Down shift ചെയ്ത് break ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ എൻജിൻ ലോക്ക് ആകാനുള്ള സാധ്യത കൂടുതൽ ആണ്.. അതുകൊണ്ട് തന്നെ പുറകിലെ wheel skid ആകാനും സാധ്യത ഉണ്ട്.. (non slipper clutch vehicles)
ഇതേ സമയം engine rpm മുഴുവനായും കുറയ്ക്കാതെ (around 2500-3000 rpm) keep ചെയ്താൽ back wheel ലോക്ക് ആകുന്നത് ഒഴിവാക്കാൻ സാധിക്കും..

Hi Strell super approachable video. For panic braking one more effective method I use is to throttle down immediately as soon as you see danger. Feather the front break for a split second, then progressively squeeze the brake. The throttle down and feathering helps to compress front suspension, thereby reducing the effective wheelbase. Also the bike becomes more rigid.

Good video and good effort, bro. I must add for our fellow riders that there is a lot more to braking than what our brother Strell is trying to explain. Various aspects like bike angle, tyre grip, braking from a steady speed Vs braking from a point of acceleration, weight transfer etc. As Strell suggested, keep practicing. Play it safe. Braking effectively and safely on a two wheeler is one aspect which takes a lot of time to master. You need to get a feel for the motorcycle components and the rhythm of the road you're on. Quick tip: if your motorcycle is in a lean and you apply the rear brake, it leans further. If you apply the front brake, it stands up. If you try to downshift mid corner without assessing the grip on offer your rear tyre will almost always lock up since the contact patch will be much less when it is leaning. So practice, be safe, ride at 70% of your limit while on public roads. Do not be over confident. I've had my share of accidents in my early days but luckily I'm still riding. Refer to the video series called the Cornering Bible. Thank you, Strell for giving back to our misunderstood community.

Bro I bought unicorn 150 ABS after exchanging my old 2009 model unicorn which did 126000 KM's.. my old bike cheated me twice (no serious injuries as I was below 50km/hr)with front wheel locking during panic breaking.. did 1600kms on my new bike. I would say even within this km I had one panic breaking situation but ABS saved me. Unicorns ABS is smooth even we cannot feel the jerks. Braking is far better than my previous bike. But I should say Honda has decreased the quality of parts which I felt on switches, mirrors etc. Also gear box is not as smooth as my previous bike which did not improve during my first service as I expected.. rest the bike is good. The best bike in 150cc segment with real commuter riding position (both handle and rider foot pegs) for all ages...
