That scene was horrible but in my opinion they we’re both in the wrong. When Finn outed Santana she was bullying him and saying harsh things to him, still doesn’t give him the right to out her. No one deserves that but I thought I would share my opinion:) feel free to let me know your thoughts
@@ixtazi5942 i see what you’re saying, and i agree they are both in the wrong, but i think there is such a huge difference between bullying someone the way santana was and outing someone. santana basically just insulted him, which isn’t nice, but really isn’t the end of the world. he severely impacted her life and given how homophobic her family is, he put her in a situation where she could have literally been kicked out of her house. it’s not a proportional response to a couple of insults. and also almost nobody was mad at finn, they were just mad at santana, which is totally messed up. these r just my thoughts tho, i get where u r coming from

(also Nayas character doesn’t really come into the spotlight until the second half of S1 and then she becomes a big character for the rest of the show)

Naya Rivera's character doesn't become a main character until season 2 I literally only watch glee for her shes mainly in season 2, 3, and 4 but personally I think 2 and 3 are the best

mr shoe gives such creep vibes that they never address the whole show. hugging his students and going to their house after they graduate, it all rubs me the wrong way.

mr schue its kind of annoying sometimes in the show but i still like him tho, where i live is pretty common for teachers to hug their students so i didnt bother much with that.
@@clovis8944 Yeah this isn't really what bothered me. At my high school, if we had a teacher who deeply impacted us, it was normal to hug them. Teachers would take on a parental role in a lot of kids lives, especially those from underprivileged and/or broken households. Personally, my mom ran a special study hall back when I was in high school for kids who were failing their classes and needed a little bit of extra help, and she was solely responsible for a lot of kids graduating, and a lot of them loved her like a mom. Now my mom is very very strict with herself about professionalism so she never hugged her students, but we've had ex-students come to live with us to get out of bad situations, she'd hire students in need of money to do yardwork, etc. and one of her former students even named her newborn son after my brother, as an ode to my mom.
Basically this was a long winded way of saying this type of student-teacher relationship can totally happen, especially with kids like the ones in the Glee club, and it's not necessarily creepy, it probably just feels extra creepy cuz he's a man. HOWEVER, Mr. Schue do be getting a little too sexual with his students. Like when he... casted himself... into Rocky Horror Picture show... to be Rachel's lover.... What.... the fuck was that
Also I will never forget the time he said "You're all minorities. You're in the glee club" after his students of color complained about feeling silenced and invalidated. That sent me
@@clovis8944 it’s so much more than just hugs though. you can find compilations on youtube of him just being a total creep. he has such a weird relationship with his students (he literally asked a teenager to be his best man wtf mr shoe), he makes so many sexual comments/gestures towards them, not to mention putting his own wants over the needs of his students (a certain twerking incident comes to mind)

I mean, he did blackmail a student in order to get him to join the glee club in the first episode, that should have been enough to know his character 😂
Sue can be a little extra with the insults sometimes but her and santana telling certain people (rachel) the truth literally was the only thing that kept me watching the show tbh 😭

Glee was a cultural reset but also a terrible show. But there will never be a show like it. The show is hilarious and always entertaining at least, because of the comedy, drama, and musical numbers most of all

I just accepted the fact that this show is supposed to be campy and over the top. The annoying characters are extremely annoying on purpose. The problem is that it has tonal issues. It wants to be ridiculous at times and then also at a drop of the hat be serious and somber. Its a very jarring show but it also has its moments. For me as a person that was into the glee craze back in the day its still is a whirlwind of an experience watching it as it was back then.
i haven't realy rewatched whole show for ages, but i still do love coming back to first 3 seasons moments. big problem for me is the lack of redemption in characters. they al cheat, are abusive and even though it can be funny or emotional, i would love to see them own up to their mistakes. honestly, the best arc has to go to puck, cause he was the only one who actually grew through the show
I get annoyed with campy 😩 but knowing it going in helps lol so thank you.

as a gleek I need more glee episodes if you ever consider making more! this show is by far my favourite show of all time and is the only one I can binge watch time and time again. the vocals are gorgeous and its so nostalgic to me because I grew up with it. not only that but it really helped me come to terms with my sexuality. growing up in the 00s there was very few representation I saw of women of the LGBTQ+ community, while Brittney is the only open bisexual character and we never get any true story behind her sexuality, there is definitely some biphobic remarks in the show, glee really helped me see how normal it is for someone to be attracted to the same sex which helped me realise that its normal to not be straight. Santana is by far my favourite character, she has the most iconic lines and her coming out story was just so sad to see. this show really did a lot for me and I miss Naya Rivera very much. I hope she is resting well with Cory.

I love the "glee" episode where the Mr Shue like character is obsessed with going to regionals and killed the glee club because they couldn't/wouldn't make it 😂
Yea, I also have a love and hate relationship with Glee. Love a lot of the covers and performances. But, they handle race, gender and sexuality issues poorly, and each character is a stereotype. Also, Mr. Schue is such a problematic character. One example is how he suspended a student because she refuses to wear a provocative outfit for an assignment. Associating her refusal with her "personal agenda." Don't get me started on his racism and favouritism. Also, biphobia (from Kurt, Santana and Dani) wasn't addressed either.

I love glee and I love to hate glee but I maintain that this is a legitimately good, funny show. At least for the first few seasons. I can admit a lot of my faves (Vampire Diaries, Gossip Girl, Teen Wolf) are... trashy... and tacky... and for a particular audience, but glee is just a solid comedy that I think anyone into funny shows could enjoy

I'll die on the hill that when pitching the show, it never would've made it through if it wasn't for that phenomenal and iconic Don't Stop Believing performance. It elevated the entire show and really grounded the narratives message

I did the same thing, avoided tf out of it for the longest cuz of the hype. I ended up watching when I had a fever once and kept it up.
One thing (there’s more than one tho) that just really bothered me about Glee was the biphobia. It was just this undercurrent with a lot of the LGBTQ+ characters and it’s just really aggravating.

Low key me too because I could see what she was going through and no one ever talked to her and actually saw what was going on. Everyone just assumed she was mean but no one ever got down to the bottom of it. She obviously felt uncomfortable and wanted to feel liked but people kept telling her no to the point where she wasn’t able to get better. It made me so sad for her because no matter what she said or did people judged her. Never ever gave her a chance

What I'm really passionate about: pole fitness/pole dancing as an artform, self expression, and steps towards activity and health. I just love it. I try to keep it in my life despite lockdown, but due to a leg injury it's hard. I can still appreciate my fellow polers on instagram. I have an at home pole and I try to do conditioning or practice each week despite lockdowns and injury.
Glee: not a fan, never been a fan, saw a few episodes while roommates watch and I didn't fully hate it. Rachel drives me nuts tho 😂

I think it’s beautiful that you push through even with an injury. So many people give up on their passions when obstacles come. And then adding the pandemic on top of that- I for one completely stopped doing the LITTLE exercise I was doing and still haven’t bounced back 😩.
So I definitely commend you for that. Keep going. I hope your injury improves and you’re able to do pole fitness without restriction.

Did you finish it? Im like you, I only started watching it for the first time last year and fell off and on when i could deal with the probelmatic stuff anymore. However, it is great trashy tv watch ince you get to like season 3 season 2 ish. Also Santana, Mercedes, Brittany, and Quin were probably my favorite characters throughout the show.
I haven’t finished yet. I keep seeing people say it gets better so I’m definitely going to continue watching and making videos for it. I do look forward to seeing how these characters come to life.

You REALLY cannot judge glee after one episode. Its like reading the first book of HP and judging the series! Glee is the best in season 2 in my opinion but from season 4 on the plot holes are just so big T-T
