I AGREE LEMONADE MOUTH SHOULD'VE BEEN CAMP ROCK LEVEL ICONIC. I love how it's getting all the hype now, 10 years later
Yesssss
It is
I loved it since day 1
Camp rock and lemonade mouth were my fave movie series
They should’ve made more band related movies
It’s better than camp rock
Bridgit Mendler is currently a PhD student at MIT. She's so underrated and talented. I'd love to see a follow-up reaction of Hayley Kiyoko now vs. her Disney days haha
She is?! Do you know what she's studying??
Bridgit Mendler is also working towards a masters degree(i believe) at Harvard Law!
@@Melissa-vf2zc that’s amazing she’s both incredibly talented and incredibly intelligent, I do wish that we got some more music from her because her voice is gorgeous but I’m so happy for her and I know she’s gonna be an amazing lawyer or whatever she choses to do
Lolzi!!!
she’s amazing!! i still listen to her music til this day 🙌🏻
Olivia: Queen of vocals and random trauma dumping 😭🥺 the way she carried Disney channel for a minute and they still slept on her
Lemonade Mouth is my absolute favorite DCOM which should've been much more popular and 'She's So Gone' is one of the greatest songs I've ever heard, no one can change my mind.
I’m a high school teacher and I overheard one of my students listening to it and I was like YASSSS girl turn that up! It’s one of my pump up songs in the car lol
She's so gone and determinate are in playlists because YES. This movie should've been bigger.
“It’s so corny and I love it” me watching any Disney movie ever. It’s just a comfort place honestly. Can lift any bad mood I have
Samee
exactlyy
Yes it really is
Yes alot of disney movies are cringe but I love them theyake me laugh
Any Disney and just about any hallmark movie
Fun fact time, Hannah- the goal with the lemonade wasn't that it was bad but it was supposed to be really sour. So to get that authentic pucker face they used straight up lemon juice instead of lemonade. So while the actors may have hated it, the characters are supposed to love it because it's unique (not too sweet like other lemonades are...it's the angst thing)
Organic lemonade is usually a little sour, at least in the first few sips
Fun fact time, the guy who played Wen got arrested for robbery
@@TheNuggetMasterGaming damn was wondering when someone would say it
@@TheNuggetMasterGaming armed robbery to be exact, and the video is on UA-cam
@@TheNuggetMasterGaming wow
"Hannah Bayles complimenting Bridget Medler for 30 minutes" which like I 100% get cause ready or not is a freaking jam!
Bridget Mendler has a PHENOMENAL voice honestly.
Also the way Hayley (Stella) moves the guitar as she slides during Determinate will forever be my favorite thing
I love how she didn't notice that Naomi is Jasmine, naomi is perfect she played two completely different roles
I was thinking the same thing..
same😂
Wow I did not know that until right now..
Naomi was 18 at the time it was filmed and faces do change a lot going from teen to adult
@@alextheaxolotl3031 But Naomi hasn't changed, she still has the same face, she just got older.
Lemonade Mouth is undoubtedly one of the best DCOM Musicals that Disney has produced
Edit: Wow thanks for all the likes guys I wasn’t even expecting anyone to like my comment but I’m glad people agree with me
Edit: 2 wow 1.6k likes that’s insane thx everyone
*THAT IS SUCH FAXXX*
it's literally so nostalgic oml
@@Angel.Stay.Moa.Engene I frickin know right
@@Angel.Stay.Moa.Engene plus it’s better than the DCOMS that they’re coming out with today
Unpopular opinion, but as much as I love HSM, I think this one is so much better.
ikr this one and let it shine were so good
The girl who sang She’s So Gone has a really good voice and it is even more showcased in the live action version of Aladdin in the song Speechless.
“Is it a big deal? No. Am I still complaining about it? Yes.” Is such a relatable statement to me lmao
This, Starstruck, and Let it shine are some of the most iconic and most underrated Disney movies!!
Agreed! I love those ones
Yesss! And the soundtrack for these movies all slap too! 👏🏽
Pixel Perfect! Yes, I am THAT old.
YES !!! and I’m so glad those were part of my childhood !!!
OMG YES MY FAVORITE ONES
The girl who sang “She's So Gone” is played by Naomi Scott, she's in the live action of Aladdin and has a solo called “Speechless”, it's really good and I think it deserves a react!!
Thats Naomi Scott? D:
@@lecturaslunares926 yessss!!
@@lecturaslunares926 yup that’s Naomi Scott
I liked that song
💯💯
Hannah losing it at the “my dad’s in prison” line is the *reason* I subscribed.
This will always be one of the best and most underrated DCOMs. Also, fun fact: when they’re at the battle of the bands, the cast really got emotional hearing the crowd sing “Determinate” because it was the first time they heard it sung by anyone else as a whole. Bridgit got especially emotional.
I feel like Stella was frustrated about the misplaced funding and rebranding taking place in the school and used the lemonade as a point of focus. This is really interesting because it makes the "narcissistic boyfriend" a different type of secondary villain, because the Lemonade Mouth band is promoting a cause to get more funding on music and performing arts at their school, something that he should be promoting as well.
Definitely agree. She was kind of identifying with the lemonade machine because it was cast off to the basement for not fitting into the school's mold of what was accepted, just like her, her friends, and the other clubs there. "It's not about the Iranian Yogurt," as the redditors say.
That's pretty much it exactly. The band's cause was getting funding for the arts and various clubs in a school that only gave a damn about football and building a new stadium.
It wasn't until my *mumble* rewatch that I noticed the ads for the sports drink are EVERYWHERE. Disney took the "organic little guy being beaten out by big business" and the "group of misfits who fight the mainstream" tropes and smashed them together very hard. (Again, 2011) Ironically by the end of the movie, there are huge light board ads with LM logos. Then the bonus video a few folks have referenced is a montage of the band making hand painted ads, to show they aren't the mainstream. And the resolution is literally "Yeah, the sports drink owns the school, but now another brand has bought us an arts department, so they can own that!"
Fun fact: Mo is played by Naomi Scott who also played Jasmine in the live action Aladdin 🥰
And let’s not forget Power Rangers(2017) she was Kimberly Hart and was one of the three leads in Charlie’s Angels(2019) her career is so close to being an A-lister.
@@duvall5jd definitely
@@duvall5jd you hit me right in the feels because of you mentioning that she was Kimberly aka the Pink Ranger in the 2017 Power Rangers movie
And Haley Kiyoko was Stevie in Wizards of Waverly Place
Lemonade mouth was SOOOO underrated. One of my favorites! And I still listen to Brigitte on a regular basis. Hurricane?! Yes!!
"Why is she on a table?"
Idk bro but it was a flashpoint for 12-year-old Megan like something shifted in the universe
Adam Hicks who played Wen actually helped write three of the songs from the movie and wrote those rap breaks himself. He was one of the first Disney channel OG movie stars who got to help write music.
That’s awesome!! I had no idea😁
too bad he commited all those robberies and went to prison. He's out on parole now tho
@@josephinetracey4444 holy shit I thought this was a joke that is so insane
@@josephinetracey4444what’s funny (not funny) is that a few months prior or after he committed those crimes he posted a reel of him doing the rap lmao
9:52 “it’s so corny and I love it” is exactly the appeal of Lemonade Mouth.
Writing wise, this is a TERRIBLE movie but you really can’t help but to love it
I'm not sure what makes it terrible writing wise, but I felt it made sense and the message/plot is very fitting of the times. The arts are losing their funding while athletics are getting more funding than they need. And that's the cause of the main characters, with the lemonade as a focal point since the machine was right outside the detention room and it was what they bonded over.
@@passionsquietrage yah, the message was great and easy to follow but the actual dialogue was clunky. Any moment where you think “who says that???” Or “why’d that just happen???” Is mediocre writing.
Good examples would be when they couldn’t play at the restaurant bc Ray was causing a scene. Like it was obviously his fault and all you get reasoning wise was a stern look from the owner. Another example is when Olivia says that her dad is in prison. It comes SO MUCH out of no where that Hannah laughing was a fair reaction to it.
@@TheLoserface45 They were all talking about their relationships with their parents/siblings, how was that out of nowhere? Sometimes random things happen or get said, that doesn't mean it's written badly.
@@passionsquietrage okay listen. I love this movie. It’s vastly under rated as a Disney Channel Original but imma call it out for what it is.
How bout when Wen saw that Sydney was moving in? For one thing, it said “Sydney” everywhere he looked. And he knew his dad was in a relationship that was more serious than he’d like. You’d think that would be the FIRST thing Wen thought seeing boxes. That’s bad writing( Or directing). If Wen came in and asked “what’s all this?” Already knowing what it was and being angry instead of gleefully curious as he was in the final cut, then it’d be fine.
@@TheLoserface45 So because Wen didn't see the boxes and automatically flip out, it's bad writing?
Hannah, I just love the hell out of you. I was ROLLING when you were like “He just pulled a live kitten out of his pocket??”
This was literally the movie that shaped my whole life. I remember being in love with Stella, and all the songs were some of the first songs that really made me love singing.
This is such a classic movie the songs and everything about it is just simply iconic
She's so gone is the most iconic thing lol
Yessssss
Truee
this video should be titled “hannah bayles being a bridgit mendler stan for 30 minutes straight”
Haha it's true😂
The girl who sings “she is so gone” is the same actress in Aladdin. I remember you reached to “speechless”. Her name is Naomi Scott and she is such a good singer
Fun fact/ recommendation: Mo ( the girl with the toxic bf who did classical music) is Naomi Scott: who is in the live version Aladdin. She sings so good in it so I recommend you to review it if you haven’t yet!!
The amount of times we asked her to react to this is unbelievable 😂😂 Thank you Hannah for hearing our wishes🙌🏻
I did too I am so happy she finally reacted
I definitely submitted that form multiple times 😂 glad she listened to us
"Why is she on the table?"
Because that, my dear, is a performance! Lol
Tori Vega is that you???
Olivia was so nervous and then as soon as she started singing determinate her confidence just came through so happy for her💛💛💛
Yeah it did
I love Bridgit so so much. She came out with an album after Disney a few years ago. The vibe is COMPLETELY different, and I’m all for it. Please give it a listen and react!
I love how Hannah both does some commentary on the movies she reacts to and also comments on the vocals in songs. It makes you feel like you're watching a movie with your friends on a friday
...if your friend was an ultra talented voice teacher
Yes
Bridget Mendler's singing was always so underrated. I've always been sad her music never took off, but hope she's happy whatever she's doing now. 💜
wonder why
She's working on her PhD at MIT
I agree. I jam out to her all the time
She’s studying law :) she has a new passion
@@jazzcl7 tbh after Demi and Selena, none of Disney’s future singers really took off (Olivia Rondrigo is an exception but she got where she is without Disney I would argue)
lemonade mouth is one of those teen movies that just.... it stays just as amazing over time simply because of the music
I will say as a musician, people don’t realize that if you’re skilled enough and know enough music, it is actually quite possible to improvise a song. We would jam out and create whole songs in my old band randomly together all the time 😂.
Standard chord progressions and knowledge of basic structure goes a long way. Obviously not to the degree as shown in the show but it’s not far off
I feel like this is the most underrated Disney Channel Original movie, hands down! Also, you didn’t realize or at least say anything, but Stella was Hayley Kiyoko and Mo was Naomi Scott lol Lastly, idk if it was a director’s cut on the dvd or what but you HAVE to react to Livin’ On A High Wire!!! It’s one of, if not, the best Lemonade Mouth song!😁
To what lemonade song?? This is literally the first I’m hearing of this
@@hanaomer4419 it’s called Livin’ On A High Wire. There’s an extra scene I think in the credits where they’re on a talk show and then perform the song. It’s on the original soundtrack as well.
@@ItsClarkbar yasss, I know what you're talking about
Love that song
She's So Gone is supposed to be about her breaking free from her past and becoming her true self. Looking at her reflection is her coming to terms with herself now.
It is it is, and that's why is iconic💜🌹
i think hannah gets that, but it's just done in a classic corny disney channel way, by looking into the reflection of the napkin holder in the middle of her performance, and hannah couldn't get past it, aha.
it was giving Troy Bolton looking at his own reflection in hsm2💀💀
@@farter3644 😂😂 omg yes! It really does haha
The teacher (Tisha Campbell) was part of the chorus from little shop of horrors as a young teen and released music in the 90’s and is an amazing actress now
WHEN SHE SAID GWEN WAS HOLDING THE KITTEN LIKE A BURRITO I DIED-
There's actually a deleted scene or an extra scene to the movie on DVD of another song they sing on a TV show. The songs called 'Living on a high wire' and its also an amazing song, you should definitely check it out Hannah 😊
Wasn't that extra scene the real end though, it was shown on TV 🤔
@@jessicaelle0988 it might have been during the end credits. I remember it in the movie but I know some friends who had never seen it in the movie and i had to show it to them. So I don't know exactly whether I saw it on the DVD or if it was an end credits scene that I saw on TV. Or maybe i saw them on both once I knew that that scene was in the movie.
Yeah honestly Livin' on a High Wire is my personal favorite from the soundtrack and it has absolutely no right to go as hard as it does
I love that song so much! It’s like extended edition
Yes that song is amazing 👏
Bridget: “I’m so glad to have our friendship”
Hannah: It’s been three weeks
True, but it's the quality of the friendship that matters, not how long you've known someone.
yeah, the people I considered my best friends in my life I usually started considering them that soon after we met
yeah plus they're her only friends
Exactly. It’s all about how a friendship is.
Friends care about one another.
People can usually tell within weeks of the quality of the friendship
hard agree but I also burst out laughing at the way Hannah whispered it
It's high school, so...
The teacher is an amazing actress I grew up watching her on “Martin” she played Gina I never realized she did a Disney movie till now even though I’ve seen lemonade mouth twice.
4:16 unfortunately my high school is small enough for that to happen 🤣
I love how she is like having a conversation with the movie " oh no is he dead" then Charlie saying basically the same thing, "why are you crying you live with that cat don't you" then Olivia answering her questions
Hannah laughing at all the wrong moments is literally me trying to deal with emotions😭
Naomi Scot who played Jasmine is on point and Bridget mandler so underrated people love them
you need to watch the extended version with the interview at the end, gives a nice update with the characters but agree it was very underated, but i loved and still love it
Bridget: “I’m so glad to have our friendship”
Hannah: It’s been three weeks
Bridget “ my dads in prison”
Hannah “uh oh “

By far my favorite part of the video
At the end forget that he’s in prison
same here, we had the same reaction and he laugh made me start laughing🤣
Yeah it was funny n cute. She knew was about to laugh at something that should b sad and thought out loud "uh oh" before she couldn't hold it in any longer 😆

I have truly spent the last 3 1/2 hours watching your videos that I came across on accident. However I truly love your comments. You definitely make me laugh and have such a great personality. I don't sing, but I'm definitely learning a lot.

The ginger guy and Haley Kiyoko are both professional dancers. Haley Kiyoko is also a queer music icon. She did some lesbian pop music with other Disney Channel stars. (Plus, Haley Kiyoko was Velma in the original live-action Scooby-Doo.) I also heard that Brigit Mendler wrote all of the songs for this movie?

You aren’t wrong but I thought her parts in A Whole New World were pretty awesome
IKR she's so iconic
Not gonna lie, she's the reason I watched Aladdin. I mean, I love Lemonade Mouth and I think she already was amazing singing "She's so gone". With "Speechless" she truly left me speechless
More Than a Band is a beautiful song. I enjoyed reexperiencing this movie and all the music in it. This one is on my playlist and one of the lyrics in it is "I've always wanted the home that you are" which I think is just beautiful 💛

I would definitely recommend listening to Hayley Kiyoko's music who plays Stella in this. Her voice is amazing and her songs are bops. Also fun fact Mo and Charlie were going to end up together however the actor who plays Charlie he was like 14 when they filmed it so yeah no joke so the age difference between the two actors stopped that from happening.

Just pausing the video to say your commentary is cracking me up in this video 😂 the reaction to Naomi laying on the table, the egg shaker, Olivia’s dad being in prison…this movie had depth
The fact that you balance voice coach advice with life coach advice in your videos 😄👏🏻
You didn't recognize Princess Jasmine? Naomi's voice has really developed. She's good here, but she sounds amazing in Speechless. I find that sound so difficult to sing. And yes, love Bridgit's voice, I think she's super underrated.
Yessss, I hope she reacts to that nexttt
I was screaming at the SCREEN. That’s Princess Jasmine lol
yess she has to react to speechless!!
I found Speechless to be an unnecessary song (she was already established as a strong character in both versions), but it was still good. Naomi's voice has become Top Tier.
She’s so gone was on our warm up playlist this volleyball season and we jammed hard every time without fail. We didn’t care how many people were in the stands we continued to rock out
I love so much the fact that this movie is finally been seen as gem for everyone else
I’ve been completely obsessed with this movie since the first time I saw it and heard the songs. I watch it once every couple of weeks/months or go on UA-cam to listen to the songs because I just love them so much!!! You’re absolutely right, this movie did not get the credit it deserved/deserves. It’s really really good in my opinion. Cheesy at times but the songs, music and talent and sweet moments make up for that
bridgit is so underrated. she’s SO talented and intelligent, like she can write hurricane and she can work on her PhD at massachusetts institute of technology AND take harvard law school classes. love love love her !
Naomi Scott plays Moe in this film and she's also princess jasmine in the live action of Aladin, I really love her voice. I believe Brigitte didn't get the recognition she deserved back then and she has kinda desapaers now, that's sad.
she's disappeared because she just stepped down from the spotlight to study, on her linkedin and wikipedia page it tells you that.
And even better Naomi Scott was was Kimberly Hart in Power Rangers(2017) and Power Rangers is such a fun franchise. Naomi was also in Charlie’s Angels (2019) which was good. She had a very promising career. It just hasn’t taken off to the stratosphere.
This is the hardest I’ve laughed at a reaction video in a while, thank you Hannah for 30 minutes of hilarity, and great video as usual😂❤️

Thank you for reacting to my entire childhood right here! With this movie and with your reactions to High School Musical, The Cheetah Girls, Camp Rock etc.
But Lemonade Mouth in particular is one of my favorite Disney Channel Original Movies of all time! And I still unironically love this soundtrack to this day!!!
Highly recommend Teen Beach Movie 1 and 2. When it first came out it was popular but I feel that over time it has been forgotten. Ross Lynch and Maia Mitchell do such an incredible job so I’d love to see you react to it.
I feel like Lemonade Mouth suffered from the era it was released in. In the early 00s, nearly every DCOM was treated as a major event in itself. Then HSM hit, and suddenly only the musical films got any kind of hype behind them. Camp Rock benefitted from releasing during the peak of the musical era, but Camp Rock 2 rode the last bit of steam from that hype train, leaving Lemonade Mouth to release in an age where viewers had become fatigued on TV musicals after five years of not just Disney, but other networks as well trying to cash in (this was also the year Glee's viewership began to dip). Teen Beach tried to revive the trend, but it wasn't until Descendants that Disney finally struck gold again.
God, I love this, but I was waiting for a mention about Hayley Kyoko. She was the one playing Stella and today she´s one of the most iconic lesbian singers out there. Most of her songs are sapphic songs. Listen to her album Expectations, it´s amazing.
Would it be too much to ask for Hayley Kyoko and Naomi Scott to be cast as leads in some sort of a musical movie and sing a duet together
lemonade mouth and teen beach movie were my childhood. the songs are just immaculate in every way
Lemonade mouth is always going to have a place in me and my family’s hearts
You should check out the "Livin on a Highwire" bonus song from the movie. You can find it on UA-cam. Naomi and Bridgit's voices go nuclear on that track. Also thank you for you vocal course it's been helping be "get my voice back". Thank you.
Yup you aren’t wrong about that regarding their performance
YESSS I WAS THINKING THE SAME, THAT SONG IS SO GOOD
That sound hardly even sounds like it's from a Disney movie

"It's so corny but I love it" is exactly how every fan of this movie feels.
Very upset Hannah did not stick around for the after credit scene because livin on a high wire is ICONIC
