What a perfect little couple's boat! Not cramming in an extra cabin means a nice roomy galley, a proper bathroom with separate shower, and a roomy cabin. Side access is perfect, and salon roomy. All that in a 36' boat. Even had room for seating in the cockpit. What's not to like? Great tour 😊
As someone who lives in Maine I always enjoy seeing some of the beautiful boats made here. Great tour as always nick!
Glad you like them! 🙂
NIck always has the best boat tours ! 👍
That, for me, could almost be my perfect retirement experience. Single guy, simple existence. I’d install so deep freeze somewhere, and I’d be perfectly content
Perfect!
Yep that was a good one
Good point! (I have to talk to my wife…)
You sir would be living your perfect life!
@@ZoliAkiApa Wellllll, I guess she could come, too. 😉
This is one of my favorite tours. The smaller size of the boat allowed us to see everything. Thanks, Nick!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Not sure what you mean because Nick does his best to show everything on every boat, small and large.
Love it when you show the smaller boats. This is something that the middle class could afford and live on if so desired.
Looks like it would be the perfect loop boat here in the U.S.. The woodwork is absolutely beautiful and very well taken care of.
Isn’t it just the prettiest colour wood? Warm and classic. I love it.
you are correct , they are built in Maine USA 👍. nice small boat. good vid
Cool, thanks
A proper 'Pocket Explorer Yacht". Perhaps a trip across the Atlantic is not on your bucket list, but coastal exploration is - then THIS is your new boat. An acknowledgment - this is not a new boat. Rebuttal - there are new boats in worse condition than this 16 year old - it's just reaching maturity. A single person or a 'close couple' will have many hours of pure pleasure just lunching at the dock. Very nice boat. Excellent condition. A very fair price (so long as the survey report agrees). Thanks to all who made this tour possible.
I love the way the Americans cedar line their cabinets to discourage bugs, probably not so necessary over this side of the pond but still a nice touch. Another great tour.
Thank you! 🙂
That’s a lot of boat for the money. One of my favourite boats you’ve featured Nick.
A great boat to own when you don't like having anyone around. Thank you N I'm.
Right from the start a prime example of why your videos are so good Nick. You take the time to explain what various parts are on boats and how they work, not all of us are from a nautical background and I’ve learnt so much from your videos. Thanks Nick,
Glad they're helpful! 🙂
I'm always amazed how these boats on dry land don't topple over just sitting on blocks of wood and a few 2x4's on either side. My engineering mind tells me to NOT get on that boat!! Any vibration and that thing will tip over. Obviously it doesn't but it just looks so delicate. Anyways, another great tour Nick. Greetings from Texas...John B.
I know what you mean, but the vast majority of the weight is through the keel onto solid blocks, all the props are doing is ensuring it stays vertical.
I totally understand you John. They always _seem_ they should be unstable, even though they’re not, but it does seem to go against natural instincts. 😘😘😘
Nice tidy boat. A bit of a change from Cannes and Florida!
This is an AWESOME Looper or Caribbean/Med boat.
I love that it doesn't try to be "too much".
One cabin, one head.
And the engine access is wonderful.
I believe that davit is for the outboard motor for the tender (dingy) . She does have lovely livery on her Nick the colors really pop out. I also love the size 36ft but very roomy inside !
Ahh, that would make sense.
@@AQUAHOLIC The reason I know is because the boat next to me has the same davit on it and I helped her capt . with the outboard lol ! 😊
@@moejaime2654 That would do it! 😃
A little beauty, nice traditional lines and finishes. A nice size for a first boat. Lovely tour Nick thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
Lots of maintenance with all the wood but somehow it really works. It doesn't look old, just comfy cozy. Perfect boat for a couple or single to enjoy life on the water. Love it! Thanks for the tour!
Lovely boat; nearly a realistic possibility. I didn't know anything about these so thank you for enlightening me. Everything I would need.
Thanks Nick! That's a nice little flybridge which appears to be in great condition for its age.
Nice work Nick as always. Good to see a solid and practical cruiser that appeals to many.
BTW the davit serves two main purposes, one is to make the hauling up of the tender easier (once its connected to the pivots on the swim platform they can be awkward and heavy to pull up and over that 90 degrees, plus holds it in place whist you are clipping on the securing struts) and its also used to put the outboard on and off (which you need to do before stowing the tender). The ventilated cockpit locker is obviously where the outboard lives, right under the davit... Practical and welcome back strain protection!
I see Berthon spare no expense on the hardstand cradle / supports, if that was my boat I'd rent a couple of extra sturdier steel frames just to be safe...
Makes sense about the outboard 👍🏻
I have to admit. I do love the reviews of sub 40' boats. I had a 1974 Chris Craft 350 Catalina (that I will regret selling until the day I die) and love seeing what "comparable " boats offer.
I'm rarely impressed by modern boats. Most tend to be a bit of a 'gin-palace' these days. This then, came as a complete surprise! What a superb boat! All that glorious woodwork, a real 'gentleman's club' feel to it. All round, an really well proportioned, well equipped boat for a couple with a mind to go a-sailing and exploring. Looks as if it's very capable too; with plenty of room for provisions to get away for a month at sea. I'd be inclined to add a water-maker and a couple of solar panels fitted on the aft hardtop; but that's just me. I really could be very happy with this one. An excellent tour as always, I think I might just pick up the phone.... Thanks Nick
Tell them I sent you! 😄
@@AQUAHOLIC: of course
Nice boat. I really like that you can drop the mast, giving some inland options
Yep that would suit me perfectly. Great tour as ever Nick and glad you found the anchor chain. It would have distracted me all day otherwise 😀
That has to be the best boat I have seen in ages
Stunning tour as always
Many thanks!
I like it, really good proportions for only 36', love seeing boats that are closer to my actual real life budget! Keep them coming :)
The amount of wood is AWSOME. This would be perfect for a single person or couple with no children who can maintain the hardware on board on thier own. Everything is accessible. Nice.
Definitely compact enough to be looked after by a single or a couple on _their_ own. Lovely colour wood too.
Fun to see you play let's find the anchor locker, Nick!😂🤣I was wondering it myself! Thanks!👍👍
Thank you Nick
Nicely laid out you’re right 1 larger cabin with galley seems to be the best use of space
Good power too
Have yourself a great week.
Thanks, you too!
Great boat for “The Loop”. Another great tour!
Many thanks!
Great tour of a very impressive boat. Plenty to like and plenty there for a 36’er.
Lovely little ship. I did notice a hinge on the base of the mast that likely keeps the air draft under 16 feet and it looks like the draft itself is rather shallow well under 4 feet. Great coastal cruiser able to forge canals. Thanks Nick for bringing this capable beauty to light for your viewers.
Lovely boat. Wonderful tour. Perfect size to make the Great Loop.
Yeah I do like the interior of that boat for some reason it's real soothing to the eye
Would love to see some more sailing yachts , as always, thank you for the great boat tours !
I filmed the most beautiful sailing boat I've ever seen whilst I was there - stay tuned for that! 🙂
@@AQUAHOLIC I'm excited ! 🤗
Just an opposing view: I am not interested in sailing boats at all.
@@kokomo9764 and i like to see both.
I’ll look at all of those AND the flying boats, when that time will come.
A real little ship feel to that, lovely real solidly built cruiser. I could see myself casting off in that little beauty. I really like that, a lot . More of the same please Nick 👍
What a lovely boat! Thanks Nick - as you said for a couple, just perfect!
Dream - yes have have the sunseeker in the med but have something like this in Devon. Best of both worlds!
Oh I do like this one, perfect sort of size and as you said the quality is superb. I could definitely see myself on this! Amazing tour thanks Nick.
You're very welcome! 🙂
Nick I am really taken with this boat, everything you need for a weekend out and nothing you don't. I wholeheartedly agree with having one large cabin and a livable loo versus cramming in a second cabin. Fantastic tour as always Nick!
Thank you! 🙂
Ha! I love that when you were pointing and talking about pairing the gauges it didn't match! Something broken there I think
Nope, ignitions were off so the gauges just point randomly. As soon as the ignition is turned on they power up and point where they should.
That is a cute and nice little boat that would work out for an individual or a couple
A lovely boat for a couple , nice quality, thanks for the upload.
Our pleasure!
Nick needs to review the new model Sabres... They are simply stunning boats. They are so improved from this model/year it's not even funny.
Thanks for the great tour. What a fantastic boat for a couple! I picture myself spending weeks on this beauty up and around the Puget Sound and the San Juan Islands... PURE Heaven!
Our pleasure!
What a wonderful boat! Great size for two, and very well kept.
Hi Nick. A traditional interior and useable space aboard. Great starter boat. Cool video thanks 😊
Thanks for watching!
Nice boat. Being American, nice wide helm seats too.
"Bleep" "Bleep" - so we have "chunky" seats eh? LOL! Aloha and Mahalo - lovely vessel.
Hey Nick this was a very interesting boat and as you said perfect for two people and would be great as a live aboard I especially like the flybridge and the hard top over the cockpit (sorry but the 5 year old child in me giggles every time I type that) great tour as always you give us such a wide variety of boats/yachts and motorhomes, have a great day bud
Thanks, you too! 😃
That's plenty of kit for the price! Nice tour as always, Nick!
Thanks! 👍
I love these types of Yachts, great stuff Nick!
Beautiful boat and video! Thanks for the tour!
Thanks for watching it! 🙂
What a dream. Of all the boat i have seen true the years i have been looking for my families dream
Nice 2 person very well equipped fun weekender.
Nice to see them out of the water so you can show the business side, shall we say the side that Carrie’s all the load? Very nice boat, really like that heritage look!
A really nice boat great engine access as you said you’ve had worse on larger boats. This is you and Marianne when you hit a certain age😁😁 I must say some of these old designs are great.
Hi Nick, Now thats a rare find in Europe but still a amazing boat to see this Sabre 36 Sedan Flybridge mostly I see them on Amercan you tube Chanels great, that its is now also on your tube I like the wood finish inside and the Yanmar engines what a great show to start this new week thanks again Nick
Glad you enjoyed it
I am loving this. Ticks all my boxes.
I agree with those who suggested the davit is for the tender's outboard - I have a tender on snap davits, and I fitted a similar davit to make handling the outboard much easier.
Oh, wow! It was worth not sleeping on account of sick dogs after all!
(I mean, they deserve care too) :)
Cheers!
Another nice boat ⛵️🛥🚤⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍👍👍👍
What a beautifully clean and superbly maintained little ship! Full marks to the previous owner(s).
Cor! Just like me, small but perfectly formed.
Great presentation on this little boat! Love that you keep in your little bloopers!
Glad you enjoyed it!
A nice little starter boat for someone.
Thanks Nick!
Hi Nick, a great simple no fuss boat and as you know I always prefer galley down 😎 Cheers DougT
Clean looking boat for its age and what it offers, as always so superbly presented! Looks rather precariously positioned... Keep up the great video inspections Nick and all the best for the coming of the festive season!
Thanks, you too!
Lovely woodwork!
Pretty decent engine room great job owner! 👍👍
I would replace that kitchen area with second cabin. Then move saloon rear wall some 1 metre back, which creates space for kitchen at saloon level. Also front area, cabin roof window to make level with surface around it so you can create some cushion area for sunbathing.
Lovely boat. Just the sort of thing I'd go for.
Looks like the radar mast is also hinged. Maybe to get under bridges?
Many months passed. And i still read your name "Alcoholic". I cant help it.
🥂
A new catch phrase!
"Make it go 'bleep!'"
That's really nice, it's my kind of boat.
I like this. I'd stock up on loads of food and take myself off somewhere quiet for a few weeks or longer just me and my cat.
nice bit of kit great tour as always, Nick think that davit is to lift a outboard on and off the dingy. looking forward to the cara marine tour keep up the great work. Greg
That makes sense!
I'm sure it is utterly secure but seeing the way these boats are perched up on bricks and wooden supports will never not give me the absolute fear.
Hello. Beautiful boat! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🛥🛥🛥🛥🛥🛥
The Boat is made in Maine maybe the davit crane is not only for lifting the boat but also Lobster & Crab Pots at least I know I would Nick "CHEERS!"
Davit is for lifting the outboard off before swinging the dinghy up on the weaver Davits..
Nice one Nick looks great value for the money, good sturdy boat and looks solid and well made, could you go to Spain in it ?
This boat would be perfect if they found a way for a rear cabin. The ubiquitous Bayliner 3288 did it with a KING bed and still managed twin diesels on shaft drives. Also the Botnia boats!
I take it that's a steel hole cruiser remember that Dutch one you showed us that had a similar paint scheme I thought it was made by that company but it's an American made one which is just fine they can make good boats too
Nice fly bridge! 👍👍
that marina must not get hurricanes , blocking the boat that high on 4x4 ! wow ! nice boat
So they basically store the cockpits furniture in the salon against the bulkhead usually it's stored underneath the hatch for the engine room well it makes it easy to get to
Love your yacht tours Nick !
Thank you!!
For your interest and further education , the 'Ceiling' on a boat/ship is referred to as the deckhead , OK
sabre make a fantastic boat. very capable.
Nice boat! Thanks for sharing! 👍👍
Thanks for watching! 🙂
@@AQUAHOLIC 👍👍
Nice boat for a couple!
I think I'm seeing an evolutionary step from ladder to stairs.
A great tour Nick - but then all of your tours are great, Marianne is teaching you well!
She's very patient! 😄
I like this very much!
Great yacht for 2 or an occasional 4!!!!
Take the canopy off the back and it reminds me of the boat from JAWS. lol A bit nicer however. I'd be happy with it.
Honestly I like this tour more than a tour of the 153rd, white boring superyacht.
Well you know where the owner usually drove the boat from by the chartplotter up on the fly bridge is brand new and the one in the wheelhouse is the original that tells you where he likes to drive from
