All of the haters nitpicking about the annunciation and repeating of information need to just put a lid on it! This was another great video with excellent shots a good explanation and great content. Keep up the good work Big Tractor Power!
Thank you for watching. I try to provide info on what is happening in the field. I have worked on reducing repetition in my videos. My newest releases are more stream lined.
I have a couple questions, how will this farm rotate their crops. It seems that the farms you follow are able to produce multiple crops a year in one field. Love the videos, keep up the great work.
Jason Procai I'll attempt to explain it the best I can. The field in this video will have corn planted on it in the spring, when the corn is combined winter wheat will be planted in the fall then combined in the spring (generally in June) then soybeans will be planted and combined in the fall and then the cycle starts over again.
This field will be in line ripped this fall. In March corn will planted. Next October the field will either be strip tilled to follow with corn again in 2018 or it will be seeded into winter wheat. If wheat is seeded then it will be harvested in June 2018 and soybeans will be planted right behind the combines. In October 2018 those soybeans will be cut and the rotation will start again. If this field is corn on corn in 2018 the wheat will be drilled in October 2018 and then cut and double cropped into soybeans in June 2019.
The majority of crops combines cut can use a belt header or auger header. Most people call them wheat headers which is what you see in this video. Corn headers are used on corn mainly because the stalk is thicker and sickles won't do the job. Milo can be cut using either really but corn headers seem to do the job. Pickup headers are commonly on your chopper machines, but sometimes a cutter will use it to pick up grain on the ground a swather knocked down.
Axial flow is a combine with a rotor in it to do the threshing as opposed to a drum ,it is a trade name ,IHC pioneered the technology in the 1970s ,it is gentler on the crop and reduces cracking.
i just whant to know how do the truckdrivers no where to go with the corn i whant to go overseas and drive truck but i am scared that i could get lost can someone please help me please?????
There are few reasons for that. The first reason is to drive home the information. Often even though the information is given once, twice or three times it seems people miss the info sometimes. Often I do not know what clips I am going to get to film and information gets repeated in different shots. On key specs there is not to much to say and it repeated to add commentary in a longer video.
Very enjoyable. The unloading speed of both the combines and the cart is amazing.
+ Bigtractorpower people here in NC are picking beans like crazy before the storm
I hope the storm is not too bad.

Thank you very much! In Minnesota we only get one crop.
when was this vid taken
i like your Videos!!!
Why run the reel all the way down?
so to harvest other crops you just change the head or do you need another whole machine?

is this model ih 9240 the largest case combine?
+Sandhu Bhupinder yes it is.
Great video thanks. How big is that field and how long did it take to cut it ?
I am not sure. I would say it was 100 to 200 acres. They cut a good section of it in 45 minutes.
is this close to Lafayette ky
or herndon oak grove
Yes
are they extra diesel tanks in front of the tractor?
+Sandhu Bhupinder they are chemical tanks used to carry starter fertilizer in the spring when the tractor pulls a Corn Planter.
thanx
Ok how fast do the grain carts unload the beans per second? We hear all about the main machine but never the implements. Specs please!
The new Kinze 1105 cart will unload 700 bu. Per minute.
Thank you, appreciate that.
wait a minute, bean harvest already, you havent shown Garnett Farms shelling corn yet
No worries. BTP has lots of Garnett corn footage on the way. We have filmed so much we are a few weeks behind in posting the footage.
What is "axle" flow, BTP? Isn't supposed to be axial flow?
Yes it is an Axial Flow. The dust was bothering my allergies. My annunciation may not be up to par.
Axial flow is a combine with a rotor in it to do the threshing as opposed to a drum ,it is a trade name ,IHC pioneered the technology in the 1970s ,it is gentler on the crop and reduces cracking.
You were cutting it fairly close yourself crossing the path of the harvester at 9:45...🤔
It was not as close as it looks. Always looking for a good shot and to stay clear of the dust.
45 foot heads?
40ft headers. They are following 16/31 planters and are staying on a consistent pass each time.
Do the farmer not want to be on camera?
Double crop beans ?
Full season in this video. Double crop beans are just starting to be harvested. We have double crop bean harvest video on the way.
i just whant to know how do the truckdrivers no where to go with the corn i whant to go overseas and drive truck but i am scared that i could get lost can someone please help me please?????
Soya beans looks a very dusty crop to harvest
Yes it is. I lose a camera each year by the time beans are done. The dust always gets inside and ruins the lense.
oh yes very dirty when dry in the afternoon and itchy!
why not just drive the wagon along side the combine
paul sanders they are you fucking idiot
My name is kulbir Singh Punjab India
👍👍👍
Thank you for watching.
