How I make money online as a single, homeschool mother

  • In this video I talk about the subtle things people don't tell you about increasing your income. Like the stuff you actually need to hear. People ask WHAT to do to make money, but to me, the 'what' is the easy part. You could literally do anything. The specific HOW is much more nuanced! *Apologies for some redundancies in the video, since I promised to get out a video in 2 days, I was rushing when I edited it. I hope it still overall was a good video. I also wanted to give you this snapshot, even though 2023 isn't over, so you can understand where I am in the home buying process as a self employed person with variable income. I'm still working on that. Good luck in your journey. I would recommend checking out the Small Business Administration's website, because they tell you what exactly to do to build a business. Start with the "Business Guide" and really go through the "10 Steps to Start Your Business" then the "Plan Your Business".

Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. Financial management is a crucial topic that most tend to shy away from, and ends up haunting them in the near future. Making money is not the same as keeping it there is a reason why investments aren't well taught in schools, the examples you gave are well stationed, the market crisis gave me my first millions, people shy away from hard times, I embrace them.. well at least my advisor does lol.

Investors should be cautious about their exposure and be wary of new buys, especially during inflation. Such high yields in this recession is only possible under the supervision of a professional or trusted advisor.

Not at all, having monitor edge my portfolio performance which has made a jaw dropping $473k from just the past two quarters alone, I have learned why experienced traders make enormous returns from the seemingly unknown market. I must say it's the boldest decision I've taken since recently.

I loved your point that you started doing marketing when you _didn't want to do marketing,_ and it wasn't at all what you were passionate about, but that it was a _character_ thing to do it anyway, because it would benefit you and your kids. That's such an important point. This is about our KIDS, and about financial freedom -- if you're not willing to do _whatever_ it takes (within legality) to make that happen, you won't get far.

@@shaquitamuse25 I previously worked in insurance (other lines, like home/auto) & started working for a life insurance broker at home. It was just natural when life started drying up to move to Medicare & use my health license. You need to contract with an FMO (field marketing organization), because carriers won’t appoint you when you’re small, and the FMO helps you get started & help you set up certain things. You need to be licensed, I recommend health & life license. Then find an FMO. Get insurance & an LLC (I used Northwest for $130 state fees were $100 of that), set up a website (GoDaddy has 1st year $35) & then get leads to write. Leads can be free if you do educational events or community events. (Leads are people interested in buying insurance). If you don’t have a physical location, you can do it over phone or meet them at a coffee shop if local. 😊

I am homeschooling my two children and it was the best decision I could have ever made. My kids are thriving, they are happy and are not socially awkward (despite many misconceptions in regards to homeschool)
I work from home many days, but I also have a couple ither gig based jobs that require me to work on location, but I am 100% in control of my schedule, my time, my income and that is all I can really ask for being a single mother

    • @LisaSoulLevelHealing
      @LisaSoulLevelHealing 8 місяців тому +1

I attribute the social awkwardness to them just simply more mature and seasoned and a bit "above" more children kept more immature.

My children are adults now but I wonder if there is a home school community. There should be one where parents who home school can maybe once a week meet up for a field trip (learn/social) so the children get a chance to have the best of both worlds. Then maybe do a monthly whole day event. If that doesn't exist maybe someone can pioneer it.

PREACH!! So much logic and truth. I see so many people comment on successful folks saying they only have what they have solely because it was handed to them or because of privileges. It’s really sad to see because privilege is real, but it’s not an excuse to be self-defeating. Too many people convince themselves that they can’t improve their lives. Your story is such a light and I hope it inspires people to take some responsibility and go for their dreams. You are really inspiring.

Love the discussion. You are so inspiring and I'm hoping that millions of young families watch this vlog. I'm retired. From early in the game I held good paying jobs and for most of my working life I had what would be considered "well" paying jobs. Nonetheless I found it necessary to do get a second source of income in my early years in order to acquire a home very early. I toiled away at manufacturing uniforms, drapery and linen and that provided financial advantage to buy a nice townhouse in an upscale area. That was the start because I was able to flip that property, and kept flipping until I was able to provide the best education and lifestyle for my daughter. And "best" didn't mean overly lavish or excessive. My point is that I really couldn't rely on a single job to get ahead. By the time I was 36, I was back to a single job, but at that point it was a high paying, high demanding executive job and I couldn't have handled side jobs. The additional income in my early years did pay off well.

My version of financial peace is my parents now live with me and are able to cover the major bills for me while I figure out my next steps. I'm going to start selling handmade dumplings. I plan on creating a free ebook with dumpling recipes to get leads online and build our presence while still building a customer base in person.

Your next step to consider is once this wealth is created, is how do you keep it. . .
    1. Sustainable.
    2. Protected.
    3. Available for the next generation. I've done that too. If you need more information, let me know.

People don't think about protecting assets for future generations. We lose a lot because we don't plan deeply enough, and every generation we basically start from scratch. We must think better about this topic.

@@Vee-yc5ht About what. I talked about a lot. 🙂 What we did to get our sons through school without debt, how we helped them build A-1 credit while in school, or estate planning and asset protection?

Congrats on living life on your terms! Fellow Howard County MD resident too, love this area but housing on the expensive side like you mentioned which I'm happy to pay-- safety + good schools are paramount for me. I'm curious to know where you found a 2br for $1300 😉

I’m a homeschool mom who was in the arts industry for many years until the pandemic & then I was shifted into other roles. I am in the same type of realm, with being good at the backend of the arts industry now. I have been looking into the management process as well. Can you do a video on affiliated marketing, as I am still trying to grasp this realm. Thank you. I super appreciate your story & journey! I just would rather work a lot from home, in order to raise & educate my own crew. While helping people in the industry too.

Same! All these things feel so abstract and intangible to me. No one explains it without trying to get you to buy their course.

    1) thank you for your transparency! You’re doing exactly what I’m striving to do so will be subscribing (I’m a single momtrepreneur planning to homeschool) (literally just found you, the first video I saw was the house tour and this is the 2nd video. So I’m super newbie). 2) thank you for letting me set realistic goals for Amazon affiliate 😂🤣 3) thank you for showing where I really do need to focus energy on. 4) ok, let me finish watching 🤣🤣I’m only like 30 sec in hahaha

You’re welcome! All of my Amazon affiliate money comes from one video that I made which has over a million hits over 4 years. I really should paste that link in every video I make, it could probably double my revenue there. Again, that’s something I’ll be working on this upcoming year!
In comparison to the money I made as an affiliate on Amazon, Amazon made $80,000 by my recommendations! Looking at that really tells me I need to be selling these educational products!
