A staffing agency I worked at made me so sad for humanity. There was anew mother who came in looking for work with her daughter, and the recruiter told me, " I'm not giving her the job she's going to be calling off so much. " never gave her a chance. A new mother, someone who probably really needed work more than others. :/

@@katemiller7874 because I think a lot of women lose their sense of self when they have a child. I’m going through it right now. I’m currently a stay at home. Mom and I absolutely love my job but when my daughter is around three I am going to lose a lot of the time I get with her. When she’s five I’m going to lose most of the time I get with her. for me, I am the type of person that needs to have a purpose to be happy. When my daughter is asleep, I can’t just sit there and watch TV. I work on 3-D builds, I paint, I have a very active brain. I know for a fact when my daughter goes to school I need to have some form of a job. I also know for a fact that I’m still going to be a full-time mom. A lot of these jobs that I would thrive in, do not want someone like me because of the time obligations I have. What is wrong is that in society? It’s OK for a guy to have a child. If anything, my husbands, job has been incredibly forgiving, and giving, he got 12 weeks of FMLA that he basically used all the way up until my daughters first birthday. When I got pregnant, I was looking into school for video game design. After I had my daughter, I realized that my skill set, would do better in some thing like architecture or interior designing. Just because someone has a child doesn’t mean they should give up their entire identity. This is what is wrong with society. We tell women, the only purpose they have is having children. This is why so many women resent their own families. I am very comfortable with the fact that I am a person outside of my family. And I’m also very comfortable with the fact that I love my family very deeply. My daughter is literally the light of my life. She is the reason I wake up every single day with happiness. But that doesn’t mean that I don’t get to work on myself. Men should be taking on more of a role with caretaking. It shouldn’t be something that is viewed as weak or that he is wiped. The fact that it is shows how corrupted our society is and how much we still need to learn about equality and human rights.

If a customer tells the company you have someone with you they will warn you or ban you. It's not allowed having anyone with you it's in the contract no one read but signed it before being able to start working.

Angela, this is the most informative video I have seen for stay at home work. As a single mom of three teens who homeschools two still and has one active junior, I have learned over the years to trust in the Lord for funds I didn’t have and He surely has provided. I have my own business and am a full time student myself but need more income for my family in this season and have been looking recently adding my application to out school. Love all these ideas!! When I first stopped teaching to be home with my oldest, I opened a home day care. Now, that I am homeschooling 3, I am looking for other options. I've been so curious about teaching online, but our internet is so spotty, I haven't ventured into that yet, but I have offered Reading Academy classes out of my home 2 days a week took over a homeschool field trip group where I plan all the trips, but also plan holiday and national day themed parties and events where I make an extra income and don't have to care for other kids anymore other than 1 extra. It's been a huge blessing for my homeschooling. I get paid to do what I love. I also occasionally write up projects and research reports for a local non profit and get paid a little for that and can work my own hours. If a mom really wants to make money, there's so many ways out there! Thanks again for sharing all these ideas!

I have my masters in social work and feel guilty at time that I’m not working. My husband has no guilt - he WANTS me home with our babies. I’ve decided to stop babysitting because I’ve lost the joy in it and want to give my kiddos all my attention.

I took time off earlier this year from working as a home health nurse, but I still wanted to work from home..I found a job at a major health insurance company, with one of their nursing lines, answering calls from their insured. If any sahm's who were nurses, could try that route.😁

Thank you for this video. I'm homeschooling, just moved into our home bringing home our newborn and shortly after recovering from a csection my husband passed away suddenly in front of us with no will and no life insurance. I have to find something that works for our current situation. It's difficult to get a job when you have kids, a newborn and no longer have a husband these days. You're instantly judged and labeled as unreliable with other stigmas.

I have been seriously considering homeschooling our twins lately. The public schools are not that great and there are so many problem. Pre covid i worked in a office and my twins were very small at the time. I had to call off a lot for a variety of reasons (doctors appointments, kids got sick at daycare ect.) But i thought that was the whole point of having PTO. I got penalize heavily for this and it affected the raises that i got. And my bosses were women with children. I thought that they could understand.
I feel a lot of pressure to go back to the work place (thankfully not from my husband) but I'm not sure i want to go back to the traditional workplace. Thank you so much for this video.

Incredible advice! My sis narrates for Audible & makes so much!
My side hustle is investment real estate 🏡.
I sit rent free by living in one of our 2bed apartments in a duplex.
That’s big savings, plus tons of tax cuts & I only maybe spend an hour working on it a month, probably less.

@@alina9310 My sis started at 23 as well :)
I’ll ask & get the initial employment details for you.
I do know that she had to have good recording equipment for narrating. She even bought a small sound proof pop up studio that she has in her apartment. It’s small enough to fit in her tiny bed room in the corner. I’ll get you more details.
      She does incredible voice work,
but she makes the majority of her money on editing & grammar checking other peoples narrating at the moment Bc of her 2 toddlers running around so much.
You don’t have to be in a sound proof room w/ good recording software to do much of the editing & she get $200 per recorded hr edited.
      That’s not $200 an hr, that’s $200 per hr of what’s recorded

I was say as a pretty busy/successful pro photographer; it's hard doing this & homeschooling. I don't have much me time. Breaks. Down time. Etc. If I'm not teaching, I'm editing until about 10:30-11pm. Granted- I do it to myself by not turning down clients. But It's very exhausting if you're an in demand photographer and homeschooling.
