My swing completely changed once I filmed myself and showed a pro, I would sway back, and stay there..5 minutes he had me swinging better. Great video Matty Boom Boom.
For folks in the US, go to Home Depot or Lowe's for the alignment rods, they're much cheaper listed as "Orange Ground Mount Reflective Rod". Around $3 per rod. Another great video Head Playa!
I use a 5 dollar non-slip shower mat for swing practice at home. Great for good contact. You can hear nice brush when club sweeps over the mat. Include some foam balls and good to go for indoor practice.
This video was super helpful. Have been having so much trouble with consistent club face amd and impact. My 7 iron could carry 155 or 135. My drives could go dead straight, fade, or draw. So hard to play unpredictable shapes and distances. Im going to buy the impact bag, face magnet, and the wrist brace to stop my cupping.
I literally used the club punch bag for the first time today, exactly as you’ve bought. All the stitching came apart in five minutes. I’m sure it would be a good piece of kit, providing it stays together.
Flipping he club just prior to impact is a problem many have. If you don't take a divot, you are probably flipping at impact. Not always for instance with a wedge when using the bounce there should not be a divot, but by and large with approach shots you want to take a divot. If you notice GS and his approach shots there is always a divot in front of where the ball was located,
@@SurferTy It seems like he has something on where usually the camera would be mounted on. What might that be? How can I put an allignment stick on the tripod?
I call swaying sliding. Sliding is the sensation I feel when I do it. Using sliding for the few times asked what they were doing wrong got the point across.
Play more golf on the course. Use only grass ranges. Use mats only for working on things from a coach. If you have no grass range, play on the course rather Practice irons in the beach or in s fairway bunker at a range
I use a divot board because I can’t practice somewhere with a grass range. Then practice hitting the sand at my range to work on strike. Draw a line in the sand and try and hit it exactly on the line. See how many you can do in a row and work up to 10 full swings in a row contacting in the right place. Bryson has a good video on it with Rick Shiels
holy shit, at 6:00 are you serious? thats the way to close the face? i've been twisting it in my grip/hands instead. im sure that does help but I may try that too.
@@GolfSidekick honestly that might be part of it too man. im just getting back into the swing of things at the range. got a lesson the other day, so we're on the way to improvement. currently working on weight shifting during a swing. i might try that grip trainer out too.

Boom Boom, I recently came across a UA-cam channel called Claws and Effects. They do a deep dive into how important the correct grip is, and how it is not being taught. In fact, they go against all the current UA-cam golf instruction. You might really enjoy their ideas, especially grip and how the hands and palm pressure are supposed to work. Get pro mo back on the channel, and those perfect lady golf swings. Miss those.
Hi, Matt! Great suggestions! I need to get some duct tape and tape an alignment rod to my tripod! I've always been a big slider towards the target. However your last tip touched on a topic that's extremely interesting and important to me, spot chipping. I've been a spot chipper for over thirty years and at the end of last season/beginning of this season I've made a huge discovery (maybe you already do it yourself, consciously or unconsciously) on how to use spot chipping for spot putting! You've talked about roll out on putting and how to get a feel for the speed of greens in videos. Using the very fine touch I've developed at spot chipping, I started picking out "spots" on the green to hit my putts to like I was chipping to them. These "spots" were selected as if i was chipping with a 58° wedge with a normal set-up or a 54° with a heel-up set-up (your spots might be different depending on your chipping feel). You hit it to your spot and the rest is roll out to the hole. Ever since I've been using the skill I've already developed with spot chipping for spot putting, I've decreased three putting immensely. I'm guessing since you're already a spot chipper, you could pick this up instantly. Give it a try! I found it helped immediately. If you find it has any merit, spread the word! You're awesome! Love all the putting videos lately!
Can we have a "Watch me play a round" video? one that there is not teaching or words of wisdom (intended). Just raw Stinkie winky matty boom boom in his natural state.
Where in Thailand do you play mate? Some clips look like Khao Yai but I could be wrong. Maybe you should get a group of us, your followers also living in Thailand, to have a round together sometime. Cheers!

Says so much by saying so little. #3 - the grip....someone needs to show them a good grip, and stick to it. Some people just plain out get sucked back to their sucky sucky grip. #4 - digital level. You said it all. It'll teach u to read a green. Don't be illiterate you Dawgs. #5 - impact bag. Some
my girlfriend already has one of those big pool noodles in her drawer, so I'm saving $1.55!

i've heard others say those are different, and if they break, the fiberglass is pretty brutal. no clue. just what some have said.

I literally worked that out this afternoon, using sports box AI.
Could be that your clubs need to be flatter by 1 to 3°. As you know, excessively upright lie angles promote going left.
Awesome video and tips!
Started the video next to my wife - she said “you aren’t buying more golf things again are you”!! 😂😂😂

Another great video 🤘. How do you fix the alignment stick on the tripod? Cheers from Germany
What is the name of the attachment mount for the tripod/pool noodle?
Duct tape and alignment stick
