Is the racking arm set in the up/down position? Is there enough suction to actually pull liquid through or is it all just going out the bottom dump valve?
Hi I’m using exactly as you have shown. Works well BUT I am getting entrapment between tank and tri lamp fittings. Run hot caustic 30 minutes then hot rinse. How do you overcome this.
I would like to find a barbed “T” exactly like shown in this video, but all I can find are little three-way splices... not heavy-duty at all and ID doesn’t seem big enough. What exactly is the part used in the video for the T? Thanks and cheers!
Does the Micro Spray ball really get the job done? I tried the regular version on my Unitank with a 1/5 hp or chugger pump and it was pretty much worthless. Looking at the micro ball.
The key is pbw between 130-180 and run it for at least 30 minutes. Make sure the CIP ball doesn’t get clogged. You will hear when it does. Also don’t use too much water. 1-3 gallons is all you need.
I put around 3-4 gallons. Enough for transfer port to pick up liquid while the pump is running. For a 7gal unit it would be less id say probably 2 gallons
Louis Castellanos PBW, fresh water rinse, Acid Cleaner #5, fresh water rinse. Then Saniclean before use. Starsan creates too much foam for use with CIP sprayers in conical.
I found this PDF with instructions and a parts list from SSBT. This document does not use the racking port and tee though. ssbrewtech.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/article_attachments/115016965366/CIP_MICROsprayBALL.pdf

Its always best practice after using a CIP to take all fittings off and spray them down.

It seems like a threaded tee fitting (304) with 1/2” mpt to 1/2” barbs inserted at all three ports. Is that correct?
I used one of these www.brewershardware.com/1-2-FPT-TEE.html and 3 of these www.brewershardware.com/1-2-Threaded-Hose-Barb-TFM12B58.html

Your going to need a bigger pump - i use a 1.5hp job so 7.5x power of the chugger
you need the micro ball when using a standard brewing pump. The regular size ball is for sump pumps and higher volume pumps
It will work fine if you do it right. They didn’t explain well on what else you should do.

How much liquid do you put in the unitank/fermenter?
We had around 3 gallons in it

so would you do a PBW cycle and then a Star San cycle?
Or are you using something else and then rinsing?

We do PBW then a hot water rinse. Then well run the no foam starsan. No foam is key
Trying to do this setup. What parts did you use for the Tee?
Its just a NPT T fitting with 3 NPT to 1/2" Barbs
Can you please post a complete parts list for this setup?
I found this PDF with instructions and a parts list from SSBT. This document does not use the racking port and tee though.

How powerful of a pump are you using for this set up?
Its a standard chugger pump. www.stainlessbrewing.com/Chugger-Pump-Center-with-SS-head_p_170.html
@@craftbeertraders7560 The chugger puts out enough PSI for that spray ball? The spay ball says recommended 29 psi I think.
I use the micro spray ball. That one is designed for standard brewing pumps
Is it possible to CIP the blow off cane?
Yeah you can put the CIP in the blow off cane port
