You're my golf hero! Really impressed with your content and community. And now, as a part of the Facebook group, my feed is filled with golf posts and I LOVE IT. Thank you for everything you're doing!
I found your channel last last weekend and watched most of your videos. Last Sunday I played 74 even with a triple bogey and hence dropped my handicap by 1.6 all at once. One could say your "stress free" style of play helped me a lot. Keep up the quality of your videos!!
Great vids man, played yesterday using stress free golf, avoiding the danger, resulting in no out of bounds or hazards, great progress, playing away from the danger is the way to keep your score low and give yourself a few extra chances out there. Good value from this channel
i like the new format where you explain the strategy for the hole first and then play it. also the advice to look back from the is great. will do that going forward. tks!!!
You're right about laying up and accepting you wont make the green, also it helps to find a distance you're good from and try and lay up to that, for me it's 80 yards so I'll try and lay up to there and know I'll have a decent chance at par still
I’m a big fan playboy, love all your videos. Nothing funnier then hearing the caddies yell “Fore” with those crazy ass accents haha (I’m from the states so that shit is funny as hell)
Your positivity is contagious man. Got me saying waddaplaya all the time on the course now 😄. As long as you keep making this quality fun content...ill keep watching 👀
That second shot on 17 is killer playa good. Golf IS fun, thanks for continuing to keep it that way for us! Next Friday I'm playing with guys I haven't played with (with my new playa mode golf style), interested if they see a difference - really hoping they do on the scorecard!!!
Whad up playa 😎 best part is when you're all yelling fore. The analysis was great also but heck after the second beer I got sidetracked or sidekicked hey golf sidekicked 😂 cool video
Hilarious par on the last hole 😂 it’s so funny how we all seem to hit some of our best shots just before or after our worst! You’re right golf is fun 👍🏼
This was a good video for you to put up now because my approaches were terrible in the last round I played. And Wow those Waddaplaya buckets are lookin fresh..
A few pretty good shots there Playa, regardless of beers. Great par on #18, that 3rd shot was La Bomba. Looking forward to when I can order most of that stuff you were sitting in front of, yeah. :-)
4:39 Hahaha, my dad used to say that all the time. Sometimes, just to mix it up he would say "and, Bobs your mother's brother" or " Bob's your sister's aunties husband" Good times, good times. 😀
I live in the Philippines so I know how good a cold 🍺 or 6 tastes on the back nine takes the stress right out of the swing and game ha ha ha. As long as you enjoying with your mates is all that really matters
Great video, Matt The caddies are a joy. As a chance to play at Augusta is top of most golfer's wish lists, if we were ever given the chance I wonder how we'd play it. I suspect, for me, as it's a once in a lifetime deal, I'd renege on stress free golf and go for every pin even if it needs a one in twenty shot.
First thing I would do is NOT hit it in the water like Spieth. Then I would fly the green at 15 so I don't end up like Sergio I'd hit way right on 13 to avoid the Rory pull I'd just do whatever the pros didn't do on their poor days and avoid making their score and walk away with a bogey or double and say, PLAYED THAT BETTER THAN JORDAN!
Matt at 10:50 you give some great advice to the higher handicappers trying to break 90 and 100 about adding strokes...what about those of us trying to break 80 regularly? Should I be giving myself stokes on the toughest 7 holes? Got any other mental advice on how to approach the course? or the hole? or the situation that can help some of us 10hcps looking to get under 6hc.
99% sure you and I were separated at birth. First time watching your videos and, though I'm FAR less skilled than you, we have the same approach to the game. Cheers brother! And no such thing as too many beers on the course ;) haha!
can't say enough about the content and mindset discussions that i've incorporated into my game. any info around where you're stashing the link for these head covers and hats would be greatly appreciated!
Hey, Matt! Where do you get your sunhats from? I need some here in Sweden thanks to being bald as a bald headed eagle. Burns the shit out of me with a regular cap.
Alright, I think I can offer some advice that, with all due respect, makes more sense. After all, what good does planning approach shots do when you're already on the green.. or not. Instead, when you're studying the course the night before or even standing on the tee-box, play the hole backwards mentally. So if you're playing a par 4, ask yourself "where do I want to putt from?", ideally, uphill. then ask "what part of the fairway gives me the best angle to get to that spot on the green?" then finally, "what shot gets me to that spot on the fairway?" Hope that helps.
Matt, what are those 100, 90, and 80 breaker medallions in the background, I'd like to order those for my milestones, but didnt see them on your website
Thanks playa...Only if it's a longer video will I put 3 ads in. It does take a large number of hours of free time to edit as well as paying between $70 and $120 for the green fees, caddies, transport per video . Anything less than 15 or so minutes will only have two ads. That's less than television and are skippable after 5 seconds unlike TV.
I've got to know how you're affording all the golf in these fantastic locations. Is it some IT startup, rich parents/partner, or the golf channel makes enough to keep you? Whatever, I love your videos (and I'm very jealous). keep it up, Matt!
The source of funding is certainly not partner or parent and maybe that will be elaborated on in the future but for now, the movement and the spreading of fun and making golf simpler and more enjoyable is primary. What I do is pretty boring but all I can say is it's all self-made, playa.
I think the reason golfers play so poorly on average is simply because greens fees are astronomical. A municipal course in Tulsa charges upwards of $50 for a round of golf once taxes are factored in. That’s cost prohibitive for most players. Even walking rates are ridiculously priced if you play on weekends.

Dude $100 says I would shoot a new PR if I listened to that intro jam on repeat for 18 holes. Not even a question. Gets me hyped, I love it.

My two take aways: Panty liner shaped greens & no relief from the cart path!!!
Brian Beckham can’t believe that shot off the path. Beast mode!!!

Ok might be a dumb question but what irons are those. I’m looking at purchasing old irons
Matt, have you ever hit your camera while playing?
No sir. Only a playing partner in Kuala Lumpur hit it on a putt that went in the wrong direction but I think he did it on purpose for a laugh hahaha!
As always a great video!
Caddie no good = awesome videos! 💪🏻💪🏻
Totally digging the hole break downs early on. How good or fast were the greens on that 9? 3 beers though??? Waddalightweight🤣🍺🤣🍺🤣🍺
LOL, I lost count, it was 3 at the turn and then 1 at 14 and 1 at 16 because they put that damn hut right in the middle of all those holes
