These are areas off the top of my head that I remember. I still have my once in a lifetime hunt I have yet to draw. I was a Border Patrol Agent for 30 years so I routinely patrolled the aforementioned areas. I had an advantage due to my daily duties, I pretty well knew where oryx would be in most areas.
You are absolutely right, they are great table fare! I’ve been on a half dozen hunts for these and they can be tough to kill. What cartridge did you use?

I moved here in 2017 and I certainly don't miss the snow nor humidity. Great place for amateur astronomy too.

i hike a lot; it is pretty rare to see one. this one horned one does seem to hanging out in solidad canyon--near the old house
Ted Nugent was out there last year and shot one with bow and arrow....Good eatin!

I lived in Alamogordo for 20 years and have harvested over a dozen of them. Not bad eating.

I live on east mesa right in front of the mountain I seen track all the time but never seen one
it is pretty rare. I hike all the time and only see them every few months.
