Subsequent censuses also reflect a progressive increase in the share of minorities - 2.96 % in second census (1961), 3.25% in third census (1972), 3.33% in fourth census (1981), and 3.72% in fifth Census (1998).
The 1998 Census data further show that the Hindu population in Pakistan has increased from around 1.5% in 1951 to nearly 2% in 1998😊.#cpd,so just because we have 1.5 percent in Pakistan (west Pakistan) and you have 12pc in india means that you are more religiously tolerant than us,

There is a fantastic book written about 40 years ago by VS naipal called amongst the believers. It encapsulates the issues and identity crisis faced amongst the Islamic colonized lands. 1st. Pakistan shouldn't have been created, It was the Muslim league who lost elections of 1937 and was denied of Power Sharing by Congress. So they massively protested with Islamic activists for separate state.
2nd. Now, Pakistan is created with the name of Islam. Every ethnicity accepted and even sacrificed many things for this Dream Land, Pakistan.
Therefore, Pakistan should become Islamic State, with a strong centre on Islamic policies and independent provinces for their ethnic identity.
Unfortunately, it was high jacked by Pakistani establishment since its inception.
Hence Identity Crisis.

Nothing is reversing in India.India was secular is secular and shall always remain secular.Even during Modi's time, two big states' CMs (TN & AP) are christian and have become CMs on polular votes of the state where 80% people are Hindus. 2 CMs are also Christian but those are smaller states.India is a secular country not only because Indian constitution is secular but also because the hindus are secular by nature & character otherwise it would not have been possible to adopt unanimously a secular constitution.A constitution can never be imposed in any country if 80% or even less of polulation do not subscribe it by choice.Muzammil is very intelligent and knowledgeable but alike other intellectuals of Pakistan he too bears just cursory knowledge about the structure and character of hindu societies. Even being an Indian I am a big admirer of his oratorial skill and knowledge.I would suggest him that he should start studying the present day India.Since he is a voracious reader he would become the most learned and genuine expert on India in Pakistan which is, otherwuse a 'not available' commodity in today's Pakistan as Mr Sakil Chaudhary often quites.
