Thanks for the detailed information Robot! I think this keyless system is so cool in the City using. I don't have to constantly search for the key, I just go there and go with it. Amazing… By the way this is the most beautiful and most powerful scooter in this category. It is traditional and yet youthful as well as sporty. (“Sorry I don’t like the couch-scooters”)
Hey Robot, I think the lockout with the key fob is for instance... If you were camping and had your scoot close to the tent, a dude could creep up in middle of night and fire it up!
Thank you so much. Ive been taking train to work for 2 days thinking the fob had dead battery. Im still getting a red light on fob after holding top and middle button? Thanks
What transponder chip do the Vespa scooters use? It was so much easier when vehicles had a simple mechanical key system. Wish you guys had an in depth review of the Liberty 50 with riding footage.
Hi! I lost the original FOB that my scooter brought and just ordered a new one (I've been using the scooter with the regular key). Now that I have the new one with me, how do I connect it to my scooter?
I like that I have to push and turn to unlock and start my BV400, for the same reason Robot doesn't like it. Unless someone owns or has read the manual, its not obvious as to how to start it. That is a deterrent to anyone who might find my fob if it falls off my keyring, or someone i know who has access to my fob, from borrowing my scooter who i am not around.
I've got a negative experience with my keyless controller, unfortunately for some reason, it wants my seat open. All the time sends signal to the scooter to pop the seat, so many times I find my seat opened... I dismantled the controller, changed battery and cleaned it. The metal cover of the battery went off so the circuit was off, I had to weld it carefully to make it work again. But the false signal to pop the seat continues. Very low quality by Piaggio...
I'm a locksmith and as a scooter owner I really HATE these keyless solutions because they are no more than marketing scams! Luckily my loved Beverly 350 still has a traditional ignition key, until I'll have to change it and deal with those keyless scams!
"they are no more than marketing scams!" The ability to just walk up to the scooter and open the seat and start it without pulling keys in and out of pockets or ignition slots is a big win for me. You stick to the 350 and I'll keep my 400 and we're both happy.
@@gooble69 I'm talking about security and costs you will have to deal with when you'll need to re-code the keyless system. You can tap your finger in there where the sun doesn't shine and you're the only happy one.

"You what's even easier PUT THE KEY IN THE HOLE" Regular key: take key out of pocket, orient key to correct direction matching the slot, insert key, turn key Keyless FOB: turn knob The FOB requires 3 less steps starting the bike and 2 less steps stopping the bike meaning 5 less steps every time you use your bike. How is 5 extra steps 'easier'?
Would you rather a thief to walk away when they seen something that complicated?.. or would you rather a traditional key lock so they can just walk up with a drill and a screwdriver

Great video.. thanks for the detailed and well explained info! cheers from Greece!

Thanks for beneficial information about BV 400
Good run thru, thanks for sharing all the knowledge!

Çok faydalı bilgiler verdiğiniz için teşekkür ederim Türkiyede bu motorun özelliklerini piaggionun kendi servisi bile bilmiyor thank you
Thanks for all ✌🏾
Thanks for the video, here's a question. What if you lost your master key but still have your key fob. Any process/workaround for that?
Thank you so much. Ive been taking train to work for 2 days thinking the fob had dead battery. Im still getting a red light on fob after holding top and middle button? Thanks
Great Video! One question, can a GTS 2021 be upgraded with a Keyless system?
Hey Robot - love your videos. Our local dealer is useless. Can you guys clone keys for or get new FOB's for out of state customers? I am in Seattle

Thanks for the informative videos Robot.
After owning a Fiat, I'm skeptical that anything Italian can be that sophisticated and work reliably.
Great video thank you
How can you learn a new fob in case you lost your original fob? Is it possible without dealer help? Thank you
Very useful, thanks!

Hello,
I just got the 400 S, can you please help me understand how to change from km to miles on the dashboard? thank you.
Ride it to the 21st century and learn what modern measurements are 🤣
Owners Manual !!!
Great info thanks :)
Hi, How do I change my 2023 BV 400 to use the key as the ignition as the FOB is so unreliable.
Thanks in advance

do you know how to add a new FOB to the Piaggo Scooter?
For my new BV400 i have to hold the fob close to the left hand side panel. It won't work any other way...
you must activate the remote controll. user manual teach you how.
Bravo

Just bought a bv, wish it had a key.

Keyless FOB: turn knob

These love traditional key and lock super easy. just use a cordless drill with the screwdriver off they go
I have a new BV400 the keyless stuff is maddening. User hostile.
Hopefully I'll make some thieves look at and walk away
The fob sucks, I have owned the BV 400 for 3 months now. Bad choice from Piaggio!

Amsterdam? How dare you?
If you smoke there too much, all the scooters than can be orange BVs 😉
