That's pretty much it exactly. The band's cause was getting funding for the arts and various clubs in a school that only gave a damn about football and building a new stadium.

The ginger guy and Haley Kiyoko are both professional dancers. Haley Kiyoko is also a queer music icon. She did some lesbian pop music with other Disney Channel stars. (Plus, Haley Kiyoko was Velma in the original live-action Scooby-Doo.) I also heard that Brigit Mendler wrote all of the songs for this movie?
Mo is Naomi Scott, who played Jasmine in the most recent live action Aladdin. Her “speechless” performance in the movie is amazing and she did it live on set. It’s the best part of the movie.
Not gonna lie, she's the reason I watched Aladdin. I mean, I love Lemonade Mouth and I think she already was amazing singing "She's so gone". With "Speechless" she truly left me speechless
bridget and naomi scott are still close! naomi was a bridesmaid at her wedding. and actress that plays Stella is Hayley Kiyoko, she has a pretty successful music career on her own for a couple years now and i recc her songs! the song she’s most known for is Girls Like Girls

I would definitely recommend listening to Hayley Kiyoko's music who plays Stella in this. Her voice is amazing and her songs are bops. Also fun fact Mo and Charlie were going to end up together however the actor who plays Charlie he was like 14 when they filmed it so yeah no joke so the age difference between the two actors stopped that from happening.
@@tapangawashington6878 That’s still a pretty questionable age gap at 14 and 17 vs 25 and 28. Especially since age of consent is 16/17 in a lot of states.

as someone that is part of the lgbt comunity and watched this movie when it came out (i was 12), both stella as a character (hayley kiyoko ftw) and the "she's so gone" part were what slowly guided me towards my queer awakening lmao i will always keep this movie and its song in my heart 🥺
I will say as a musician, people don’t realize that if you’re skilled enough and know enough music, it is actually quite possible to improvise a song. We would jam out and create whole songs in my old band randomly together all the time 😂. Standard chord progressions and knowledge of basic structure goes a long way. Obviously not to the degree as shown in the show but it’s not far off
Okay, lets be honest - "I like it when you smile" gave so many more butterflies than a kiss would have. Also, I think the girl at 18:58 (idk her name either) was Jasmine in the newer Aladdin movie.
You didn't recognize Princess Jasmine? Naomi's voice has really developed. She's good here, but she sounds amazing in Speechless. I find that sound so difficult to sing. And yes, love Bridgit's voice, I think she's super underrated.
I found Speechless to be an unnecessary song (she was already established as a strong character in both versions), but it was still good. Naomi's voice has become Top Tier.
you need to watch the extended version with the interview at the end, gives a nice update with the characters but agree it was very underated, but i loved and still love it
God, I love this, but I was waiting for a mention about Hayley Kyoko. She was the one playing Stella and today she´s one of the most iconic lesbian singers out there. Most of her songs are sapphic songs. Listen to her album Expectations, it´s amazing.
Lemonade Mouth is my absolute favorite Disney Channel Original! I have my 8 year old daughter hooked on the movie too. She loves to rock out to the cd in the car. I also have the album on my phone so I Bluetooth it through in my other car also. We rock out to it a lot!
I feel like Lemonade Mouth suffered from the era it was released in. In the early 00s, nearly every DCOM was treated as a major event in itself. Then HSM hit, and suddenly only the musical films got any kind of hype behind them. Camp Rock benefitted from releasing during the peak of the musical era, but Camp Rock 2 rode the last bit of steam from that hype train, leaving Lemonade Mouth to release in an age where viewers had become fatigued on TV musicals after five years of not just Disney, but other networks as well trying to cash in (this was also the year Glee's viewership began to dip). Teen Beach tried to revive the trend, but it wasn't until Descendants that Disney finally struck gold again.
Bridget Mendler is so underrated. I loved her for years and I still do ! She deserved to be just as popular as Demi , Selena and Miley. I wish she continued with her music career !!!

@Jasmine N. I believe it was her decision to stop acting for a while because she was studying to become a doctor or something similar to that but I also heard recently that Bridgit is making her own movies. On the other hand, she is doing amazing I may be wrong but that’s what I heard
Daniel. Bridgit graduated with an anthropology major at USC and continued her research throughout her time at MIT. Currently, she's a director's fellow working with MIT's Center for Constructive Communications and Social Machines and is simultaneously enrolled at Harvard Law School. She takes in acting projects from time to time with different filming productions.
Naomi Scott plays Moe in this film and she's also princess jasmine in the live action of Aladin, I really love her voice. I believe Brigitte didn't get the recognition she deserved back then and she has kinda desapaers now, that's sad.
And even better Naomi Scott was was Kimberly Hart in Power Rangers(2017) and Power Rangers is such a fun franchise. Naomi was also in Charlie’s Angels (2019) which was good. She had a very promising career. It just hasn’t taken off to the stratosphere.

I love that song so much! It’s like extended edition
Yes that song is amazing 👏
I love Bridgit so so much. She came out with an album after Disney a few years ago. The vibe is COMPLETELY different, and I’m all for it. Please give it a listen and react!
this video should be titled “hannah bayles being a bridgit mendler stan for 30 minutes straight”
Haha it's true😂
I don't care what anyone says, She's so gone got me through some STUFF and I still tear up every time Olivia says the family stuff to Wen
Fun fact/ recommendation: Mo ( the girl with the toxic bf who did classical music) is Naomi Scott: who is in the live version Aladdin. She sings so good in it so I recommend you to review it if you haven’t yet!!
I feel like this is the most underrated Disney Channel Original movie, hands down! Also, you didn’t realize or at least say anything, but Stella was Hayley Kiyoko and Mo was Naomi Scott lol Lastly, idk if it was a director’s cut on the dvd or what but you HAVE to react to Livin’ On A High Wire!!! It’s one of, if not, the best Lemonade Mouth song!😁
To what lemonade song?? This is literally the first I’m hearing of this
@@hanaomer4419 it’s called Livin’ On A High Wire. There’s an extra scene I think in the credits where they’re on a talk show and then perform the song. It’s on the original soundtrack as well.
@@ItsClarkbar yasss, I know what you're talking about
Love that song
Bridget: “I’m so glad to have our friendship”
Hannah: It’s been three weeks
lemonade mouth is one of those teen movies that just.... it stays just as amazing over time simply because of the music
I love Hayley Kiyoko, Bridget Mendler, and Naomi Scott so much! They are all so talented :)
She should react to Hayley
@@vitoriak.5988 Ooh I agree!
This was Camp Rock for the in between generation. Generations go through cycles, and this hit an audience smack in the middle of two different generations. It will go down in history as the last good Disney Channel Original Movie.
Ngl I think I like this better than camp rock. I grew up on both and don’t get me wrong camp rock was my childhood but this is different
Okay but Teen Beack Movies bruh 😎
@@katelynncheyanne2937 fair. But not as good.
Then the Descendants was for the next generation
The girl who sings “she is so gone” is the same actress in Aladdin. I remember you reached to “speechless”. Her name is Naomi Scott and she is such a good singer
Bridget “ my dads in prison”
Hannah “uh oh “
Proceeds to die laughing
By far my favorite part of the video
At the end forget that he’s in prison
same here, we had the same reaction and he laugh made me start laughing🤣
Yeah it was funny n cute. She knew was about to laugh at something that should b sad and thought out loud "uh oh" before she couldn't hold it in any longer 😆
literally meee i was just about to comment this then something told me to check to see if someone already commented it i have been laughing for a good five minutes my head hurts idek why its so funny
I’d defo say that lemonade mouth and Starstruck are the best DCOM musicals (other than the super icon ones like HSM and camp rock obvs) if you haven’t seen starstruck, would highly recommend 😊
I still love starstruck in my late 20s tbh sooo good
yesss starstruck is soooo underrated !!
Yooo!!! I didn’t think anyone else loved Starstruck!!! That is fav DCOM by far, the soundtrack is amazing!
and let it shine too (imo)!!
@@chioji9540Let it Shine is so good musically
The ginger guy and Haley Kiyoko are both professional dancers. Haley Kiyoko is also a queer music icon. She did some lesbian pop music with other Disney Channel stars. (Plus, Haley Kiyoko was Velma in the original live-action Scooby-Doo.) I also heard that Brigit Mendler wrote all of the songs for this movie?
It’s not the original live action tho
Mo is Naomi Scott, who played Jasmine in the most recent live action Aladdin. Her “speechless” performance in the movie is amazing and she did it live on set. It’s the best part of the movie.
You aren’t wrong but I thought her parts in A Whole New World were pretty awesome
Not gonna lie, she's the reason I watched Aladdin. I mean, I love Lemonade Mouth and I think she already was amazing singing "She's so gone". With "Speechless" she truly left me speechless
the best disney channel original ever, the only disney musical that still holds up
A lot of them still hold up lmao
@@jayngb not for me, but i’m glad you still enjoy them, wish i still did 😅
Fr lol no offense but high school musical did not age well. Camp Rock is okay but that movie is overall cringe to me
You said it
Yes
Olivia was so nervous and then as soon as she started singing determinate her confidence just came through so happy for her💛💛💛
Yeah it did
bridget and naomi scott are still close! naomi was a bridesmaid at her wedding.
and actress that plays Stella is Hayley Kiyoko, she has a pretty successful music career on her own for a couple years now and i recc her songs! the song she’s most known for is Girls Like Girls
7:06 Turn Up The Music
9:40 Somebody
15:32 Determinate
18:55 She’s so gone
20:33 More than a band
23:38 Turn up the music (jail version lol)
27:06 Breakthrough
Thankee
Hannah, I just love the hell out of you. I was ROLLING when you were like “He just pulled a live kitten out of his pocket??”
I would definitely recommend listening to Hayley Kiyoko's music who plays Stella in this. Her voice is amazing and her songs are bops. Also fun fact Mo and Charlie were going to end up together however the actor who plays Charlie he was like 14 when they filmed it so yeah no joke so the age difference between the two actors stopped that from happening.
where did u get that info
Naomi is 28 and Blake is 25.
Y’all just be making stuff up
@@chazaiah im not Blake Michael who played Charlie confirmed it on his tiktok
@@tapangawashington6878 That’s still a pretty questionable age gap at 14 and 17 vs 25 and 28. Especially since age of consent is 16/17 in a lot of states.
She’s so gone was on our warm up playlist this volleyball season and we jammed hard every time without fail. We didn’t care how many people were in the stands we continued to rock out
The teacher is an amazing actress I grew up watching her on “Martin” she played Gina I never realized she did a Disney movie till now even though I’ve seen lemonade mouth twice.
*Determinate starts playing*
Hannah: oh this is a low energy song to start with
Me: Oh Hannah, you dont even know how wrong you are HAHAHAHA
i just love that you enjoyed my fave DCOM. That album was just *chef's kiss*
You should check out the "Livin on a Highwire" bonus song from the movie. You can find it on UA-cam. Naomi and Bridgit's voices go nuclear on that track. Also thank you for you vocal course it's been helping be "get my voice back". Thank you.
Yup you aren’t wrong about that regarding their performance
That sound hardly even sounds like it's from a Disney movie
YES YES YES YES
The teacher (Tisha Campbell) was part of the chorus from little shop of horrors as a young teen and released music in the 90’s and is an amazing actress now
bridgit is so underrated. she’s SO talented and intelligent, like she can write hurricane and she can work on her PhD at massachusetts institute of technology AND take harvard law school classes. love love love her !
as someone that is part of the lgbt comunity and watched this movie when it came out (i was 12), both stella as a character (hayley kiyoko ftw) and the "she's so gone" part were what slowly guided me towards my queer awakening lmao i will always keep this movie and its song in my heart 🥺
Same, didn’t we all find our queerness with Disney movies
I was looking for this comment
Finally someone talking about Hayley kiyoko
Feel ya so much! I should have realized sooner that it wasn't that common to have a crush on every member of Lemonade Mouth xD
Also, I think the girl at 18:58 (idk her name either) was Jasmine in the newer Aladdin movie.
she was
Her name is Naomi Scott
You didn't recognize Princess Jasmine? Naomi's voice has really developed. She's good here, but she sounds amazing in Speechless. I find that sound so difficult to sing. And yes, love Bridgit's voice, I think she's super underrated.
Yessss, I hope she reacts to that nexttt
I was screaming at the SCREEN. That’s Princess Jasmine lol
yess she has to react to speechless!!
Would it be too much to ask for Hayley Kyoko and Naomi Scott to be cast as leads in some sort of a musical movie and sing a duet together
I love how I didn't feel alone freaking out about Bridgit's voice. It's really so beautiful and so unique.
I wish she continued with her music career !!!
the way that I was OBSESSED with this movie when it came out and rewatched it every day for a week straight!!!! it's one of my comfort movies now and it's soooo UNDERRATED!!!
NOBODY IS TALKING ABOUT THAT BRIDGIT MENDLER HASN'T THE RECOGNICE THAT SHE DESERVE!! SHE HAS AN AWESOME VOICE, BUT DISNEY RUINED HER... I Think we need to give her the recognice that she deserve... She deserve to be a popstar... 🥺🥺🥺💔
@Jasmine N. I believe it was her decision to stop acting for a while because she was studying to become a doctor or something similar to that but I also heard recently that Bridgit is making her own movies. On the other hand, she is doing amazing
I may be wrong but that’s what I heard
@Jasmine N. Ahhh sorry when I read your comment it was around 3AM for me so I didn’t read it correctly.
Daniel. Bridgit graduated with an anthropology major at USC and continued her research throughout her time at MIT. Currently, she's a director's fellow working with MIT's Center for Constructive Communications and Social Machines and is simultaneously enrolled at Harvard Law School. She takes in acting projects from time to time with different filming productions.
she’s doing really well for herself now though
How did Disney ruined her?
Naomi Scott plays Moe in this film and she's also princess jasmine in the live action of Aladin, I really love her voice. I believe Brigitte didn't get the recognition she deserved back then and she has kinda desapaers now, that's sad.
she's disappeared because she just stepped down from the spotlight to study, on her linkedin and wikipedia page it tells you that.
And even better Naomi Scott was was Kimberly Hart in Power Rangers(2017) and Power Rangers is such a fun franchise. Naomi was also in Charlie’s Angels (2019) which was good. She had a very promising career. It just hasn’t taken off to the stratosphere.
I have truly spent the last 3 1/2 hours watching your videos that I came across on accident. However I truly love your comments. You definitely make me laugh and have such a great personality. I don't sing, but I'm definitely learning a lot.
Did y’all know Bridgit is getting her PhD right now? Also the teacher Tisha Campbell.. has an amazing voice as well. I wish they let her sing in the movie lol
PhD at Harvard btw!
@@DeezusJ wow just get in at Harvard is tough, but getting a ph.d there? I knew she was smart, yet I still somehow underestimated her, I feel so bad.
Fun fact there's a deleted scene with a bonus song called "Living on a High Wire" you should react to it, it is amazing!!!!!!!!!!
its not deleted, its actually the after credits☺️ i was hoping she would react to it
Oh my goodness; I remember this movie. I absolutely agree that the songs are absolute bops; I've recently been on a nostalgia trip for that kind of 2000s pop-rock.
The fact that Hannah was surprised that Mo had a great voice and literally plays Jasmine in the live action Aladdin
This movie has the best soundtrack out of all of the Disney Channel musicals imo
facts!
Highly recommend Teen Beach Movie 1 and 2. When it first came out it was popular but I feel that over time it has been forgotten. Ross Lynch and Maia Mitchell do such an incredible job so I’d love to see you react to it.
IVE BEEN WANTING HER TO REACT TO THIS!!!!!! It was and still is one of my favorite DECOMs!!!!!!!!!!
I used to love this when I was younger, knowing Hailey Kyoko was in the movie is one of the reasons that got me hooked in her solo career, you should react to one of her videos if you haven’t, she’s so good.
Just pausing the video to say your commentary is cracking me up in this video 😂 the reaction to Naomi laying on the table, the egg shaker, Olivia’s dad being in prison…this movie had depth
Shes so gone is such a good song. Between that and speechless in the live action aladdin naomi Scott has some really good girl power type stuff
Olivia actually pointed out to Wen that Determinate doesn't mean "to become determined". Also, in the book, Charlie and Mo did end up together. And he was a pretty cool guy.
Wait! There's a book? Omg. I love this movie and watched like 500 times and never knew about the book kkkk
Are you telling me there’s a book after many years?? And Charlie and Mo ended up together 😱😱
There's actually _two_ books
Right? lol. The author paired up Stella with a new character in Book 2.
@@tachmin4ever Right? I read the books after I watched the movie bc I was OBSESSED. I guess the Disney people didn't want the couples to all be in the band..? But they ended up adding the bf into the band anyway..?
truly was obsessed with this movie in high school - listened to the soundtrack multiple times and it DID NOT get the credit it deserves. heck, my mom rewatches it all the time.
28:57 YES!!!! YES HANNAH!!!! lemonade mouth deserves so much more recognition 😭😭😭😭😭 it is literally I C O N I C

The thing Stella does on the floor is the same thing that Jack Black does in School Of Rock. I recommend watching it or rewatching the movie. Hahaha.
Haley Kioko (given her last name i am sure you can figure out who she is) has many singles and was the billboard rising star, or something like that, winner a couple years ago. She has duets with Kelani and Fletcher. She has great music out. Plus, she directs all of her own music vids. You should check her out... girls like girls is one, and demons opened episode 03 of Loki on Disney➕ recently.
I love her colab with Kelani

i for some reason still get chills whenever they perform Breakthrough ITS JUST SO GOOD
So underrated rated its crazy! I still have determinate on my playlist.
You should also react to the extra song they had on the album called “high wire”. Bridget’s the lead and it’s a really good song, sad they didn’t add it into the movie but I think you’ll really like it!

You are so right that it didn't get its appreciation in its time but its definitely beloved now! The real ones know how great Lemonade Mouth is, it was also originally based on a book too. They had plans for a sequel but they never went through. For another DCOM - do Cheetah Girls! that's one of my favorites
