    That works great. This will be my next purchase. Brewing for 30 yrs. There does what it is supposed to do. Yes...a spoon works too, but not as well as this in bringing the true to the center.

    Is the racking arm set in the up/down position? Is there enough suction to actually pull liquid through or is it all just going out the bottom dump valve?

    Only whirlpool demonstrations that count end with a wort including hops drained to reveal the trub cone.

    I don't know what was being used as the caustic but you should never add water directly to a caustic. You and the castic to the water.

    • @joshuapinter
      @joshuapinter Рік тому

      I read that as well. What's the reasoning for this? Is this to avoid splash back or something?

    • @stevenbeach748
      @stevenbeach748 Рік тому

      Caustic and water can make a violent reaction that can explode enough to get you in the face. It happened to me. If you add caustic to water it dilutes it before the reaction takes place.

    I would like to find a barbed “T” exactly like shown in this video, but all I can find are little three-way splices... not heavy-duty at all and ID doesn’t seem big enough. What exactly is the part used in the video for the T? Thanks and cheers!

      It seems like a threaded tee fitting (304) with 1/2” mpt to 1/2” barbs inserted at all three ports. Is that correct?

    Hi I’m using exactly as you have shown. Works well BUT I am getting entrapment between tank and tri lamp fittings. Run hot caustic 30 minutes then hot rinse. How do you overcome this.

    • @craftbeertraders7560

    Does the Micro Spray ball really get the job done? I tried the regular version on my Unitank with a 1/5 hp or chugger pump and it was pretty much worthless. Looking at the micro ball.

    • @mojonojo3
      @mojonojo3 5 років тому

      Your going to need a bigger pump - i use a 1.5hp job so 7.5x power of the chugger

    • @craftbeertraders7560
      @craftbeertraders7560 5 років тому

      you need the micro ball when using a standard brewing pump. The regular size ball is for sump pumps and higher volume pumps

    • @smitty7592
      @smitty7592 4 роки тому

      The key is pbw between 130-180 and run it for at least 30 minutes. Make sure the CIP ball doesn’t get clogged. You will hear when it does. Also don’t use too much water. 1-3 gallons is all you need.

    • @noneyabusinessjack
      @noneyabusinessjack 5 років тому

      Louis Castellanos PBW, fresh water rinse, Acid Cleaner #5, fresh water rinse. Then Saniclean before use. Starsan creates too much foam for use with CIP sprayers in conical.
