- Hello darlings! Today, I will show you how to make Coco Custard Buns. Let's indulge together this coco goodness but easy to make.
Here's what you'll need:
1 tbsp sugar 10g
2 tsp active dry yeast 6g
1 cup milk 237ml
½ cup unsalted butter (110g)
1 large egg
3½ cup all purpose flour (437g)
¼ cup sugar (50g)
1 tsp salt (5g)
Coco Custard:
1 cup dessicated coconut
½ cup milk (evap or fresh)
1/3 cup condensed milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg yolk
Eggwash: 1 egg plus 1 tbsp of milk

This is the very first recipe I use from your channel. I followed everything except for I used my Kitchenaid mixer to knead the dough on "stir" for 5-7 mins until it became smooth.
That coconut custard cream was the bomb!!!!
I had my closest Filipino friends taste them and they were a hit.
Stored them in the fridge and microwave for 10-15 secs to warm them up, they're soft and delicious.

Hi if you want to use a stand mixer you can just knead the dough until its smooth and have a “window pane” texture. Just mix at a low speed with dough hook attachment
