    I just bought me a red 2016 like these yesterday, 43,000 miles, I cannot begin to tell you how much I love it, Toyota's quality is on another level 😍

    The Corolla has been around since 1967 with over 50 million sold around the world. The majority of
    people want to go from point A to B in a reliable, safe, comfortable car. The Corolla does that. The reason why it's the best selling. I own a 2016 Corolla S Premium, fully loaded with Navigation, sunroof etc. With over 50,000 miles I've had no problems and always get compliments on my car.

      Get Banged No thanks, German cars are known to be unreliable and have high cost of maintenance. Japanese engineering is better than German. The Corolla is the best selling car in the world unlike the Jetta.

      Get Banged Here in the United States we don't see many Volkswagens. I do see many generations of Corollas.

    • @ELPJM09

      Get Banged I don't know what country your from but here in the U.S the Corolla is one the best selling. Volkswagen isn't as popular as Toyota and not as reliable lol. Japanese engineering is better than German.

    • @ELPJM09

      Get Banged I see many older people driving Volkswagens, Hondas and Mazdas lol. The Corolla is sold in over 150 countries around the world, can't say that for Mazda. The majority of people want a reliable and durable car, Toyota. Car and Driver is an unreliable source. If you look at Consumer reports and other reliability surveys, Toyota is always on top.

      Get Banged Corolla is a great car that fits most people's needs. I don't know what model your drove. I have
      a top of the line Corolla S premium.

    I have owned my 2015 Corolla S for a year now. I am in high school and it is everything I could want and need. Interior is nice and styled good. Bucket seats are comfortable. Fuel economy is absolutely perfect. Couldn't be happier with my Corolla!

    Thanks for a great review minus all the theatrics and baloney that so many reviewers do these days. I learned a lot about this car and it seems fairly obvious why this car is such a great seller. It's not a sports car, wasn't designed to be. It's stylish, reliable, small car that will hold it's value for many years.

    Port Injected engine = no carbon buildup issues like other direct injection engines are having. Just ask any Lexus IS250 owner who has over 100,000 miles if they have any problems with carbon buildup on the intake valves and you will get an ear-full from them. Cost $4,000 just to clean that problem up. Problem with this new Corolla = Roof too low, so when you raise the seat high enough to get a good view of the road, the rear-view mirror gets in the way of your forward vision, even when the mirror is raised right up to the maximum adjustable height. Still, its a reliable car that won't give you any problems. I am a fan of CONVENTIONAL geared automatic transmissions, so I would buy the 'CE' version with the 4-speed automatic. Its not that bad when you try it out yourself. Much better than that horrible CVT automatic on the higher trim lines. I have a hint to help people get OVER the operational sound of a CVT: You know with an outboard motor on a boat; you give it the gas and the boat engine revs right up to the top rpm, but the boat slowly takes time to accelerate up to speed. Well that is how a CVT transmission sounds like. So imagine you are in an outboard motor boat and you will be okay.

    I had one of these as a rental for a few weeks and it was such a boring ride. Well it was a bit scary at times and that livened things up. I was in The Vancouver area and going around the on ramps around Westminster hwy it would resort to under steering. Not much power for merging and noisy on the highway. It did have good fuel economy though.

    I wish they'd ditch the CVT. It's nice they still offer the old reliable 4spd auto, but you can't get keyless entry, and some other basic stuff with the base package 4spd.
    Based on the fact that they have a cvt , i'd just get the Camry with the 6spd auto.

    I know that Toyota Corolla is one of the best selling cars in the United States and a good car, but the exterior makes me hesitant to buy this car. I rather buy 2017 Hyundai Elantra, 2016 Mazda 3, or 2016 Honda Civic. I don't know why Toyota makes such ugly exteriors.

    • @cwqrpportable
      @cwqrpportable 8 років тому +6

    • @yuhoseok47

    • @cwqrpportable
      @cwqrpportable 8 років тому +1

      I guess looks is subjective right Ryu? Honda should fire most of their designers. And this comes from someone who's first Honda was a motorcycle- I bought it in 1969 brand new and it was the Honda 500 Four. Had many since then.....cars and bikes

    • @yuhoseok47
      @yuhoseok47 8 років тому

      +Binder Dundat Yeah looks are subjective. It was also my subjective opinion. But do you know that the 2016 Honda Civic is chosen as the best car of 2016 in the United States? Which means that majority prefers to have. Of course the Toyota Corolla series had been the best compact car of the United States. But not for now.

    • @yuhoseok47
      @yuhoseok47 8 років тому

      +Binder Dundat I also have a 8th generation Honda Civic. I am pretty satisfied with the design of it. This is my subjective opinion. Do not keep it mind. I rather have either a Mazda 3 or a Honda Civic than a Toyotal Corolla

      The Corolla S has a dark interior. The LE is not available in a dark interior. I sat in an S yesterday and drove an LE. It's a nice car to drive, but if I buy one it's going to be an S model. It has some perks the LE does not, and looks and feels much more sporty and refined than the LE. Plus, the "S" model doesn't break the bank either.
      The 2016 Corolla is extremely affordable.

      In 2006 i bought a new Corolla for myself and a new Mazda3 for my wife (we got divorced a year later, so she's my ex-wife now). Anyways, I now have 360,000 kms on my Corolla and except for the wearing out of wipers, tires, brake pads/rotors/drums, and all fluids, the only mechanical things I've had to replace on the car was the battery and the stabilizer links, both of which I replaced myself. Meanwhile, my ex-wife has only 200,000 kms on her Mazda and she has had nothing but problems: In addition to the things I have had to replace on my cas she has also had to replace the following: Failed A/C compressor needed replacing, Engine mount needed replacing, parking brake cables needed replacing, rear shock absorber mounts cracked and needed replacing. Shift linkage on the transmission seized due to corrosion, and needed replacing. Front struts leaking and needed replacing. Extremely severe rust on trunk, around center brake light, requiring entire trunk lid to need replacing.
      So basically: If you want a car that is almost trouble-free, get a Corolla. If you get something else you will end up paying a lot more for that car and have a ton of headaches.

    Every single time I come across a new Corolla with those LED headlights, I get blinded by them. They're poorly aligned from the factory.
    This is a boring looking, noisy as hell, rough riding, cheaply made car, with an antiquated powertrain that sounds like a farm tractor. And the legendary Toyota reliability ? Not so on my 2003 Corolla because the manual transmission on mine broke (input shaft bearing flew apart inside !) with only 140 000 Km on it ! That's why I decided to go with the much better equipped, much quieter, much smoother riding, Hyundai Elantra 2016 recently, and for even less money than this 2016 Corolla with a better warranty coverage too. Toyota is overrated and overpriced today.
