    Very impressive! Now, a tube magazine that can store up to five shot shells either in pump or lever action!! Maybe version 2.0 is on the drawing board as we speak!!

      @@AirgunAlley Beautiful PCP shotgun. I wouldn't pay $1500 for it however for a single shot gun. I can buy a brand new Remington 870 Wingmaster pump for 500. But your airgun channel is still the most creative!!

    I've been waiting forever for the Umarex Primal 20 to come out. I prepurchased it like 2 or 3 years ago when it was first announced. That air shotgun has a smaller bore, but a much larger tank.
    I remember seeing that thing... it's design and operation are nearly identical to an Evanix Rex.

      Ha! Very true, there’s a lot of the Rex in this gun. Def enough differences to make it its own thing, but wow, pretty striking similitudes!

    So how hard is the "pump" around the trigger? It seemed kinda hard at one scene? So you think the red 7.5 is the most powerful/lethal? I would like to see videos like that again with the paper Target but with a new paper Target for each shell, that way you can truly compare one sheet against another one without getting them confused on overlay or damage.

    • @AirgunAlley
      @AirgunAlley  29 днів тому

      Hey John, yea this one was more of a “showcase” video. An overview more than a full review. That’s why I also often recommended to watch the Airgun Channel video, he did a lot more of that.
      The cocking lever is a bit hard, but nothing crazy. Two things you need to find your mojo with in this gun: one, as you said, is the pump lever and two, the loading. At the beginning I was having issues with putting the cartridges in correctly. I found it to be more a matter of feeling and once figured out, all problems were gone.

    i would like to see you do some chrono readings with shells loaded with less lethal ammo in those shells if they fit , would love to know how many joules they produce !!! . not only hard ammo , rubber , plastic , aluminum and steel , but powder and pepperball rounds also , maybe even some arrows and darts lol !!! so many possibilities !!!
    i think i would love to see them loaded with # 1 to #4 especially buckshot and also , 0, 00 , 000 , and 0000 buckshot as well !!!! the results would be so more impressive over the normal smaller bb's which are now loaded , imagine a shell loaded with .43cal less lethal stuff too !!!
    does the .50 ammo fit in shells ? even if it didnt , they do make glass marbles in assorted sizes !!!! imagine 2 or 3 aluminum balls or others , per shell !!!
    so many things could be done , some cant be talked about in public , look at all the cool stuff i have talked about in the past on airguns and launchers and ammo , just think of the things i never mention , gots lots of billion dollar ideas my friend !!!! lol !!!
    you know from my past comments , the things i have said on here in the past , eventually come to market , just wait and see . !!! lol lmao !!!!

    As usual a terrific video, AGM is in my regular rotation, I'm a big fan of your channel. You bet that's a cool shotgun, it looks lethal to me, and fun to shoot, it is truly bad a$$. That said, the most amazing things about this gun are; $1500 for the gun is crazy, $675 for THEIR compressor is more insane, and $1 to $2 per shot, wow, and as much as you tried to disguise the cocking effort, it doesn't look refined. If anyone close to me purchased this set up I would push to put their finances in a conservatorship. There's better ways to blow up watermelons for less than $2k and $1 to $2 + per round. Umarex T4E HDX 68 Defense Shotgun with Power Kit (30-40 Joules) for $350 would probably do the trick. And you like me need to drive 50 plus miles to shoot it, I'm guessing its not backyard friendly. If this power trip companies and the public are on doesn't start showing some self control, we're headed to regulation just like Canada and the UK, and that would suck. Sorry for the rant, but I'm worried for my hobby

      @AirgunAlley I would say plywood because of the composition and glue would be harder than a plank of wood

      Got it thanks! I usually shoot plywood (I know because it says so when I buy it). This time I used this piece of wood I found laying around, which was the perfect shape and size, but not plywood hehe

    • @AirgunAlley
      @AirgunAlley  29 днів тому +1

      Unless it had some mysterious internal crack perfectly hidden down the middle, the wood was very much solid and intact all around. I aldo have serious doubts on the knots having anything to do with it, just look at where it broke off. Has northing to do with the attachment

    Just for reference, target dummies are all named Joe Brandon in the guntube community.
    Looks like it has enough umph to at least take down a rodent or small bird - no question it would ruin your day if someone hit you at close range.
    I was standing outside minding my own business and suddenly I was surrounded by black clouds - welcome to Florida.
    Just for the record, you are permitted to come back the next day to finish a video.
    Would have liked to have seen some spread and penetration tests at longer ranges - just a big sheet of cardboard with a ballistic gnome in the center with you firing at ranges starting at 10 yards and moving back in increments of 10 - make sure to use a fresh cardboard each time.
    I have to wonder what the intended purpose of this thing is though as while I have no doubt it will work for rodent control, I'm thinking it's going to make a horrific mess of its target, thus also creating a problem if you're hunting the sort of small birds the shot is designed for.
    It could probably work for less than lethal self-defense as short of a lucky (or unlucky if you're going for less lethal) hit, it likely won't kill, although looking at what it did to the dummy's face, you might wish you were dead if you take a hit like that.
    Wouldn't mind seeing some hits on soda cans - both full and empty - if you fire it at your steel trays, make sure to turn them at a slight angle so as to avoid potential bounce back at you.
    All said, pretty impressive, although for $1500 it had better be.

      Hey man thanks so much, really great and well thought input here. I appreciate that.
      Just on the why I didn’t go back the next day to finish the video: sadly with a full time job that requires traveling more than not, a small family to raise and the Florida weather to work around… well my friend, I’m juggling my time like a clown with 7 balls up in the air. And making my UA-cam videos, takes me around 30 hours of straight work.
      Main goal: make youtube my job and the production will skyrocket ;)

      @seanfoltz7645 25 днів тому

      @@AirgunAlley Fair enough, but just remember, a job is something you HAVE to do to make money while a career is something you LIKE to do to make money, so here's hoping you can make a career of this instead.
      But yeah, I feel you on Florida being Florida as I'm up here in Orlando and have lost track of how many times Florida's ADD weather patterns have disrupted my plans. >_<
      Thirty hours to do a video? Hmm, that doesn't sound right, although having zero experience in video editing, I may be 100% off in what follows, so if I am, feel free to ignore it.
      Having driven to the Keys annually for several years now, I can definitely see up to two hours travel time for you to get from Maimi to gator alley, so there's four hours travel, it looks like you keep things simple, so maybe an hour set up and take down out in the field and seeing how frequently the guns have to be refilled, combined with the usual issues of multiple takes, bloopers, etc, I'm guessing another 4-8 hours of shooting...weather providing of course.
      So assuming I'm even remotely close in my estimates, that means that half to two thirds of your time is spent in editing - you need to rewatch your footage and make note of time stamps of parts you want to use, put it all together and then double and triple check everything is right, realize something was missed and review everything all over again to find it, rinse and repeat - am I more or less on track here?
      Thinking this over and assuming I'm mostly guessing correctly, I might have a good suggestion and that's to take a cue from Hollywood and include markers for yourself when you're shooting AND to take notes for yourself so as to speed your way through the process - like 1:15-2:42 is when you were shooting the metal plates, so write that on a note pad as you're going so you can find the footage faster during editing.
      I don't know if it's feasible, but perhaps rather than doing one long recording, break it up so all of your intro takes are on one download or SD card or however your camera saves data, then the steel plate test is another unique recording, the wood penetration a third, ballistic gnome a fourth, etc.
      I do a lot of presentations for clients for work and I can tell you that if you aren't creating a written outline, you're doing yourself a disservice as you can get engrossed in something that causes you to forget something else, so by laying out in writing what you intend to do ahead of time, that will speed up shooting time and keep your footage in the order you want it in at least.
      Ditto a bullet point script - you can improvise HOW you say it, but having a couple of key bullet points laid out to remind you WHAT you want to say does wonders for me when doing video presentations, along with having a few notes for facts and figures you might not remember - get a whiteboard and an easel to sit it on behind the camera with your bullet points and facts - also, focus the camera on it for, say, 10 seconds, before you do the segment to make it easier to find during editing.
      Finally, as stupid and obvious as this might sound, check around for some UA-cam videos with hints, tricks and tips on how to edit and if you're friends with any other UA-camrs, ask them too.
      Here's hoping I was able to help a little bit, if only to spare you an hour or two - good luck!
