Yeah I mean anything is better that just straight up ignoring peoples interest in repairing and improving their product. Of course the company is fearful of modifications or botched repairs leading to injury. To spitball a random solution, if they just made their safety mechanisms modular so that you can open it up and fix it yourself with more of the liability being clear where if the hardwired safety mechanism is tampered with. And make a big yellow tag that has a warning about not tampering with the safety module. Then futuremotion can better defend themselves in court. They way they’re playing it now, with the ghosting issues, they better start directly addressing problems and pivoting or their reputation is going to suffer. Like this will be remembered as a big failure or a windfall moment of redemption. And not the kind of uptight pandering apple pulled with their 80lb repair kits for your iPhone.
Hey, I want to chime in on the 'honest' thing. I'm not sold on the GT either, and agree with Max on most points, but people who like it more than we do aren't necessarily being dishonest. I know you didn't say it verbatim but the implication is certainly there. If they have different demands/priorities this might be a heavenly board for them. That's not being dishonest at all, just a differerent assessment of the same facts.
@As the World Burns I know. It's infuriating. Future Motion is abusing their monopoly in a ruthless manner. That has nothing to do with someone liking the board for what it is being dishonest, though. That's all I'm saying. Sometimes it seems like only the harsh reviews are seen as 'honest'. I think that's not fair to the people who just like something being labelled as 'dishonest'. For what it's worth, I'm getting angrier by the day at Future Motion for how they are treating their customers.
@As the World Burns For some people it might be. For many others not so much. It's subjective. If you accuse somebody of being dishonest, you are saying, that they want to deceive you. I don't want to exaggerate this discussion into anything more than it is. Some people like it without being dishonest about it, i. E. not purposefully trying to hide the negatives. They either don't see the negatives as enough to dampen their enjoyment, or really haven't encountered any (yet). One is lying, the other is an opinion different from ours. That has to still be possible. Now I'm starting to paraphrase and repeat myself. I think I've explained it enough. If I haven't made a good enough point, I will have to live with my failure.
I get all i need out of my stock XR and planning to upgrade it..at first i was mad when i bought an XR and they released the GT a week later...now im happy!
@@MaxxSend truer words never spoken. And dump the frame the grade of metal is cheap, bends and strips out easy. Go aftermarket and get it powder coated like I did before install. The stuff lasts. Don't know why FM didn't do it to the OWs. There paint comes off so easily.
Great video Max! I'm loving the gt for cruising above 18mph without fear of nose diving. Was hoping it would crush hills for me, but if it's over heating and draining the battery, then I might as well bring the cbxr on trails. Haven't tried trails on the GT yet, not real trails anyways.
Thanks!! For sure it's an awesome street cruiser with a solid nose. Felt like a tank riding at pushback and nose dragging. As soon as the over heating (and maybe battery longevity) is resolved, you're gonna love the uphill torque. I'd put my finger at around 10-15% increase over CBXR. But everything else trail related diminishes the appeal of the GT, especially the loss in clearance.
Recently got into boosted boarding and looking to upgrade. My board is pretty nice but is not too stable on bumpy sidewalks and would be better if I could offroad to get around my campus easier. Was thinking about the GT but the whole shtick with FM is driving me away from them and I am thinking of just getting a second hand XR with some mods. I can get a relatively good XR with some mods for under 2k and it doesn't weigh even close to 40 pounds nor is it too large which means easy portability when taking it indoors for class. Lets hope they fix the issues the GT has and FM fixes their right to repair problems.
modded XR is the way to go. Xr has been refined by the community, a lot cheaper and nearly the same benefits. Gt just has too many deliberate roadblocks for RTR and aside from the slight boost in torque, feels like it's going backwards..
@@MaxxSend Totally agree. I have heard that even though there are some limitations depending on the firmware you have for the XR, you can still work around it which is nice. When I get one, I plan to get a fender with foot holds and a nice rail. Maybe a battery upgrade in the future.
great review and I liked that you filmed some proper trail riding which is all I do here in Australia. Looks like I'll be sticking to my tricked out XR for now. I just swapped over to tech rails which are amazing if you get the chance to try them out.
Ooof. I've got a Pint X I have about 250 miles on now and sort of wanting a bigger board. I'm around ~210lbs, probably 215ish with riding gear, and more if I'd like to carry a backpack with some other things. I do get some foot fatigue relatively over so kind of wanting something with a bit wider stance and bigger pads. Having a hard time deciding between a GT or a used XR that's either got a CBXR or a hardware version that can be. I have heard the XR is overall better probably if you're wanting to do tricks, but the torque from the GT may be nice, especially for trails? At this point do you think an upgraded XR is still a better board?
Wow the over heating segment is extremely concerning. Great video!... I'm 215 lbs, I need that GT torque for the trails. When my XR dives in the dirt my fangs dont work lol.
Yes it was quite the let down, we didn't even start the main section and it overheated.. Not even sure if a firmware update can fix it, seems more like the hardware. Gotta say tho, I'm 193 lbs and can feel that uphill torque increase, prob ~10-15%more. Take off the fangs and trust the float plates and/or bang bumpers to let u sliidde 🤙🏻
I’ve been thinking about upgrading to the cbxr battery! But I hear it can fry your bms over time., is your xr still running okay with the battery upgrade? And also did you have to mod your battery housing? I’ve been looking at the larger Badger battery box
CBXR has higher amp discharge than stock battery so depending on your riding you may indeed end up overpowering the bms. Stock battery housing is fine for cbxr, but the badger box is more spacious. However you'll need the custom badger rear bumper to fit with the badger box. Btw I no longer ride fm boards, instead I ride VESC, which is wayy more powerful and better! Check out some of the vids after this to see why :)
Great video!! Yah I figured I'd hold on to my XR for a bit, though the random nosedives my XR's been doing scares the daylights out of me. Hopefully FM will fix the GT's glitches anytime soon so I can really think about getting one.
Damn random nosedives, does it shut down? You may want to check the back of ur bms, over time the battery box slots dig into the bms and creates grooves. Scary stuff. I like to put some soft tape on the back of all my bms 🤙🏻
I don’t understand why people are complaining about the RTR. You can still do it, it just requires that you replace the ESC along with the battery, and a VESC will make this board reliably hit 25 no pushback. It’s also cheaper to gut the thing, and replace everything electronic behind the motor, than it is to ship it off for a “tune up”. And this thing has enough real estate on board for 30cells. That’s 15s2p which is 60v10A. That’s insane power to have under your feet.
the principle of supporting RTR is why purposely put so much effort to prevent modding? safety? pff. Why pair the bms & battery, hardwire the battery housing to controller, brick the board when trying to mod? It's all hindering innovation. Anyway as of now it doesn't make much sense to vesc a gt, because 1) most are still under warranty, 2) the connectors are proprietary so modding them to fit the vesc controller will be a PITA, 3) gt motor is the same as XR so same power capacity. The bigger battery box is nice, but currently I have an 84V battery in my XR stock box, and it can hit 31+mph without reaching pushback, and insane torque. XR platform is just far better to vesc, along with lower center of gravity and better mods (rails, bumpers etc). better to get the 2000W fungineers motor and an extended XR battery box for CBCSO or TORque pack :)
hey mate, thanks for the awesome review. I like your workshop, I wish there were shops like you here in Australia that I can simply walk in and get things done. do you sell any products online?
Thanks for tuning in bro! I don't sell anything as of now. This shop is my friend Shawn's @santacruzwheelslip. It truly is a blessing to have someone pretty close to help take care of board issues.. Bummer there aren't many in Aus, maybe you can be the first in ur town! 🎵👊🏻
Those were my suspicions put to video. Jumped on a friend's GT and went like, 5mph, the motor felt niiiice, like butter. But I cancelled the GT and put a CBXR and KIILz suspension and I'll let other people figure out how to get around that GT Battery mod problem and am happy to wait on the GT, maybe when it gets suspension =oP
Still a bit early to jump on the bandwagon. That killz suspension is pillowwyy. Now that's some real innovation! FM has been sitting on their link suspension for years, where is it?? You're not missing much with the gt as is.
@@MaxxSend I wonder if the PintX will be the new modder's champion. I think the first person to dare to make wider PintX foot pads like the Platypus for XR is going to make a ton.
Motor is unchanged from the XR, battery is much beefier using state of the art cells capable of delivering much higher watts without getting warm, so I'd say neither. It must be the controller in its newly designed enclosure and how it transfers heat to the frame/environment
@@surfdado you make good points. But it could still be the motor methinks. Wondered if Max checked the app to see the three temps. There’s a video of a guy that rode his GT up a long grade in Hawaii and it shut down due to overheating. The hub cover plate was so hot he couldn’t leave his finger on it for more than a second.
My GT motor is overheating with moderate use. With a plus following me my GT errored at 185 and the plus motor was around 160. I got 3 miles before the error.
@@floatfanatics8850 oh wow - I was going to respond above that it makes sense that the increased power capability of the GT can indeed more easily overheat the motor, if that additional power is actually used. But in your case it sounds like even when the same amount of work is done (i.e. transport the rider up a hill at equal speed) the GT overheats more easily. It could be that the GT's motor mount and the rails are less efficient at transferring heat away from the motor. That is indeed very disappointing
I'm not quite sure which, I would assume it's the motor, as if there was any issue with the battery cells most likely it would start captain morganing. But could be both!
Great video Max. I think time will help the GT. But for now it just depends on how you ride. For me the GT works. I feel you for sticking with the Sick ass board you have! 🤙🏼
After all these years I was hoping for more innovation. Especially since they're sitting on a suspension patent.. But confident our aftermarket gurus will help it reach its full potential!
@@MaxxSend Yeah honestly... Especially the footpad, the one big thing differentiating it from the pint x, is a big fail imo. They would see that the wide kush was very popular if they did any research and it makes a lot more sense to chamfer it outwards rather than like this. Its not like its an iphone and you need to safe every milimeter to fit it inside your pocket. Same with the clearance, thats the thing ALOT of the mods tried to modify on the XR. I expected they would redesign it a bit into a triangle so that the bulk of the materials are closer to the tire where it matters the least and it can get slimmer with more clearance towards the tip. But no instead they actually fill up even the remaining space and add an extra half inch just to make it equal on both sides. If not even people like you, who have devoted a good chunk of money and time to these boards, are convinced its the latest and greatest, then i dont see new people be too willing to purchase an expensive GT rather than an used XR. I personally will just wait. Hope the software can fix the balance on jumps for you and maybe the overheating too. Or maybe finally some knock off company makes a decent one wheel to start a competition and make them try harder.
I heard the new firmware fixed the tail drop but what about the braking when you bail on a downhill? If my CBXR did what the GT did in that video(continue rolling) I would have submerged my board in a creek at least twice.
Thanks brotha. Wow bone stock XR over GT is a big statement! Even with a vega? I'd say the breakeven point for me would be a stock XR with kush wide and TX-33 lol
@@MaxxSend yep even with a vega! Which I’m fluent on vega, but still. I’m doing my GT vs XR series completely stock. Got a burris for the XR when I’m done.
I would have to agree. I am looking to upgrade to a onewheel in the near future and the price point is the big hitter for me. I can get a second hand XR for 1200. Even if the GT has a slight upperhand at stock, the difference of $800 can be put towards mods which easily up it for me.
chilled pavement cruiser here, wanted a GT but being in Australia the RTB servicing will be a killer for shipping...so in 2022 I searched for an XR, picked up 4209, 171kms travelled this week, should be able to keep it going for a decade between battery mods , VESC etc even if parts break on it.
Thanks for the excellent video! I too am in love with my Bang’d WTF CBXR. I appreciate you taking the time to share your experience between the 2. Also, thank you for your trick tip videos, they’ve helped me a lot! Enjoy the day brother 🐉🥷🧙♂️🙏🏻🤙🏼
Hell yea you're welcome dude! Happy to hear the tutorial series helped 😊 Consider trying the half&half lift for ur wtf, feels sooo good on trails. Much love 👊🏻
If you spent as much to upgrade the gt as you did the xr, which would be better? Heat management is kind of a bummer, how is it now with updates and upgrades?
I'm sure once the gt is fully decked out with available upgrades and refined settings, it should be the better performer. It's already getting better feedback with the new firmware update. However if they don't allow us to repair, and continue to make the board brick if you disconnect the BMS, I will not support the gt and instead fully go with VESC and my current modded xrs.
You can put more weight on the front to counteract the tail drag on a drop. Are you biased or what? When you're airborne, the wheel spins faster than intended and tries to slow you down. What's the issue?
It's a general consensus amongst the heavier senders that the gt is way more tail happy than the xr. Have u tried a significant downhill drop and/or bonk with the gt yet without significant tail drag? Would love to see some of your footage to be enlightened. You are theory based instead of execution lol. Did u not listen to my conclusion? I am as unbiased as possible and gave the gt credit where it's due, especially in my Part 1 vid of the pros that I like. But I'm sure you haven't informed yourself from that yet. What benefit do u imagine I get from being biased? 😂🤦🏻♂️
Not sure if you saw he did land on the tire once or twice and it still tail dragged. He also found that on bumps, his foot fell more forward due to the weight of the board. Together, that means that leaning forward would either do nothing or shoot him off the front of the board. Not sure if you watched the whole vid mate.
Awesome review we basically have the same xr setups. My question is do you recommend me getting a lift kit on my wtf rails? Some time when turning sharp I hit nose and I hate it. I was thinking about going straight rails again but this sounds like a interesting option 🤔
What are the mods on the XR. I just bought an XR at Christmas. Have only put on a few miles before the snow here in MI. and am a new rider. But I can't fathom what all these mods are that would result in $3000 invested. I have a fender and rail guards, and was told to buy upgraded footpads. What are all these other mods?
@@MaxxSend Thank you. Sorry I missed that. Can I get the CBXR? I bought the XR new around Christmas and I thought someone said I can't upgrade battery with the firmware I have. Or did I understand that wrong? I'd love the extra range.
If you like to bonk, nudge or do drops to a decline during trail rides, it absolutely makes a significant improvement. You clip things on the nose/tail way less
I think it's always a good idea to provide some protection to your board. While you may lose a bit more clearance, I'd still get them until tfl comes out with the gt bangs.
Have you had any problems with the stronger pushback of the GT compared to the almost un-noticeable pushback of an XR? Also I was wondering how often it was overheating.. was that a one time thing or a reoccurring problem. Nice vid btw
I didn't hit pushback that often on trails since I was testing more on technical features. Didn't go too much faster than 17mph so it wasn't an issue. For street riding it was way more noticeable and annoying. It only overheated once when I tested it for about 2 hours. But it overheated on 2 other occasions with its owner. All in all, I still greatly prefer a modded XR :)
Thank you for this lucid lighting on the 2 machines. The beginnings are difficult and the GT still has a long way to go before conquering the hearts of all riders, but let's hope that technical solutions will quickly fill all its gaps for the good of all...
Agree that launches are usually rough. But I don't have too much hope they're gonna change many things, more hopeful that our aftermarket gurus will come up with innovative improvements 😊
@@MaxxSendI don't think FM is handling this launch competently. The way they are handling the delays. The way they obviously didn't have outside input before they finished determining their flagships characteristics. The way they are letting customers beta-test their product. The irrational decision to not establish service points outside of their Santa Cruz home, making it mindblowingly expensive and time consuming to repair anything. For them and us. Etc, etc. Rough is an understatement. This is the arrogance of a monopoly on full display. Imagine any car manufacturer behaving this way. Unfathomable. Your Toyota doesn't turn on, after a day? Ok, send it back to Japan. Listen, my car just drove into traffic by itself. No, worries, it's just the sensitive gas pedal. Only a lot of our not paid brand ambassadors experienced this. No biggie. Oh, just the gas pedal? How nonchalant. Are you insane? Your car is obviously not ready for release, yet. Also, leaving the narrative about all of this in the hands of social media by making zero official statements is marketing suicide, but you do you, FM. Great launch.
Yes, I am a Whisper die-hard. I really wish the GT had a better tire. However, on smooth pavement it is pleasant. It’s the side hussle where is gets hard on the joints, lol.
To be fair...... I've only spent 10 miles on the GT..... on the other side, there is a reason for that.... my XR...well it's perfect. Carves on the GT are lumbery, the slanted footpads mean leass overhang and thus less leverage for deep carves. I don't ride straight lines. There's been a couple of sketch heel side carves where my body is waiting on the board to get under my center of gravity like someone pulling a chair out from under you as you sit. Somehow in those moments I must have managed a slight levitation because for 5-7 millseconds my brain was pretty sure I was gonna take a moving seat on tarmac. I'm a daily driver/rider and am in full aggreement with Max here and I've only spent time on Tarmac. With every board there's a learning curve whether that be in the ocean, snow, or whatever medium. If my wife does not take me seriously and learn to ride (and ride the GT) I'm highly considering selling now that the demand is there for an immediate delivery (I live in the central valley CA. I could be talked out of my GT. Screen name TheBeardedWonder in Visalia CA. Just putting it out there.
I'm handicap and learned to ride to get some leg movement back and a way to get around. The idea and the fact of the board being almost 10lb heaver is CRAZY Surely we can go back to the drawing board because we didn't get any faster unless you can't ride your XR. But the iphoneGT is shit from a product that has 6 years experience, no excuse focusing on jailing the hardware and software over improving the ride for the user. I mean it's sad a CBXR can go further while doing it lighter WTF FM.
Left out that all new versions BRICK when replacing battery packs now so they have to be sent into the only (1) service center in the USA on your dime and replaced with dealer parts no mater what. This was not true on all older models but now these are only loaners and 100% new GT's will need to be sent back to the factory for battery replacement and whatever else they decide it needs when you unplug the battery or just need a new one. Sad...... It is against the law for them to do this plus someone made a workaround for it and they are being sued already. People really need to know this stuff before purchase and are not being told.
Very valid point. I didn't want to get into the real deep stuff like this but it needs to be said. How can you deliberately cause the product to brick when you are trying to understand your own product? I was utterly shocked (then quickly wasn't surprised) when I learnt this. Furthermore the battery is now hardwired to the controller, making things even more tricky.. Really appreciative of an overall amazing product bringing us joy, but they are pushing us away after taking our money.. 🤦🏻♂️😒
They absolutely did little to no testing/feedback with the community and hardcore riders. Aftermarket gurus will help the product reach its full potential, per usual..
The most important thing is to hate FM, their no right to repair policy, lack of spare parts, warranty void issues and bricking boards on purpose. Also planned obsolence
Great feedback from an experienced rider. It would be nice to see a stock XR vs GT video. There are loads comparing the GT with all the best XR mods. Without the lift and W rails, how well would an XR take the bonks and drops the GT had issues with? The XR has a nice after market battery, but how would the stock battery fare on that hill climb? Is the battery loss from the XR the same voltage loss as the GT? Sorry, I'm not sure if the aftermarket battery has more capacity. Not every rider gets all the crazy mods. Most XRs I've seen have the easy moods like bumpers, rail protection, foot pads, and a tire swap. That's what's available for the GT...well float plates for now instead of bumpers.
I love how Karma is destroying this company. The more they make profit driven decisions, the more great engineers they will lose. Pretty soon this company will be performance garbage
On the clearance issue...Ur WTFXR has a 11" tire vs 11.5" GT . Therefore the WTFXR is already riding lower...yet still has more clearance due to the angled rails!! EDIT...just caught ur part1. So ur WTFXR setup also has a lift kit...so my comment above is less relevant.
Very peculiar right? The main issues are the rails flaring out at the ends and the thickness of the bumpers causing the loss of the clearance. Even with a wtf *without* lift kit and a stock rail with float plates, they still have approx 0.25" more clearance than gt.. Almost 1" more with lifted wtf
Comparing a GT battery to CBXR battery and then not giving the details about how the CBXR performed is a pretty piss poor assessment. XR fan bois be really annoying.
easy answer: do you want your current GF or want a new GF. I think i would prefer the latter. The new one is always better, no doubt. Just think of the tech that is in the GT. no way i would go back to my old GF. GT all the way. . . it s just better. That is why the old is gone. but then again. . .with a good battery. .that might make a big difference. . the GT is a princess. .hehehe. more like a spoiled princess.
Or better yet, have both gfs 😏 New tech is great, but isn't necessarily better overall, especially when they are made to force us to rely on them completely. For ex, putting a lock on the bms where if you unplug it, it bricks your board.. How does that make things better? Also the battery box is hardwired to the controller box, can't disconnect. These 'enhancements' are made to try and prevent us from modding/repairing ourselves. There are some improvements, but overall where is the real innovation? They've been sitting on their suspension patent for years, yet where is it? Having 7 modded xrs, I don't see the need to spend more to have the gt. VESC looks more convincing..

I just swapped over to tech rails which are amazing if you get the chance to try them out.
thanks for the support! lovin' my lifted W varials. Check out some of the more recent VESC vids, hope you can try it one day :)
XR and WTF all the way... I hope FM see's value in bringing the XR back.
@@MaxxSend- Yeah, it shuts off after a nosedive. Ok will check it. Thnx man. Glad I found your channel.
That murdered out gt looks ❤❤❤
@@MaxxSend
I wonder if the PintX will be the new modder's champion.
I think the first person to dare to make wider PintX foot pads like the Platypus for XR is going to make a ton.
That is good reviews and good advice for people who just start getting to onewheel.
appreciate it!
What kind of elbow and knee pads are you wearing? I like them
elbow is by Fox Titan, Leatt 3.0 EXT knee/shin guard
@@MaxxSend excellent thanks! I will check them out
Thanks for putting this together. What is overheating? Motor or battery?
The xr looks awsome with the WTF rails 🤙🤙
Great video Max. I think time will help the GT. But for now it just depends on how you ride. For me the GT works. I feel you for sticking with the Sick ass board you have! 🤙🏼
Thanks bro! Totally agree, gt is awesome and plenty for many people, and hopefully gets better ✌🏻
Im hoping a firmware update helps. I'm not sold either but I'm waiting to see how the aftermarket makes it more enjoyable
🤣 Built like a tank and acting like a princess
A fragile tank or bulky princess 🙈
So board on the RT is XR ? " What's the cost to get mine to look like that " and better battery as shown ?
yes, breakdown at 0:03..
I heard the new firmware fixed the tail drop but what about the braking when you bail on a downhill? If my CBXR did what the GT did in that video(continue rolling) I would have submerged my board in a creek at least twice.
I still like stock XR over GT. Still trying to find some magic in GT. Anyhow great video and solid information.
It’s the tire , it’s too round , torque is superb
I would have to agree. I am looking to upgrade to a onewheel in the near future and the price point is the big hitter for me. I can get a second hand XR for 1200. Even if the GT has a slight upperhand at stock, the difference of $800 can be put towards mods which easily up it for me.
chilled pavement cruiser here, wanted a GT but being in Australia the RTB servicing will be a killer for shipping...so in 2022 I searched for an XR, picked up 4209, 171kms travelled this week, should be able to keep it going for a decade between battery mods , VESC etc even if parts break on it.
Gt is a pretty big risk for intl users like yourself.. Xr is a better option rn. I'm gonna try vesc myself!
What about the GT with WTF rails?
Dope, Thinking of getting one so this helps so much.
find a good used XR and wait for them to come out with something truly superior to the XR cuz the GT aint it..
3:15 Could be a high voltage push back, that setpoint doesn't look right to me.
Interesting.. it shouldn't be there! Felt I did everything I could to land that flat on tire but it still denied me
Thanks for the excellent video!
Nice vid! Just bought a normal XR, what's the difference between your XR and a normal stock one?
thanks! The upgrades list is at 0:03.. More detailed breakdown in Part 1
👍👍
Great review.
What protective gear is that on your legs?
Leatt knee/shin guards
Awesome review we basically have the same xr setups. My question is do you recommend me getting a lift kit on my wtf rails? Some time when turning sharp I hit nose and I hate it. I was thinking about going straight rails again but this sounds like a interesting option 🤔
What are the mods on the XR. I just bought an XR at Christmas. Have only put on a few miles before the snow here in MI. and am a new rider. But I can't fathom what all these mods are that would result in $3000 invested. I have a fender and rail guards, and was told to buy upgraded footpads. What are all these other mods?
breakdown at 0:03..
@@MaxxSend Thank you. Sorry I missed that. Can I get the CBXR? I bought the XR new around Christmas and I thought someone said I can't upgrade battery with the firmware I have. Or did I understand that wrong? I'd love the extra range.
@@jainubeezy1 no worries. you will just need a 'JWFFM' chip from JW batteries, plus the CBXR or JWXR, installed correctly.
Does the TFL Half and Half lift kit make that much of a difference for the WTF setup with CBXR?
If you like to bonk, nudge or do drops to a decline during trail rides, it absolutely makes a significant improvement. You clip things on the nose/tail way less
@@MaxxSend would you recommend it to anyone who is running the W rails looking to ride trails?
@@tritoncorp if u are into the things I mentioned above yes
Honestly with how xrs aren’t sold anymore I think I’m gonna get a pint x
So would you recommend not putting tfl float plates on the GT?
Not to excited on getting my gt in a few days.. will have to give it some time
Thank you for this lucid lighting on the 2 machines.
The GT with slick tire is a carving monster and outshines all the other boards on that one particular strength.
Have you tried a Street Pro or Whisper? Both of those better than the GT slick!
The gt motor seems to stay loose until it's almost stopped then it clicks and has resistance.
Yea I noticed that. But by the time it comes to a stop it may be over a cliff already lol
I’m having the button pressing issues with turning on. Going to be contacting FM 😕
Bummer! Seems they have been on top of resolving issues pretty quickly
I think FM focused more on integrating a kill switch rather than making sure their new board was working first..
My GT gives me massive range anxiety. :(
i've noticed the tail drag after a jump also. such a pain.
Plus only the XR can run Kiil Guard shocks to save your knees (until they iterate for the GT that is...)
aesthetic treads, lol. Good overheating feedback
I bought a 27 dollar tube of thero fluid and opened up my gt motor and added it my motor now does not overheat and cools 56% faster
I'm handicap and learned to ride to get some leg movement back and a way to get around. The idea and the fact of the board being almost 10lb heaver is CRAZY
Surely we can go back to the drawing board because we didn't get any faster unless you can't ride your XR.
I guess the XR+ was already the perfect board.
I believe Future Motion is having quality control issues” also I don’t think they listened to there customers for what was wanted beyond the xr”
All I can say about future motion with their horrible anti-right to repair policy is FUCK future motion!
Agreed. Hopefully they straighten themselves up or they will quickly lose a lot of revenue over the lack of sales.
Kicks back to tha tail quicker cause way more torque my brotha float on from Dallas
I reheating with that powder coat is gonna have to be changed before I get one.
…I really want one too.
I love how Karma is destroying this company. The more they make profit driven decisions, the more great engineers they will lose. Pretty soon this company will be performance garbage
Futuremotion really crapped the bed with the GT. It's just flat out sad and disappointing on every level.
Gotta say I kinda agree. They had years to make something more innovative but this is all they got? Where's the suspension they have a patent for..
Wow, my GT is amazing. I already have 150 miles on it. Tons of fun. I’ve only done one big hill
XR fo life il be barried with my XR
@@MaxxSend yeah but how many nosedrags did you do on that XR haha
@@JakeLeary hahah exactly 69 times, perfect for maximum root spoonage 😊
Ask Elon Musk what he'd think about a 20-30% weight increase ! ( GT is 9 freaking pounds heavier than the XR ???? )
gt got no wow
