Work in firearms retail and own two PX9-Gen3's, a Duty and a Tactical. While I can not attest to durability since I do not shoot nearly as much as I should, they are amazing pistols for the money. While they are large, they handle and fire well. The trigger is similar to Canik but not as short of a reset, but a similar crisp break. The backstraps and interchangeable grip panels allow for a very custom fit. For my hand, I find the medium backstrap, large right side panel and small left side perfect. Also the MecGar supplied Sig P226 pattern magazines perform without issue. I feel this is one of the best weapons for the money on the market. Maybe the only things I like better are the SIg P220-series, the CZ99 variants and the Walther PDP.
Oh and just to add ... I look forward to a conceal carry design from the folks at Tisas. I thought I heard in SHOT Show coverage that they were planning one for later this year using Sig P938 pattern mags. While I was hoping for more of a Hellcat/Sig P365-esque weapon, I look forward to seeing it.

I own the duty model and just ordered the carry model. My duty has probably 700 rounds through it with no issues except with one mag the slide doesn't lock back every time. It's my most accurate pistol and I have a Hellcat Pro, an SD9VE, and a G2C.
I don't see the Glock slide release as being too small. I even cut mine in half, level with the notch that the slide actually locks onto. Reason for that is my grip will often cause the Glock to NOT lock open last round, so the smaller cut down release helps with that. And I still get my slide to drop the second the mag goes in every time. There's a technique to it.
I have no intention of buying another 9 mm pistol - although I may have to re-evaluate that decision. I have a Taurus G3 which is a great pistol and is currently selling for $209 on sale which is also a bargain. However, it's not every day that you can buy a reliable 9mm that uses 18-round and 20-round Sig P226 magazines, comes with an optic plate for an RMR red dot, several back straps and side panels to customize the grip, a flared mag-well, a threaded barrel, a mag loader and a polymer IWB holster that the Tisas PX-9 has for only $249 (on sale and $239 w/o the threaded barrel ) and have lots of change left over to stock up on ammo. Turkish guns are well-made and reliable primarily because their manufacturing standards have to meet ISO 9001 requirements at a minimum. I had one of the original Canik TP-9's that was a clone of the Walther P99 which was a nice gun that I sold only because it was too hard to rack. If "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery," then Turkish manufacturers express that flattery in the other clones they make. Last year, I looked at some Turkish pistols like the Girsan MC9 and MC28 that resemble CZ pistols that were also in the $300 and under range. While I was there, I also couldn't help but look at two guns up in the Glock price range: the Girsan Regard (a Beretta 92 clone) and the MC P35 (a High-Power clone). The slide looks like a Sig. Multi panel grip is like HK. Cocked firing pin indicator is like Canik . A LOT of great features for a great price , a trigger pull comparison is like a high end proformince trigger . The big question is can it use Glock holsters ?
Here is what you have to consider when evaluating the Tisas PX 9 Gen 3 as an EDC option; the grip is designed after the H&K VP9 which was the first to offer interchangeable side straps as well as back straps with the overall frame mimicking the profile of a Springfield XD's silhouette but without the dreaded backstrap safety, the trigger guard is reminiscent of a CZ P10 as is the profile of the Slide, the trigger itself is a perfect cross between the P10 and a Canik in appearance and although the reset is not as tactile or short as the Canik, it still is far superior to many stock offerings in firearms nearly twice its price. The fact that it utilizes Sig 226/228 patterned magazines means that additional magazines are readily available in the aftermarket. Lastly, Glock sight pattern means that aftermarket options are nearly limitless. Remember that I said the lower resembles an XD lower well that comes in as a benefit because this allows the holsters for XD model pistols to accommodate the PX-9, (my buddy has a we the people IWB for an XD that he carries his Gen3 carry model with and it works great). I look at it like this the PX-9 is an amalgamation of the XD, VP9, CZ P10, and Sig for all the right reasons and best of all costs nearly 1/3 of most of these. Winner IMO!
Glock is one of the most popular pistols in America; they don’t get that way by being overpriced lol. The market supports them at their current price point - that’s by definition not overpriced.

Tisas does NOT fit my XD holsters like others have said. I 've found Urban Carry lock leather and 1791 Holsters work great for IWB. Bulldog makes a kydex OWB with retention, trigger finger releases the gun for draw. Good luck.

People complain about the takeup on a trigger, but that's their for a reason Is especially on a duty pistol. Think about it for a second It's kind of a built in safety. They don't want you coming right to a wall and the trigger breaking. They want you to think about it when you're pulling that trigger, before you pull the trigger all the way.
I own a Gen 3 Tisas 'Night Stalker' and have only good things to say about it so far. However, there is one real factor that the Glock has over it. With 40 years of solid, proven reliability with militaries, law enforcement and civilian use, Glocks are the gold standard of semi-auto handguns throughout the world.
Glock should fix that nasty trigger of theirs before charging $500+. The budget Turkish pistols have 2x better trigger for half the price. I only bought one glock new and I don't think I would do it again. Those who say 'just swap out the trigger' seem to be really bent over a barrel by glock and those who manufacture the accessories for them. You shouldn't have to swap out a single thing at that price point.
I would prefer the px-9 based on looks otb. Plus gen 5 Glock vs gen 3 px-9. I Will say gen 5 Glock does look much better than older versions (best look yet) for Glock. Much better deal for the px-9 also.
It's basically a xd , it looks the same in side . I have three of these guns and have no failures. Just break it in with both mags loaded with 124 gr. Then move to 115 if you like .
I can honestly say that I haven't had a single hiccup after putting a couple thousand rounds through mine. I even started using it for my EDC. It's that reliable.

There is no comparison! I have the PS9 Duty and Tactical and they're so superior to Glock it isn't even funny. Glock is the Blackberry of guns and will be gone when the generation that was raised on them is gone. I know I know, harsh statements but you get the point, they stopped innovating just like the American car makers did and they became dinosaurs!
I agree fully. Glock relies on name and dependability. I haven't owned my px9 long enough to speak to it's dependability yet, but I haven't experienced any problems and don't expect to. Matter of fact, I hope I can buy a few more before their price goes the way of Canik. Great pistol!
I have two Tisas Gen 1s bought them on a whim after reading up on Turkey's Militaristic Society and standards towards Excellence... already being the owner of both an XD and Glock 17 along with many Other's the zigana PX9 is every bit as Quality made as either the XD or Glock and i don't have ta put up with the Horrendous Grip or' ass Safety " as i like ta call it' the trigger isnt as crisp' but with practice its every bit as Manageable, either of mine shoot on target in tight Groups right along with my 17' Many law enforcement agencies in turkey and Asia use the px9 as a Standard Sidearm due too its Reliability for all those that worship at the Glock Alter!! i have a friend who says why in iraq 🇮🇶 in a close quarters fire fight his Glock literally fell apart on him, and he had ta finish the task with an old 1930s Tokerev 762×25 he pulled off one of the Recently Departed... yeah its a Great Gun" But far from Perfect " he Said.....
The Tisas is a XD they dropped the back strap. HS Produkts (Production) must have sold or let a patten expire. Or they designed it different enough to not infringe on the former. PX-9 Duty Tisas are better Springfield XDs.
Patents are 20 years flat in the US. Design and utility patents in the EU are 15 and 20 years, respectively. TISAS came out with the Zigana PX-9 in Turkey around 2016, and in 2020 in the US.

Yeah I like this actually but the main reason I chose this over the Canik was I really like the manual thumb safety I wish it was an option at least on the gen3. I don’t personally see a reason to get this anymore over a canik the manual safety was the real reason for me on the previous gen
After 7.5 years I had finally gave up M&P and Glock and started going for CANIKS and Tisas Px’s. My opinion is as follows: All the Glocks look the same to me. They’re all black, blocky, and aside from calibers and gun sizes, they are basically the exact same in my opinion. The Glock 19x was one of my favorites because it stood out and was a reliable 9mm. The M&P’s are decent but I had some issues with my M&P’s. I recently purchased a generation 3, Tisas px-9 Duty. I was mind blown. I have held every type of revolver and general handgun and my hands fit so comfortably around the PX grip, it’s absolutely flawless. I’m a 6 foot 3 type of guy, so my hands are XL size. The Px-9 Duty came in a desert color with a threaded barrel. Which is amazing already and has the common 1/2x28 Common TPI so you can use multitudes of different types of compensators and silencers without having to dig and dig to find something that fits. Standard Glock compensators will fit the barrel. For the price. The amount of stuff you get in the Duty box is pretty nice. It even comes with a holster which also acts as a trigger protector. Comes with another trigger safety lock, another magazine, large mouth mag well, extended mag, extra front sight colors, cleaning supplies, side grip plates and beaver tails, i mean that’s pretty great for $300. Only thing I recommend from complaints about the fire arm is, the firearm requires deliberate lubing. Consumer reports said that the gun needed a good amount of lubrication for general operations. Aside from that, i truly enjoy it and will keep it.
What does that mean?? The reset on the trigger on the Tisas isn’t as crisp?? You can literally feel the wall instantly on the Tisas. Thats a great trigger. Lers stop fishing for reason to discredit pistols over glocks and give genuine reviews. The reality is people are so stuck on glocks they give disingenuous reviews.
But are they i mean the fbi the cia the police most civilians ect have and use them not many other guns are better are they pricy yes but I’ve yet to find a gun that’s quite as durable and easy to find parts and accessories for in every gun shop across the country i work at a range and I’ve seen a couple Glocks go over 200k rounds with a couple springs changed every 30-50k rounds before they’re broke after around 200k the frames and slide start to crack but most people will never shoot anything near that the navy seals use them now as well with the maritime cups since they do a lot better in salt water than other guns polymer don’t rust
Dont buy this pistol. Mine misfires every ten shots. It doesn't strike the firing pin lin hard enough for some reason and now I i have ro go through all the trouble of sending it to these idiots in Knoxville. I regret not paying the extra $200 and just buying the actual real Hellcat in which it copied.

Winner IMO!
Glock is over priced.
They gotta fix that trigger
@@KIMO365 for the price tag of 500 plus $, the Glock should come out of the box with premium features like Sig, who are in the same price range.
But reliable
Glock is one of the most popular pistols in America; they don’t get that way by being overpriced lol. The market supports them at their current price point - that’s by definition not overpriced.
@@rcflem Very true, and they hold their value if you ever want to get rid of it...
when will u test performance of Glock and PX 09
Picked up my Tisas today and shot 50 rds. I just have to adjust the rear sight today, it shoots left.
My gen 2 came with night sights. Pleasant surprise 😮
Noice
I have night sights on mine also.
Explain how Glock has better “Slide Design” over the Tisas yet only one comes pre-milled for RMR ?!?
C’mon man
I agree. He stated his preference over features like he said he would
I can not wait I got 1 come soon🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳good jod for Dallas Texas
He didn't mention the tisas px9 has a flat trigger standard.
I cannot figure out the function of the rail on the frame. What ever you put on it light or laser is a direct violation of rule #2 look it up.
My first dealing with polymer mags was with my sar st9 proprietary mags 😢I hate them so I now kinda hate my gun but I really can’t it’s the only gun I have 😂
Great review
Have 2 of these.. one in FDE.. STILL... cannot seem to find a good leather.(or Kydex) holster for these handguns.. OR the BRG either.. Any recommendations appreciated. Bigger than the XD or 320 holsters.
Tisas does NOT fit my XD holsters like others have said. I 've found Urban Carry lock leather and 1791 Holsters work great for IWB. Bulldog makes a kydex OWB with retention, trigger finger releases the gun for draw. Good luck.
@@mopesrus7266 I have found that the XDM 4" holsters fit..
Blackhawk! Serpa CQC Concealment Holster (Springfield XD Compact / Service Model)- 410507BK-R and Blackhawk Standard CQC Size 7 Right Hand 4" Springfield XD Concealment Injection Molded Sportster Holster, Matte Black - 415607BK-R and I got a leather from Renegade I think that fits..
Px 9 👌
Excellent presentation 👏
Ty for watching
I own a Gen 3 Tisas 'Night Stalker' and have only good things to say about it so far. However, there is one real factor that the Glock has over it. With 40 years of solid, proven reliability with militaries, law enforcement and civilian use, Glocks are the gold standard of semi-auto handguns throughout the world.
The Sig P226 and CZ75 have the same pedigree. I despise the grip angle on Glocks so I will never own one. I do enjoy shooting my Sig P226 and CZ75.
40 years of over priced guns 😴
Looks like the slide off of the first Gen CZ po7 duty
I thought so too.
Classic Firearms sold me a GEN 3 IRON ONLY PX9 ..FOR ONLY 199.00..They sell for 270 now..
I would prefer the px-9 based on looks otb. Plus gen 5 Glock vs gen 3 px-9. I Will say gen 5 Glock does look much better than older versions (best look yet) for Glock. Much better deal for the px-9 also.
I just buy the 30th anniversary version, it comes with a better trigger but they are going to give it to me in 3 months 😢
The reason I got mine was the ambi manual safety mine came with
It beats the Glock in price AND… in grip angle. The Tisas aims naturally… no wrist articulation needed.
How reliable is this gun??
It's basically a xd , it looks the same in side . I have three of these guns and have no failures. Just break it in with both mags loaded with 124 gr. Then move to 115 if you like .
@@clydeosborne5359 Oh ok nice, thanks for the info.
I can honestly say that I haven't had a single hiccup after putting a couple thousand rounds through mine. I even started using it for my EDC. It's that reliable.
@@clydeosborne5359 I left the slide locked open for a day and a half when gun was new. Helped break in that stiff spring. Took it to the range and flawlessly fired 200 115gr Fiocchi fmj range loads. Great pistol!
Classic arms has the PX-9 gen 3 for 279.00 right now....no brainer
Yeah great price and Kygun has a Sar9 mete with riton optic for 349
They just lowered it to $249
@@stevenmattix2550 Wow, just ordered one. Tactical version was already sold out!
$224 lol
Got mine at Classic Firearms for $249 a few months ago when they were promoting the hell out of it. Got the Tactical version with the 5.1" threaded barrel. Considering everything that's in the case, you can't beat the price (or the quality for that price).
Just bought one yesterday for $279
We are already making these weapons, we just attach the covers to the guns and send them to the weapons factory.
if you want to "compare" these two----then should be used glock vs px9---then be similar in price
but in realty this is what it comes down to besides the price difference
1. do you want a manual frame safety? yes get the px9
2. do you want to use P226 mags---yes get the px9
3 do you want to use XD or P320 holsters---yes get the px9
4. do you want to spend 200 bucks less---yes get the px9
i have both----i have glocks---cause you need at least one---or 4
i got the px9 for the price----as i had lots of p226 mags and p320 holsters and it had a manual safety
@@lenculpepper9150i just bought 2 and Im about to buy 2 more and their 5.7
I'd rather have a px9 night stalker over any glock any day.
I have two Tisas Gen 1s bought them on a whim after reading up on Turkey's Militaristic Society and standards towards Excellence... already being the owner of both an XD and Glock 17 along with many Other's the zigana PX9 is every bit as Quality made as either the XD or Glock and i don't have ta put up with the Horrendous Grip or' ass Safety " as i like ta call it' the trigger isnt as crisp' but with practice its every bit as Manageable, either of mine shoot on target in tight Groups right along with my 17' Many law enforcement agencies in turkey and Asia use the px9 as a Standard Sidearm due too its Reliability for all those that worship at the Glock Alter!! i have a friend who says why in iraq 🇮🇶 in a close quarters fire fight his Glock literally fell apart on him, and he had ta finish the task with an old 1930s Tokerev 762×25 he pulled off one of the Recently Departed... yeah its a Great Gun"
But far from Perfect " he Said.....
Canik forever tp9 elite and New model tp9 Mete MC
The Tisas is a XD they dropped the back strap. HS Produkts (Production) must have sold or let a patten expire. Or they designed it different enough to not infringe on the former. PX-9 Duty Tisas are better Springfield XDs.
Patents are 20 years flat in the US. Design and utility patents in the EU are 15 and 20 years, respectively. TISAS came out with the Zigana PX-9 in Turkey around 2016, and in 2020 in the US.
@@realtalk6195 HS Produkt came out with the HS2000 in you guessed it 2000. The Tisas Is an XD or XDSA or and HS2000. They just dropped the backstrap safety.
Yeah I like this actually but the main reason I chose this over the Canik was I really like the manual thumb safety I wish it was an option at least on the gen3. I don’t personally see a reason to get this anymore over a canik the manual safety was the real reason for me on the previous gen
I got 2 px9 out the door $520
After 7.5 years I had finally gave up M&P and Glock and started going for CANIKS and Tisas Px’s. My opinion is as follows:
All the Glocks look the same to me.
Tisas does glock better than glock lol
Have three glocks, one px9, the px9 has a better trigger than all the glocks.
Not really close.
Says "they say" means 'him' 🤣🤣🤣
pxg We are sending to Zigana Tisas arms factory
I thought it was a braddah talking
Why does everyone compare other guns to a Glock...Glocks are so overated and outdated.
Glock trigger is dumb looking.
Thank you
Ergos on the px9 is hands down better than the Glock. Looks goes to the px9 trigger goes to the px9. Grip customizing goes to the px9
my taurus ts9 is close to the px9 girls
You guys know glocks are free right? Just remove them off your local police officers hip. I'm not liable for any results
Glocks are to pricy & overrated I’m a blue collar worker and I do not like or support Glock period I got one of these in black
My first dealing with polymer mags was with my sar st9 proprietary mags 😢I hate them so I now kinda hate my gun but I really can’t it’s the only gun I have 😂
