I like that she's a safe rider. The one thing I was told when I started riding was "on a bike you have no rights". In an accident you may have had the right of way, but your still dead. You have to drive so defensively, every car is trying to kill you. Drive like that and you'll have a long riding life.
Fantastic video! Not only was it great to see you riding after so long, but it's amazing to see how excited you were! If you're happy and having fun, we're happy and having fun! Happy 2020 to you both 😊
I bought my 2017 Supersport after watching a lot of UA-cam reviews from professional motorcycle journalists. I was hesitant at first; like most people considering buying a sport bike, my ego was pushing me towards something painful and frightening to ride, something that couldn't be ridden for more than an hour without requiring physiotherapy, but after listening to the enthusiastic reviews of seasoned professionals, I took the leap. I love this bike! It combines the performance characteristic of an 821 Monster with a sexy single-sided swing arm and gorgeous, liquidy faring. It's a joy to ride on a twisty mountain highway where 200 plus horse power is useless. After 40 years of motorcycle ownership I can honestly say this is the most enjoyable bike I have ever ridden. The only modifications I've made to it are, a tail eliminator, lower seat (I have ridiculously stumpy legs), and I removed the hideous passenger foot-pegs and associated brackets. Also, where seat hight is concerned, I never wear running shoes when I'm riding, always boots. A little thicker soul will plant you more solidly at an intersection, and higher uppers are just sensible . . . seriously, don't ride in running shoes . . . it's almost as foolish as riding in shorts.
That bike is one of THEE MOST comfortable Ducati’s I’ve been on to this day! I’ve rode the 959 and V4S and it’s almost a night and day difference! For riding your first time in a year you definitely did great also while vlogging. I have a request for you. You and Jeret MUST put out some more dual vlogs in 2020. I’m sure BOTH of your subscribers would agree! Happy New Year to you both!
Just a reminder that the clutch IS NOT your friend when in or entering a turn. If you feel that you are entering too fast, just concentrate on looking all the way through the turn and leaning the bike in more if needed. If you panic and pull in the clutch lever the bike will run wide, quite possibly missing the turn altogether.
After 2 years or so of video's....this was BY FAR AND AWAY the most excited I have EVER heard Christina!! LOLZ So glad youwere able to get back on a bike and fell that enjoyment!! THe words you were looking for is "Riding in your own comfort zone" vice riding like an idiot..LOLOL
The excitement and just the pure joy that express about the bike and most of riding it is just.......who isn't happy for you to be riding? Hats off to you for expressing that you ride smart. Everyone should take a page for being smart on the road book. Be safe. And enjoy life!
I sold my Ninja 300 and saved and got this bike as a replacement. Been amazing! Extremely comfortable and fun to ride in town and take up to the canyons here in Utah for some amazing twisty roads!
So proud of you Christina very informative and entertaining!! Your UA-cam presents is great .! We’ve seen the growth and you deserve all the great things coming your way..I love you and JC Peace and blessings and prosperity to both you guys!!!
YES!! Finally a Motorcycle video again. As far as my personal opinion on the bikes though... I think you made a good choice on going with the updated V2, as far as Ducatis go, over this thing. Especially if you are utilizing the superbike for what it was created to do first "track time". For the riders that do primarily street riding and alot of commuting than of course this supersport with milder ergonomics and a more tame manner is a better choice, although as far as a Ducati street bike for street riding I would prefer a liquid cooled Ducati Monster. I don't understand the lowering of a performance built superbike either, you say you are 5' 9"? I'm only 5'8" and I've been fine with all my tall bikes, my 33" seat height R6 I had 12 years ago and my Aprilia RSV4 that is my current tallest seat bike, as well as the many bikes I've had in between. I've never wanted to sacrifice the lean angle clearance you are stuck with from a lowering kit, not to even mention the handling performance headache you have to deal with now that you have altered the chassis dynamics, even just the slight change to the suspension dynamics from the change of slightly altering the rear swingarm angle or the rake angle is going to always cause a noticeable change in handling characteristics from what the superbikes original engineered characteristics were. I get that alot of people aren't experienced enough riders to be bothered by that and alot of them simply just don't know enough about it or even don't care but It makes quite a difference for even that occasional track day or other aggressive/fast paced ride. You have real strong legs, I know you work out those glutes and quads all the time lol, you can handle the leg work on a tall bike. Plus you are getting a v-twin superbike that is slimmer than any inline 4, so that's even easier to have a good footing. I know even my Aprilia with a V4 is much more compact and slimmer than my cbr1000rr was, though a bit taller, it seems to give me the same footing. You should only be using one foot when stopping anyway, your left foot, since your right foot is needed for your rear brake lever. I got pretty use to the one foot leaned stops from being a short kid on tall dirtbikes, you definitely don't ever have the option to lower an offroad bike or you would lose all your useful suspension travel and needed ground clearance haha.
Christina be careful of traffic sneaking up your back or from side streets while your minds on commentary for videos. I am only 5' 7" so I know what it is like riding all the bikes with trying to get foot down. I have 9 bikes currently and have been riding for 40+ years. I know you will get much more confident as you ride say 10,000 miles or more. Touring will become fun planning multi state trips. These early years you and Jarets love for sexy powerful bikes, that's great. I just worry traffic and video commentary could present extra risk for newer riders. I love Jaret excitement for sport bikes it brings memories of all my time attending Daytona, Loudon NH, and Europe bike rallies/races. The heydays of Sport Bikes was the 1990's. Both of you are great Ambassadors to bring motorcycling back to the level it should be with the younger generation.
I absolutely love my 2019 SuperSport. Most comfortable bike I’ve ever had. I’m surprised that they didn’t take off as much as they should have imo. Very underrated and not widely known bike.
The bike looks good on you, but I think you will like the V2 more when you get it. The SuperSport is on the lower performance side than the V2 since the SuperSport's target is for the beginner to mid-level rider. I ride a Ducati 998 (old school Ducati) that is very track oriented and test rode the SuperSport S just for fun. I felt like a grown man riding a kiddie bike.
Thanks for the vlog Christina! I also watched Jaret's review to get input from each of you. I still need to ride one, but having sat on one, it did feel like a bike you could and would want to ride a lot. Like the look of the V2, but for street riding, I doubt I'll miss the power difference between the two bikes. Comfort = More enjoyable time in seat! Thanks for sharing! EW :)
At last. Was wondering when the motorised bicycles were coming back to your channel. Good to see your still excited about them. Road trip vlog. Boom mic drop.
Me too! I loved this bike. I'm missing your videos and Jaret too. Congratulations! And you and Jaret are very, very happy. You make a beautiful couple.
Awesome to see you back on a bike! That bike does suite you very nicely! Have fun my dear, you only live once! Like a friend of mine says "this ain't no dress rehearsal!
Hey Christina you will love the SS. You can get low seat for it from Ducati. In Sport Mode it is fantastic. It's the perfect all rounder, super sexy looking, comfortable and handles awesome in the twisties.!! Can't wait to hear what you think of it once you get more comfortable riding again.
I'm not really a Ducati guy myself i'm a GSX-R man i think you should get another one of them 750 u'll beat the 1000 on twisty roads but on a straight the 1000 will juat have it really theres not as much in it between the 750 and a 1000 as people think. You do look awsome on a sports bike though :) xx
That's my bike! I have it in grey with the red wheels. When I saw it I fell in love with it. Prior to that I rode the ducati sport 1000, the cafe racer they did. I rode it across Canada but it was a lot of work with the clip on handle bars. The supersport like you said is super comfortable. I look forward to taking it for a big trip. I will be interested to hear your comments on the various riding modes. I have put 5000km on the new one and I think its incredible. More supersport content please :-) Mine is off the road for the winter. Its too cold on Vancouver Island!
Glad to see you riding teens. But my dad jeans wants to remind you to try to make a habit and keep 2 fingers over that front brake. Reaction to action time will be greatly improved take care be safe.🙋♂️
Hell yeah Cristina you look so good and comfortable on that bike I can tell you have more confidence in your riding the bike looks awesome and personally white is my favorite color on motorcycles too!
Teens, that super sport is super sweet and suits you! I dig it! Except the dash... 2020 Ducati and no color dash is lame imo. Nice seeing you on two wheels again!
I really enjoyed your energy, enthusiasm, and honesty while moto-blogging. I think you’re a natural! New sub here to your channel from JC’s. Not to mention a lot easier on the eyes than JC! Lol. Keep up the good work.
Thanks to Ducati for sending me the 2020 Supersport S!! I had an absolute blast riding again, definitely missed it! Can't wait for my V2 😁
en otra vida quiero reencarnarme en uno de tus tangas

Nice to see you riding! My girlfriend learned how to ride exactly one year after you. It is great riding together. Enjoy, ride safe.

Thank you for posting this video total respect for riding skills .

Cool video, Christina. Would be interested to see your video of V2 vs SuperSport S. I own Super Sport S Red and I just love it.

With a photochromatic lens, how long does it take to switch from clear to dark? What happens if you go through a tunnel?
Just need a rear mounted camera for the angle we all want. Lol. What set up did you use where you can hear Jareds voice too??
That's a sick ass ride they sent you!
Greetings from Mexico 😊
