А представь себе ,что академия вышвырнула Крамского,Васильева,а ранее Федотова,то получается такой минус в заслугах.Эх если бы во главе Академии в своё время встал Крамской.......
I really wanted to study like this when I was young but in the 70s, UK, classical training was frowned upon and the litany “everyone is an artist” was bandied across the class and everyone encouraged to do kindergarten art. It was so depressing.
YOu have to basiclly be already amazing. Children start training from age 5 all the way to 19 to develop a skill level to even qualify to apply, let alone get in.
I would very much appreciate the time and resources dedicated to observational drawing, painting and sculpture, though I would be a little worried at the spirit of conformity. Does the atmosphere in the school show how authoritarianism runs through Russian society?
Its education, you follow the 'rules' and then when you leave you can do whatever you like, its just a few years of conformity. Why go to a school of such prestige and then disagree with the teachers who are teaching such an old method?
It's because of morons like this guy so desperate for creativity without even knowing the rules, that the state of art academies in the world is so horrible right now and it's pretty pathetic that they don't even realize it.
First you learn the disciplines of drawing/painting then you develop your own style, then you create your own abstraction which is an extension of your own experiences. This is where you start. It’s a teaching academy.
imagine studing where greatest artists like Repin, nicolai fechin, valintine sorov, and nicolai blokhin graduated 😩
it would be insanely awesome.

Академию превратили в артель самобытных талантов.Короче говоря"академический лубок".

If you are a conformist by nature , you will conform. It boils down to who you are.

What you call conformity I call discipline.
