- Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea
Season 4 Episode 7
FATAL CARGO
First aired 5 Nov. 1967, ABC-TV (US)
The Seaview goes ape when a sinister scientist (Woodrow Parfrey) brings aboard a white gorilla he can drive insane through a brain implant.
This high definition video was recorded from an HDTV broadcast of newly-transferred and restored film. The episode has been shortened by the distributor to the current standard length for one-hour episodes through the use of cuts and increased frame rate. Additional audio and video augmentation by TooleMan TV, 2024.
That Mugato really gets around. From a whole other planet.😂😂😂
Yes, it does seem to be the same costume - slightly more simply presented without the added horned ridges - as was used in that Star Trek episode. :-)
All these shows had a very low budget. Reuse, repurpose, recycle.
Same actor, too. Janus Prohaska.
The Mugato was was a monster of many talents.
Lost his horn in his interstellar time trip. Where's a phaser when you need one!? 😱
WOW Has this been restored. A Brand New Lease on Life. Thank You very much
I was 7 years old when this aired. The gorilla gave me nightmares.😀 I will try to be brave
You can do it!
That's no gorilla. That's a Mugatu.
That gorilla was kinda cute, though🤔😉(I created a dragon out of color paper for an assignment in art class and my teacher commented that it was the friendliest dragon he had ever seen. 🤭I think whoever made that gorilla costume was me in another life.😂)

Star Trek phasers are very effective.
As unbelievable as voyage can be, Leo Brock taking Capt. Crane out in a fight cross the line even for voyage. Fun to watch all the same! Thank you TooleMan
..man these vids lQQk like they're brand new...thanx 4 the upload & nostalgia tooleman..:)
Can’t wait seriously!! 🤗🤗🤗🤗
Thanks for the very clear episode and your uploading it. I watched too as a kid, but I have to say this was one of the silliest, most ridiculous episodes ever! Irwin was scraping the bottom of the barrel by season 4...
Not the greatest episode but still better than most modern TV series. Thanks for posting.
Love this type of escapism stuff, especially in todays messed up World!😢.
Me too!
Totally agree with you. That's why I keep watching these types of shows.

more than ever!
The island set looks exactly like the one used for Gilligan's Island. The older professor was in 2 episodes of 1960s Star Trek and the rare white Ape was also used in a Star Trek episode.
Another episode that shows an abysmal lack of security protocol aboard this sub. My old Seniorchief would never have allowed such sloppiness. 😮
CANT WAIT FOR ANOTHER EXCITING AND FATASTIC EPISODE ❤
The gorilla is still scary. I remember this from a long time ago. Great restoration once again great job. Thanks.
The terrific Janos Prohaszka was inside the ape suit. He played monsters on The Outer Limits & Star Trek as well.
I really am amazed at how all the electronics and computers are destroyed yet the sub is back up and running in no time. Ah. The magic of the screen. Loads of fun watching these older shows. Much better than most of the garbage that is on these days.
The crazy ideas mad scientists come up with to get aboard the Seaview!
Legend show TooleManTV. Thanks for bringing back great memories of growing up.
Thanks for another beautiful restoration, TooleMan. This episode is almost insanely entertaining. Best wishes from Australia!
Another great episode, fantastic quality as usual, thanks so much Toolman for putting these up, definitely one to eat popcorn with.
40:55 Seaview Rock and Roll (FINALLY)!
This Mugato's/Gorilla's descendants made a planetary, evolutionary(horn), and time wrap into the Star Trek universe. 😂😜🤪😎🖖
The Seaview's security were the ancestors of Starfleet's "redshirts."
Just enjoyed another episode please keep them coming xxx
It cracks me up that every monster that comes aboard ends up in the circuitry room. 😮
Really enjoying watching these old episodes in HDTV. Kudos to you for uploading theae for all of us to see. Would love to see the series Lost In Space get the same treatment!
IN COLOR….and the return of the Mugato from Star Trek TOS!
The Mugato is lacking a horn that it had on Star Trek.
Isn't it nice when we can go back to a time when the world was normal and watch good entertainment, to escape the CHAOTIC HELL !!!
“Is there anything wrong with the ship?” “No….not yet”
Chief Sharkey is the most aware of our heroes. 😁
Thank you for all of these great posts
I love these old videos
Always got a kick out of many of the internal doors being not much more than office-building doors.
i always notice when someone's film introduction in a show's titles is a strip of film run back and forth. david hedison's in these titles is one of these back-and-forth film loops. i'm sorry - i'm really sick but trying to get better.
I don't think that's true at all.
@@TooleManTV his eyes give it away
The radio @ 1:16 the old man was using is a Drake TR4 SSB ham radio, great transceiver I own one.

😂We would love to see some more of the Captain's boxing skills that he displayed in the first episode of the series. If he's going to be knocked out at least show him with some bruises afterwards. More realistic. 41:39
Why did the Admiral keep taking that gorilla to all the vital parts of the sub to which it all blew up, and I love the way the dazed Captain after insisting he was all right staggered off to be walloped again by the crazed gorilla!😵💫
Someone importing Mugatos from the planet Neural or were they imported to the planet Neural?
Inquiring minds want to know.
Glad to see it's not just the British who don't wear shorts in a baking hot jungle 😊
The cgi was amazing back in the 60s. 25:42
Creature looks so real you would think it was a real person in a furry costume.
😂
🤣 One man's CGI is another man's furry costume! 😂
The costume is the same as the Abominable Snowman one just with a new head?!
An underwater Star Trek with the same Mugatu. Now a kanootoo woman is required to cure the bitten people.
The crook in this really does look evil!
He’s a good actor
Nice job on your mustang
Excelente capítulo como todos, lástima que no lo tengan traducido en español latino!
What about the black and white episodes?
14:44 For some nutty reason I don't think that Captain Crane likes that Leo Brocht guy.
I can't believe they just kept getting side tracked from finding the Captain, there was no sense of urgency was there, and as for the poor blighter that got ejected from the torpedo tube!😳
The man in the tent, was on star trek.
Love the episode, but, don't like the scenes that were edited out. Please put them back in. Thanks 😢😢😢
46:17
"In some of this episode's sequences'crew'men 'hide-n-go seek',was necessary". 5-6-2024'
Must say the gorilla looks very cuddly. Mind you he'd probably end up cuddling me! 🙃
The ABOMINABLE SNOW MAN OF THE JUNGLE!
Bad guy was the snake oil salesman on Outlaw Josie Wales.
Using a Drake TS-4 Ham radio transceiver at the beginning. And I don't think firing high velocity hunting rifles in a nuke submarine is a very good idea. Just sayin...
this poor guy always gets killed.
Espero que sean en español por favor
A series when men were men!
C'mon - that's Star Trek.
It's too bad there never was a Star Trek TOS/Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea crossover episode.
That crappy island set gets used a lot.
Season 4 Voyage to the bottom of the Barrel
😀 🌊🐟🐙..👏
Man are these episodes bad,,,it’s so silly that it’s actually watchable.
2:42 Oh for goodness sake end of video!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🌃
Laughably bad. I remember watching it as a 10yr old and thinking that.
😁
Holly shit this is bad
Based on the thumbnail I think I’ll pass on this one.
If it's so bad , why are you watching it? Surely there's somrthing better on TV.😅😅😅😅 42:26
