Prime torres before his 2 knee operations was so deadly. He carried Liverpool attack on his own.its a shame when a injury ruins a player.same thing happened to kaka at real madrid aswell.
@@roycejr5749 Liverpool played defensively under Rafa Gerrard would have been pretty much what kdb at man City is now if Gerrard and Torres got half of the Liverpool's team now
Even as an Arsenal fan, Torres will always be one of my favourite players. Set the premier league on fire as soon as he arrived and has had great success for his country. Underrated legend!
Broke my heart when he left for Chelsea and I think it broke a bit of him to as his decline was unreal. Had he stayed for a further six months I think the combination of him and Suarez up front, with Luis just off him, doing more of the running. Then allowing Gerrard to slot back into centre midfield could have been really interesting to watch.
@@masters.1000 No that was Andy Carroll. The Suarez deal was already in the pipeline for FSG and was agreed before any Torres bid had been accepted. It was only when Chelsea went to 50mill that FSG agreed the sale and then panicked and thought 35mill on Carroll was a good idea also.
Was never really into football and Torres changed that. His explosive pace and skills made him so fun to watch for me. He will always be my favourite player.
As an Atletico fan, I remember when my friends first introduced me to football when I was 14. I watched compilation videos of football skills and goals and one of those videos were of Torres and Griezmann, thats the videos that made me fall in love with Torres and ultimately Atletico. this video was a masterpiece, I love football because of Fernando Torres and he will always be my hero. My most favourite time of him was when he returned to Atletico after being on Loan from Milan. he was not at his best at that time, but that was the most recent time I watched him play.
As a Scouser growing up football wasn't my thing despite my Dad and his family being massive liverpool supporters, but ever since I saw Torres kick a ball all that would change. Thank You Torres, you were a hope and inspiration to me growing up and you even got me into the beautiful game, YNWA 🔴💪🏼
As a Red he broke my heart, but I always had a soft spot for him and I'm so glad his career came good again at Atleti. He seemed a gentle man, and he deserves the adulation he got there.
Despite being a Man United fan, at his peak he was my favourite Liverpool player. Its sad injuries messed him up, I also sense like it seemed he lacked that confidence and instinct when he went to Chelsea. But he will always be among the top strikers of his generation.
@Leo KB I mean when do people usually start supporting a team? Childhood? If his first time watching chelsea was torres going around Valdese to send chelsea to a European final I think I'd become a fan too
It's always injuries that ruins these players. Despite the 2 busted knees, he still won everything in football and had a legendary career even though he deemed destined for even more somehow. Those Liverpool seasons were just magical when I was a young fella.
One of the best strikers of the premier league. LFC before Torres always had a striker problem. Crouch and Kuyt weren't bad but they didn't score enough. El Nino changed that and made the clubs fear Liverpool again. It's a shame some people forget how important he was for Liverpool because they didn't win any trophies. If only Liverpool had a little bit more resources at that time who knows what could have happened.
Loved him when he was at Liverpool he was the last player I felt broken hearted about when he left us for Chelsea in 2011 but I knew we had gotten the very best out of him.
Bellingham and haalland? Torres hair is better than both combined. He's at the level of Ronaldo and Messi only his knee injury prevented him from surpassing them.
Great content! Thanks! would love to see videos about the premiership and European leagues between 1995-2010 and a Tomas Rosicky rise and fall. Just suggestions :)
It's amazing how throughout the 50 decades, Liverpool have never failed to have a world class forward. From Ian Rush, to Barnes, to Fowler, peak Micheal Owen, Torress, Suares, now Mo Salah. Crazy.
Great vid - quick correction though: 02:53 he is described as a Madridista. He is Madrileño but most certainly not a Madridista which is used to describe fans of RMCF. cheers x
I’m pretty sure we would’ve beaten to the title again like the year before, but there is NO doubt in my mind you would’ve displaced those posers Arsenal - absolute bottlers. LFC are the only team in the PL I respect and, depending on the game (Anfield), get nervous about.
TRUST ME.. or not even me, but the millions of fans out there who NEVER will forget Liverpool's number 9! There was something abt Torres ppl liked. Like us who liked Torres REALLY LIKED HIM. Still even. He is the only football player I chose to talk abt in front of the whole class when we had a presentation. He for me is still my top three coolest players. So slick. but more than his skill, he is a really good person. No prima donna shit, been with his GF, who he later married, since he was 12. Captain of Atletico at 19yo!! He was a person everyone liked. That Torres would be the person to forever become a legend in Spain was kinda written, right? OFC it HAD to be Torres, to give them TWO EURO trophies, and... just to show how good he was.. he was playing for a footbal team that on CLUB or intentional lvl are among the three best teams to ever play football. Together with 90s/00s Brazil, with Rivaldo, Ronaldo, Carlos etc.. WOW.. kids today MISSED OUT! That Spain team is right up there though. SO GOOD! With as iconic players. And Torres...although he doesn't get the credit, at that time, was that good to deserve a spot in it! I mean.. Yees, he f'd up... BUT.. I get it.. I get why top players didn't see LFC as the team to win big trophies. I mean.. did we fans? not really. Although we knew we could ofc! So I think Torres did his job. Also.. I don't think the transfer did mess him up. He was very prone to injuries. And the transfer... It was actually genius of LFC. Getting 50M for him was a good deal. but I will NEVER forget El Niño.. Not only just because of LFC, but also as a Atletico fan.. interestingly.. To be a LFC and Atletico fan has given me many chances to keep my favourite players as the fac players, as many LFC players for some reason also played for Atletico. Even Suarez. Anyway... I will Never stop singing NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA.
He can always look to Shevchenko, Kezman, Lukaku, Falcao, Morata, Aubamayang, Havertz and Werner to feel better about himself. They all flopped as Chelsea's primary strikers.

Yeaaaah but i feel luis suarez for liverpool was lethal than torres
@@roycejr5749 Liverpool played defensively under Rafa Gerrard would have been pretty much what kdb at man City is now if Gerrard and Torres got half of the Liverpool's team now
Gerrard plus torress carried that team not torress alone
You guys did not watch that team. Alonso mascherano kuyt benayoun
there's nothing shameful for being injured cause its not their choice or intentions to be injured 😢

Their combo would have been deadly, but at the end of the day, one would eventually leave for the other
As a Chelsea fan during my boyhood years.
Fernando Torres was an absolute legend.
One of my favourite players to ever step foot on a pitch and is one of the main reasons I chose to support Liverpool as a kid growing up.
Agreed with you there him and gerrard were great my dad being a fan was a factor also

Why are scousers so scared to walk alone is it because of bootle??
9:40 Liverpool fans didn't name him 'El Niño'. That became his monicker in his first season in Atlético de Madrid
As a Red he broke my heart, but I always had a soft spot for him and I'm so glad his career came good again at Atleti. He seemed a gentle man, and he deserves the adulation he got there.

Fernando Torres is the reason I support Chelsea. I don’t care what anyone says for me he’s my favourite striker of all time
Why Chelsea though for Torres?
Not trying to be a dick. But all he did at Chelsea was run round Victor valdes? Iconic. But??? Idk just curious
why not Bosingwa?

Torres was a beast .. if it was today he would be rated along The likes of Bellingham or Harlaand🎉
Bellingham and haalland?
Torres hair is better than both combined.
He's at the level of Ronaldo and Messi only his knee injury prevented him from surpassing them.
When he lost his speed he lost his edge. As good as he was though Luis Suarez was on another level.
Yeah Suarez was better at biting players. That's truly admirable aggression.
I bought his spain shirt during euro 2008. Good spanish team
Finally early to one of your videos. Just wanted to say your content is Amazing brother! Very Inspiring. Keep up the great work 🔥🔥
He was the BEST ❤
I love this game because of him
I don't know if he was a flop at Chelsea that's a bit harsh. Easily one of the greatest and most inspirational footballers ever.
The man who got me into the beautiful game

I remembered the dynamic duo of Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres at Liverpool by Steve Irungu Jermaine
Gerrard & Torres. Wonderful combo.
Can't help but feel sturrdige & Suarez made an even better combo

Still remembered in ENGLAND as Liverpool's number 9🔥🔥🙌
If injuries didn't ruin certain players the football landscape could be so different. This guy could of been up there with raul and van basten 😔
Freaky timing for this video, I just played through world cup 2010 with Spain earlier today and Torres was my top scorer!
FIFA?

You never said the fashion capital 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
His time at Liverpool he was scaryyy good!! Lack of silverware was the only thing missing😢
T90 Nike and Torres are synonymous in my head
Would love a Lukas Podolski episode
Torres and Suarez on paper would have been amazing but, in reality, his decline had already began. Injuries had taken hold by that point.
He was not that bad at Chelsea just don't get the goals ppl did want
Good job my friend as always ..could you do one on Francesco totti!! The king of Rome
Great video man✊
Please Patrick Vieira next
Great video. I still think he is one of the greatest striker ever and he will forever be my role model
Chelsea Torres was no flop he won everything there is to win and he scored clutch goals
I have tromendous respect for you Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres by Steve Irungu Jermaine
