Yes🎉! I was there, too, I was pushed to front row by crowds behind me. Quite scary, one couldn't move an inch, literally! but security folks there were good and asking are you all right. Fainted girls were pulled over our heads. Great gig, though! Had rib bone ache for 2 weeks. So, obviously,no thanks that kind of packed crowds for me never again (I do panic!) But still, so glad the young me was there❤!
Iggy was probably at the height of his career as his singing was at its absolute best, and his stage act was great as per usual. The audio of this concert is studio quality.
Even touring the most commercial album he ever made, with an appropriately poppy backing band and fully clothed, Ig still ROCKS harder than pretty much anyone else. Not so much a rock star as force of nature.

Great Show, Iggy's in Top Form. What a Set List. Band is Tight. Just Love Winners & Losers !! Been a long time since he's done his Back Bend !! The Man is an Anomaly.
And further to my last comment he manages to wear a jacket for well over an hour. Then the riff from I wanna be your dog drops, and he's like- fuck this clothed torso shit. Then wears it as a hat whilst crawling around suggestively on all fours.
I'd hate to be one of the people whose view is blocked by those signs and flags. I got to see Iggy over 20 times in the U.S. and Paris between 1986 and 1991, and a dozen times got that perfect front row, dead center spot to cling to the rail and see the show. I think that period he peaked with blitzodelic shows in bars, clubs and theaters with the tickets never over $25. I just looked at a ticket stub from Le Zenith in Paris on this tour and I paid 115 Fr., which was about $21. (A riot broke out, but that's another story). In my opinion, the greatest front men in rock have been Elvis, Jagger and Iggy. They are in a class all to their own. I've seen a lot of great ones, but Iggy beats them all, with Jagger on a hot night coming in second. No performer ever cranked up the intensity and maintained it the way Iggy did. Video doesn't capture that part of the atmosphere. I swear, it felt like the whole place was about to go up in a thermonuclear mushroom cloud.
too much synths, keys. First tour since kickin', not sure of himself. The next record Instinct and the subsequent tour. Live at the channel in Boston. It's one of the best balls out shows I've heard. I'm 60 in Oct. The rhythm has the pocket, Andy McCoy's killer leads. Let's do it!
My first consert with a major artist some days later at the Kalvøyafestival. They had replaced Shades with I'm sick of you by this point, otherwise it was quite identical. Just learned that this was his first tour without heroin, he clearly wanted to prove something. Was he ever better?
Perhaps the best since the Stooges days... This is a particularly good show and Nice to be captured by TV, I think you can feel lucky for seeing him in this period 😉
@@hulkyway1 I'm with you on that. Well maybe a bit. That 1977 manchester apollo show where he does that agonised version of the passenger- pretty sure he had some smack in him then. Pretty sure all the other drugs too. It remains my all time favourite live performance by anyone ever. Go seek
@@hulkyway1 He used heroin after 1977. In 2003 in Rolling Stone he mentioned that it has been 20 years when he last did it, so I guess he stopped around 1985.
This concert ist probably the best concert IGGY performed in the 80th outside of the USA......Damned ,how great he is!

Iggy in his rare wearing a top on stage phase. A jacket even.

Iggy Pop really on point for this show! He had cleaned up the drugs and booze!
Iggy is the man he fused punk with hard rock thank god.never gets old.

The roller rink organ at the beginning of Wild One isplaying the theme to the original BATMAN series ! Hilarious.....
What poor taste there is out there that this superb concert of Iggy at his peak has only 5,723 views
Crazy world and crazy times we live in unfortunately.... But as long as we know the score we can spread the news
Without heroin he still works, but heroin days he was a different person, not better or worse. Two Iggy.
Also, Europe always got him better than the US.
the next tour he's at his peak. Get the original Iggy Pop live at the channel.. '88. Originally recorder for the KBFH. Check my comment above.
Unless you specifically look up his particular concert, it's not that easy to find. You need to view a lot of Iggy Pop before this pops up.
Saw him on the Roskilde Festival a couple of weeks later .

I agree on Search and Destroy as well as Raw Power, it didn't have kick ass, loud- distorted guitar! Although most of the show was great!
