While stylistically not rock, it is featured on a rock (metal) album, my party piece is playing the intro to To Live is To Die by Metallica on the ukulele
I bet sounds awesome on uke! With distortion for the main bit?
@@UkuleleWales I tend to just play the intro, but I guess with distortion and an octave-down pedal you may be able to do the main bit justice (no pun intended) on the E and A strings. Hmm, I'm feeling inspired now...
Fab fun Rach, effects pedals have now moved up my list!
Awesome vid, keep them coming! X
Im obsessed with the Layla riff and I like to bend the hammer on from 3 to 5 and then again BEFORE hammering on from 5 to 7. So I hammer on from 3 to 5 then bend the 5th first. The second time I like to bend from 5 then hammer on to the 7th. Or do both bends after 3 to 5 and 5 to 7. I just like bending haha! Keep up the amazing work!
Sounds like you have your bending well sorted! 💪🎶
Oooh yeah! Love this lesson - can't get enough of it! Way to go, Rachel! You Rock!!!!
Yay! Thank you Kimberley, I was having great fun!!
Loved it!💛
Thank you!! So glad you enjoyed it but it is all down to your GREAT ukulele. Love them, Thanks @flightukulele
Loved this. And learned a little about reading tabs. You are great.
Thanks, glad to you enjoyed!
I love the way you enjoy yourself ! With satisfaction 🙂 Thank you !
Glad you enjoy it! Thank You
Lovely edit from electric uke guitar to ukulele at the beginning of the vid : )
loving this channel so much and as a mature beginner student to ukulele I also love your style of teaching
Thanks Ricky, I'm still learning a lot about video editing but it's great fun, almost as much as the ukes.
Great riffs! Love that Flight!
Thanks Steve, was trying to find different features for the riff. The Flight really is lush to play which helps.
You're a legend. Love your channel. I so badly need one of those flight solid body Ukes
Thanks a ton and yes, the flight solid body ukes are all awesome!
Awesome. Luv it. 👍👍
Thanks Trev.
thanks for that, jumping into practice now : )
Awesome to hear, have fun with it. 👍
Great video lesson. Rock on Rachel!
Thanks Shirl, great fun practicing for this one.
Awesome Rachel!
Thanks Christine, the rock chick in me breaking through again!
That looked so much fun Rachel .👍👏👏👏🎶😊
One of the most fun vids I've done yet Margaret. Hope you are keeping well and not too warm.
Just got a Fender Telelele - found this channel! Going to explore all these gems!! Thanks for this one!!
Fab to hear James, hope you enjoy other vids too.
Amazing tut! ( Thank you - and sweet looking electric uke!)
Thank you kindly! Lisa, good fun to do!
You crack me up lady. Love this tutorial.
Oh thank you, love this comment.
Wow, something challenging to really sink your teeth into. You go girl!!!!
LOL Thanks Loree, had great fun.
Thanks for the easy to understand explanation and examples l try reading from Ukulele Aerobics Book but get stuck at hammers on now l see what is required to move on ! Cheers
So glad to have helped Alex, I’m hoping to more vids for the electric ukes soon. 👍
Thanks again for another great lesson . For me the clean version s without the distortion sounds a lot better maybe we are losing a bit of quality on the devices we are watching UA-cam on .
Cheers.😀
I would definitely recommend listening through either headphones or proper speakers. There is a big difference, a few other subscribers have commented about how they've moved to headphones.
Wow, Rachel! Way to channel your inner rocker chick!! I loved this one!❤️🎸🤘🏼
Absolutely loved doing this one Julie, more riffs soon hopefully.
If I have that solid body Ukulele (modeled in Telecaster style). I will play fast metal riffs like Fight Fire with Fire by Metallica, and Angel of Death by Slayer. And even Lethal Legacy's Nevermore.
Those thrash metal riffs might be better if I play it on an electric ukulele (solid body).
Yes, these solid body electric ukulele are great for shredding! Ps, I am not a shredder LOL
Hi Rachel I been watching your videos seens yesterday 😊
Yay! Thank you! 😎
Your welcome
Good vids miss
Thanks Michael. Have a lovely Summer holiday.
Would it be possible to get your tab sheet for Fly Me To The Moon yours has some variations to the chord/melody arrangement I have and I really like your version. If it’s available please let me know where to find it.
Hi Stephanie, I can't claim any credit for this one, it's a fab arrangement though isn't it! There are loads more fabulous TABS on this site too.

Rachel thank you so much for this information I am very grateful
Stephanie
Just ordered an electric uke (and an amp with some built-in effects) today, the same red devil as your husband has. Got to try these riffs out once the set arrives. I started practising with an acoustic uke a year and a half ago as a lockdown hobby, never played anything before and as I am pushing 60 it's not that easy to get the brain and fingers in an agreement :)
Fantastic to read Olli, I am sure you are going to have lots of fun. Never to late to rock it up!!
Great Rachel, there's a rock chick in there dying to get out.. lol. Missing you this week, maybe you're on holiday. Looking forward to the next one.
Thanks Sue. No holiday just a bit busy with work. Now on summer holiday from school so lots of uke to catch up on. :-)
Can somebody share more information on how to aquire this sound and if it can be done on a regular 19 fret concert Ibenez ukulele with a built in tuner that can plug up to an Amp? But it's an electric accoustic. But I was just curious of the possibilities.
But there is only ONE plug in for the Amp.
There is no 2nd plug in like for a regular electric guitar in the front.
My first Uke was a 12 fret Kala brand Soprano accoustic.
My 2nd Ukulele was the Ibenez 19 fret concert Uke accoustic.
Now I'm curious on what brand and models of Electric Ukuleles like this one played, which ones are the best brand in the $160 range.
And which ones are also good quality but cheaper around $65.
I would t want a Uke cheaper than $50.
I've hearr about how bad they ate.
Can somebody share links with me and info on electric ukupeles, gagets and foot pedals etc I should look into and even lesson books on it that you recommend?
Cause I also have a friend whose learning to play Ukulele and I'd like to learn more about this to share with her.
Since I've never played an electric ukulele like this one she started out on.
Also which electric ukulele sounds the best?
I mean there is the soprano, the concert then tenor and baritone.
Is she playing a tenor Uke?
Hi Ashley, this is a tenor sized solid body electric ukulele with steel strings. it is exactly the same strings etc. so just like an "acoustic" or electro acoustice ukulele to play. It is possible to get a distortion sound with an electro acoustic uke, you will need to put it through effects pedals, shck out the video below. I've also done some comparison videos of my electric ukes, the Flight Pathfind is the cheapest at around £220 but well worth saving up for. Flight make several electric ukes in their Rock series. Hope this helps but please feel free to ask any more questions.

Prynhawn Rachel, Cyfarchion o'r De Ddwyrain. My darling wife has just bought me a Flight Vanguard Solid Electric Ukulele for my birthday, but the problem is I don't know how to play it to do it justice - I can play ukulele to intermediate standard but, could you suggest what resources to watch/read/buy to teach me the fundamentals and further riffs etc. diolch yn fawr a daliwch ati gyda'r tiwtorialau rhyfeddod a cherddoriaeth.
Aw, diolch yn fawr scott. You wife is a good, good lady and of course, penblwydd hapus. I am slowly getting to grips with the lighter steel strings and will try and do something about the playing techniques soon and also more riff tutorials. @TenThumbsProductions has some great electric uke stuff too.
Do I see you have a snail sr-04? So jealous hahaha take good care of it she is a beauty.
Yes, and a fantastic uke it is! It's got such a sweet sound so nice to play, will definitely be looking after this one! ;-)
Hi Rachel. Excellent, but you've tabbed the F as an A.
Thanks Sally, especially for pointing out an error. Can you tell me where for future reference?
@@UkuleleWales Hi Rachel, it’s on the AC/DC tb.
@@sallybilzon3507 Thank You so much, I can't believe I have missed this!! Apologies, I'll put a note in the description but Thank You for pointing it out, I probably would never have noticed.
i ordered one of these till i saw your video then i cancelled as it's way too noisy for me
All noise comes from gain/amp…. Don’t be put off you can get very mellow tones as well there’s a lot of variation.
These are rock riffs, it is possible to play these electric beautifully too.
