Bee Gees donated royalties of "Too much heaven" for UNICEF in January 9, 1979
It was in a special concert at United Nations in US
with ten artist who also donated royalties of a song:
british: Bee Gees, Andy Gibb, Rod Stewart, Olivia Newton John
north americans: Rira Coolidge, John Denver, Kris Kristoffersin, Donna Summer, Earth Wind & Fire
and only one no English speaker:
    the swedish quartet ABBA
That night ABBA premiered their song "Chiquitita"
    which was an extraordinary success,
especially in Latin American countries like mine, Argentina, in South America.
ABBA is a quartet basically made up of two musicians, composers and backup singers, and two female lead singers, who in the beginning were also couples.
ABBA has around 20 world hits between 1974/1982,
their first hit was "Waterloo" exactly 50 years ago
    and their biggest hit is "Dancing Queen";
and after almost 40 years they recorded again and released a new album "Voyage" in 2021
Just as the Bee Gees are masters of vocal harmonies,
so is ABBA, privileging its female voices
That's why it's my suggestion that you react to "Chiquitita"
contemporary song from "Too much heaven"
I hope to see you soon with ABBA
    My best regards from
    Buenos Aires Argentina 🇦🇷
    South América

Many people think Robin had the best voice. There are so many great Bee Gees songs, it is hard to choose. Instead of a top 5, I have a top 30 favorite BeeGees songs. Love You Inside Out ties with Too Much Heaven for my #1 favorite. But also.... Morning of My Life, Alone, Run to Me, Rings Around the Moon, I Cant See Nobody, & And the Sun Will Shine... and so many more!❤ I enjoyed your reaction! P.S. by the late 90s it was 10 million donated to UNICEF!❤

A lot of comments are saying Robin had the best voice? Well everyone has their opinions. Mine is that Barry had the best voice but their specialty was the 3 of them harmonizing together! However, I’ve always been a “Barry’s girl”🤣. I just love him to death!❤

There is a great video of the making of Tragedy. Explains a lot about their process in creating a song.

Robin had the best voice by far. Just going down the BeeGees rabbit hole you'll find out the ethereal voice of Robin Gibb

Great great reaction and comments to this song! “Love You Inside Out” (plus many more) are good to check out. Also their version of “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow”, which they recoded for a tribute album for songwriter Carole King, is now one of my favorite songs (for me, up there with “Too Much Heaven”).

The number 1 hit Too Much Heaven and Tragedy was written in one afternoon by Barry together with Maurice and Robin. His congenial producer team Arif Mardin and Karl Richardson went crazy at the mixing desk for this live recording. Arif later wrote Barry nailed every note exactly where it should go in one take. It totally blews him out of the park.
45 years later, Sir Barry received his well-deserved award for Contribution to American Music from the US President, the Kennedy Honours at the end of December 2023. ua-cam.com/video/T3m1aUNTkII/v-deo.html ❤

@@TCBReacts thats true indeed almost as part of the Bee Gees. The trio racked up nine Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 singles - more than any other group in history save for the Beatles (with 20) and the Supremes (12) when you add Andys Number One Hits to this list the are second together with the Supremes only Lennon/McCartney had more.

The name Bee Gees comes from the initial letters B and G from B ill G Goode, B ill G ates, B arbra G ibb, B arry G ibb and b rothers G ibb. Radio-presenter jockey Bill Gates named the group the "BGs" (later changed to "Bee Gees") after his, Goode's and Barrys and Barbras Gibb's initials. The name was not specifically a reference to "Brothers Gibb", despite popular belief.

As person who has sung in a choir I can say that I don't hear 27 vocal layers here, but think I hear it in Fanny Be Tender.

You might not know that none of them could read music. They would record the the music and then write most of the song. Barry and Andy had identical birthmarks in the same place.
