Avocados do not ripen even after staying on the tree for 18 months as long as they are attached to the tree stalk. I think that is the reason why its so difficult to find ripe avocados. All the ripe ones that we find are ripened during transportation or in stores
Keeping the Avo in the dark, is what works! I just select mine slightly under ripe, take them home put them in a drawer in my kitchen. Following day, or day after, ripe and ready to eat. No fuss, simples! Thanks
I have several avocado trees, this time of year we get a lot of them, but they take ages to ripe. What I found to work is rather simple, and quite fast. 1) Cut avocado in half ( 2 pieces). 2) Wrap each half in several layers of saran wrap, make sure it's water tight. 3) Put both (half) pieces into the microwave, microwave them for 2 minutes standard power. 4) Put the avocado, still wrapped, into a bowl of cold, even ice, water. Let sit, than enjoy! Takes less than 5 mins.
Wrap them in a plastic/paper bag, put that bag in a bowl, and put that bowl in a place that gets no sunlight, like a cupboard. Two nights, and mine went from green and hard to ripe and ready. Also, when you’re pressing an avocado to see whether it’s soft, press near the top so you’re not squishing the nice part

Everything (besides cooking them) takes way longer. On a hunch I left the avocados in the plastic bag you put them in for purchase at the store and set it outside in the sun. Twisted bag closed. Someone has mentioned putting an avocado in a plastic bag, so maybe I'll give that a try next. Thanks for your comment :)

Thank you
Question, what did you do with flour afterwards?
the one with the foil and putting it in the oven is really shocking to me that it actually worked!
gizmokitty100 it didn’t really but based on comments we cooked the avocado for too long.
HEY! That banana looked PERFECT! People are too demanding, every produce has to be picture perfect. That's why there's so much food waste.
We ripen our avocado by placing them inside our rice containers (submerged in rice). The natural heat from the rice will ripen ur avocado in 2 days
What do u do if u want to use only half of the avacado? How do u store it?
@@kirannathani9079 I wrap the half in plastic wrap, making sure there's no air in there, put in refrigerator. Good for the next day. Don't leave in too long, will get dark.
At 3:00 on the right you can see a smiley face on the avocado 😂
