Very kind of you to do this!👍👋💖
Thank you
Thank you! Gonna try these out for the Super Bowl tomorrow
Just tried this! Made some additions but this came out incredible. Was easy and the marinade was delicious! Thanks so much. This is a keeper
Glad you enjoyed, thanks for the feed back
After the 2 hours in the oven, I keep my ribs whole and finish them off on the bbq so they have some lovely colour and more authentic bbq flavour, they go all crispy then drizzle and brush some honey over the rack of ribs and leave in the bbq with lid down for a further 5 mins so they're all nice and caramelized, I did it for a party of 30 for an entrée and it was superb
Great recipe and video thanks so much and easy to do from ingredients I already have and marinating the ribs in a food storage bag is a great idea can’t wait to try it
Can't wait to cook these on the weekend! Love anything Asian food so I'm sure they will be amazing!
They do look Phenomenal.. Great job 👏🏽 😍😋🤤
So glad I’ve discovered your channel! You make all the stuff that I love, and do so extremely well.
Honestly must be something wrong with the algorithm as you deserve millions of subs

Making this over the weekend. Looking forward to it
I loved this recipe thanks so much clear instructions ❤
Wondering if that sauce will be good on chicken 🤔 like if I made some fried chicken and use the sauce over it ?
They look amazing and not too difficult to make!
Mine are marinading in the fridge and it will be more than 24 hours before being cooked. I'm drooling already and shall update later👍
So hungry now these look amazing
The ones I made on Saturday were absolutely amazing, deffo will be making again
Glad you enjoyed 👍
Trying this soon. Thanks again for all the ideas. Top man. Keep up the great work 👍
Hope you enjoy, thanks for watching and taking the time to feed back x
Looks good! Could you put a tray of water under your ribs to steam without filling the bottom of the rib pan? I feel like that would help with the sloshing of the water as you take them out of the oven to apply the bbq sauce.
Tried this last week put it this way, no more Chinese ribs take away
😂😂😂😂😂
I always wondered how the restaurants got it red lol food colouring? Wow I have to buy all these ingredients looks delicious!! Chinese food my favourite!
It's actually red bean curd ,I don't know what this guy doing haha
Awesome. Gonna try this today
Hope it’s good for ya
What if I only have regular soy sauce instead of light? I already used a whole cup of soy sauce in the marinade by accident according to recipe. Should i add water? Or will it be fine?
Wow these look tasty! Love the colour!
Thank you 😋
Just come across your channel and subscribed, yay, these look lush, hi from Manchester 😊

Where’s the RED coloring??? 😢😮😅😊
Nicely cooked and prepared! Looks so delicious and yummy 😋
Thank you for sharing.. joined new friend here 👍🤝
Hey, thanks for taking the time to check it out, welcome to the family 👍
Beetroot powder works wonders instead of red food coloring. Nice video
Looks so delicious! Have you tried Chinese beef and broccoli?
Yes very nice, glad you enjoyed the video
Should the sauce taste right immediately after making it? Or does it need to marinate first?
That’s exactly what I was wondering. I tasted mine and it tastes really salty, so I wasn’t sure if I was missing something or I put too much of something. 🤷🏽♀️
Awesome job... will do this soon... thx!
Your very welcome, thank you for stopping by and taking the time to watch 👍 much appreciated.
Wow your so good at cooking I’m from uk too Birmingham FAN
Thank you for the kind words, glad you enjoyed
@JayJay - what changes did you make?
big thank you!!💗
Sorry to ask but I’m really struggling to find the shaohsing wine , what else could I use
I use Mirin seasoning it's usually next to the Japanese foods in the supermarket. I actually prefer it to shaohsing wine
Any cheap dry sherry
Hi what sort of wine do you use , and is it possible to freeze the sauce once it’s made?
Sorry Lee I didn’t make it very clear in the video. It’s called shaohsing wine, it’s a Chinese cooking wine. And yes the sauce is freezable to enjoy as and when you want it. Hope that helps and hope you try the recipe it’s delicious .
Thanks for your reply I’d bought normal white wine lol, yes I intend to hopefully do this next week 👍
Aaaahh sorry mate, I wish I could have replied earlier before you bought it! On the upside you can drink the wine and get drunk if you don’t like the food 😂
😋
Wow very tasty I'm sure
Hangry now. Those look awesome.
Awesome recipe
Umme A'asim Official thank you so much
Absolutely
What kind of cooking wine???
Hi, sorry looking back I didn’t make it very clear did I. I used a Chinese rice wine. Very easy to get in most supermarkets or Asian stores. Thanks for watching hope you enjoy 😊
It’s okay, no worries! Thank you for responding👍🏻
Can you try this with beef ribs?
Absolutely, I bet they would taste amazing. Let me know how they turn out if you try them
Soo sweet ❤️💕❤️
Thanks 🤗
❤️
Okay.
Fan cook ???
"Oh my God!" I genuinely said out loud, when I saw that red food coloring deluged in. 😝
Yummy
Thanks for watching 👍
Where does the red color actually come from in Chinese takeout? Is that just food coloring too?
Edit: Seriously dude? Corn starch? 😑 I'd be more upset if it wasnt for the fact that I can actually see that also being the traditional way....
Thanks Muhammad
where is the recipie
Lol making it now no honey tho
What about boneless ribs.
I need to know how to cook boneless ribs please my daughter wants it for her bday Next month.
I have never tried this recipe with boneless ribs, I guess it would be the same but won’t take as long to cook. Any meat with a bone takes a bit longer to cook. I can’t see any reason why this recipe wouldn’t work without the bone. Please give it a go and let me know what you think. Sorry I can’t help more
Okay thank you. I will try.
Every time I think about making these I look at the shopping list and go buy an order from take out. Way cheaper and easier
This is not Jamie Oliver speaking he does not have this accent .
Waaaay too salty
Very complicated.
It’s not that bad, you should give it a go you will be surprised how easy it actually is
It is the most simplistic of all the Chinese Char Siu recipes I've watched. straight forward no bull
@@jimness5902 you must be some fabulous cook. 😐
Looks nothing like tge tips i get anywhere. Also rib tips are frief
I've never understood the whole 'red colour' thing with Chinese takeaways. You go to China and find pretty much none of their food is red. But, you could also make the argument that the types food you get from a takeaway and the types of food they actually eat in China is significantly different.
Same here, I found this recipe while searching for "red pork" recipes. Everything else I've found is basically Chinese cooking wine and dark soy sauce to achieve a natural reddish color to the pork. I've wondered if beet powder or beet juice might be an alternative, but I'm not going for a garish red color, anyway.
@@Josh_Green44 I've seen some chinese chefs use red bean curd or paste, if that helps.
It's all the same thing, no British curry is cooked in India
@Josh_Green44 beer powder, cooking wine and soy sauce won't make that red
Seriously? Chinese food as served around the world did not come from China.
