I had a lot of questions from you guys on how to apply to the academy if you foreigner, and in case you interested I write about it sometimes on my boosty page, so if you wanna find answers and other useful information about admission like what you need to admit, how your portfolio shoud look like, a lot of examples of artworks for exams - just come and check anytime)

And I’m glad to be back with a new vlog from the Imperial Academy of Arts in St. Reterburg! This is an amazing place, many world famous Russian artists studied here! It feels like going to Hogwarts and I am very lucky to be a part of it)))
Today Im gonna show you our exam week, how we prepare our examination exhibition and get our points, also you will see the entire exhibition of all the workshops of painting department like from freshmen to seniors

Never subbed faster. Your videos make me wanna cry but in a good way. I just started drawing in 2020 and I've never been in a room full of people creating art. Your videos have inspired me to seek out a local live model drawing session. I need to be in a room full of people creating. I can feel it pulling at my soul.

I love your videos. You're living my dream. I'm taking a Russian academic drawing course, but it's online. All the students look like fashion models. How is that possible? (PS - cinematographers say to avoid too much camera movement to avoid getting people dizzy :-).

Замечательно. Столько таланта. По-моему, в сентябре вестибюль Академии наполняется студентами , которые, сидя на ступеньках, рисуют этот самый вестибюль. Зрелище эпическое. Как будто оркестр, играющий какого -нибудь Вагнера.

Привет , а можно такой профессиональный вопрос. На каком разбавители или масле вы в академии пишите? Спасибо )
Привет)) Я пишу на пинене (разбавитель номер4), иногда добавляю немного льняного масла
ребята пишут на тройнике/скипидаре/ Алисе(один из бюджетных разбавителей)
Просто у нас в группе все пишут на скипидаре и иногда такое ощущение, что легкие можно выплюнуть ))
Поэтому перешла на льняное , но получается слишком жирно и блестяще , что не возможно ничего разглядеть

@@user-xn1sh6ht8w мне кажется пинен самая нормальная штука, он очень нейтральный и приятный) а если с точки зрения технологии живописи, то тройник тк там и пинен и лак и масло и вот оно все вместе работает на долговечность и сцепление и отсутствие прожухания и тд

It´s terrifying that all drawings and paintings look the same. An art school is supposed to make you an individual artist but not a replication machine
No here they start from the beginning of studying and learning how to be able to get lines, measurements and everything to how it should be. It’s literally called studying and then in more advanced years I’m pretty sure that’s where it starts to become harder when they are required to use all their knowledge from previous years to apply it to their own artworks
You do not have to be a Muslim to support Palestine, but rather be a human being and I hope the world understands🇵🇸
