Hey Braydon, my son said he had a blast playing with you and your brother on Friday at the Kaysville Picklr. I know that meant a lot to him that you would take time out of your busy schedule to let him play with you guys. My son and I agree that you guys are the best pickleball podcasters/ paddle reviewers out there right now and no matter how big you guys get always stay as humble as you are right now because whether you realize it or not your small acts of kindness can have a big impact on people.
Hey guys, continue to enjoy your perspective and unbiased opinions. Do you know anything about the DopePickleball paddle and their High Roller Club? Looks kinda interesting. Though I’m a bit of a sucker for perceived innovation. Not much info specs wise on the paddle.
Same crap courts in Vegas. Golf club swing test equipment already exist.Kudos to SELKIRK for stepping up and challenging UPAA. Thanks for talking on this. Since all this mess with power paddles being sold to the Rec player, I'm bringing and playing with my OM EVO on the court with any Gen 3s out there. How's the NEONIC TI ball impact feel compared to the MOD TA?
@@DinkSmashMedia Thanks for the info. I've hit the MOD TA and really liked the feel. It fits my criteria for feel of the face. I've not hit any TI face paddles.
Curious if you could provide a ranking of plushness vs firm. It seems to be a factor that I would really appreciate when making a decision to try out a paddle but unfortunately not many paddle reviewers has a chart ranking all paddles based off their stiff/plushness. I know it's going to be hard to make that list since it's a very subjective feeling.
I love this idea. I’m going to make it a future podcast topic. I may not be able to rank all of them but if I do 20 popular ones then that’ll give people a pretty good idea of how paddles compare
@pickleballeffect that would be awesome. I would suggest separating the paddles into their shape sizes. As I personally tend to like hybrid and elongated shapes, but I'm sure others would prefer standard and wide body. Excited to see your list!
@@pickleballeffect I just thought of another paddle feature/spec that would also serve as a good comparative ranking measure that I also do not see other paddle reviewers discussing, which is the dwell time on paddles. Would you also be able to make a list on popular paddles' dwell times? Thanks!
Just buy a Muvn Gruvn and be done with it. Amazing paddle at $180 max without a code and play on. In all seriousness I have purchased probably 40 plus paddles in the last 6 years from the major, mid major, and the lesser known companies. Get yourself a paddle and spend between $90 and $180 bucks and the vast majority of players will be set. Don’t overthink this! It’s not all that complicated. Reviews are doing some great work in this space so listen up! Most if not all of them are telling us that paddles like Gruvn or Monarch ( for instance ) are plenty damn good!!!
No one in our parks care about approval anymore. It's gotten too muddied. 2 months ago someone would call you out for a gen 3. Today no one cares. 3s is "approved" and we all know gearbox is hotter so who cares anymore. Who are we to see which org approval is needed in rec.
for the people who say let the game evolve through technology. Just look at tennis, there’s no more or little serve and volley game in pro or rec play. Tennis technology has made ground strokes so deadly that staying on the baseline makes it safer than going to the net. Imagine pickleball with more speedups than dinks, more drives than drops, more power plays than tactics. Buck has to stop somewhere and i think we reached it in pickleball. Gen 1.5 to 2 is plenty power and spin for the modern pickleball game we don’t need gen 3 levels, it will ruin the game. My 2 cents ✌️
Hey guys, the velocity sum between the impacting surfaces is all that matters. Period. A paddle velocity of 40 mph and a motionless ball is exactly the same as a 40 mph ball and a motionless paddle or any combination that adds up to 40 mph. A very basic engineering principle.
100% I’m not arguing that. I think a motionless paddle at whatever angle they choose though is not an accurate way to determine maximum spin potential of paddle. When I brought up the paddle swinging at the ball instead I wouldn’t have it swing in a straight path
@@DinkSmashMedia There is only one valid topspin test … Jack Sock’s arm … that would be a good database. I bet he could get that 2200 with a cardboard box. Tell Braydon we are sorry he failed the bathroom deflection test … sh.!.t happens … wait … pee happens. TMI

Bless Braydon and his brutally honest nature.
So glad you put chapters in these. Thank you
Love the new studio! All the little touches you've been adding are really upping the production and professionalism
Congrats DadBod.Panda... so lucky.
Thanks for Braydon and Kyle. I have a HUDEF Mage Pro Gen2 but I'm also interested in Neonic Flare.
very informative pod, fellas! Thanks.
Awesome podcast.
Pickleroll has a press release about how they were not used in Utah and that they have no PPA events where they are doing the courts.
Nice wall sign !!!!!

I’m actually in contact with them and getting a high roller. Very cool looking and I love titanium so could be a winner for me
@@DinkSmashMedia Me too. Really looking forward to the J2K titanium

How's the NEONIC TI ball impact feel compared to the MOD TA?
Compared to the mod TA the impact feel is night and day. The Titanium is much softer on impact. The Mod-TA has load more power though .

Gary is a cool guy
The coolest 😂
If you listen to KOTC the UPA basically admitted that they passed the joola because they need a lot of capital to keep PPL going.

Did UPA pass the Joola paddle with their test or did they use the Joola to make the test?😮
Where can I find standards for UPA testing?
No idea but when you find it can you let me know 😂 pretty sure they aren’t published and available to the public yet
Most of the top 10 review type lists on the internet for places like Forbes are now AI generated. It is a big problem for consumers.
That actually makes a lot of sense. The list was so funny
I'd love to be an ambassador!
Should the UPA be in the paddle business?
