In 1978, the Bills traded a now injury-ridden O. J. Simpson to the San Francisco 49ers for draft picks, including the 49ers 1979 first round pick...which turned into the number 1 pick overall. The Bills used the pick to draft Tom Cousineau, who spurned the Bills for the CFL. Then, in 1982, the Bills traded Cousineau's rights to the Cleveland Browns for their 1983 first round pick, among others. The Bills uses Cleveland's pick to draft Jim Kelly. The rest is history.
Andre Rison was a stud in Atlanta he made 1st team all pro once and 2nd team 3 times and made 4 pro bowls He later made another with the Chiefs He played professional football for over 15 years and won a SB and Grey cup Overall not too bad for the Falcons and he was able to score an NFL record of tds with different teams (7) He was one of the best WR’s during his time with the Falcons then he kinda bounced around
I still think the craziest part of the Ricky Williams story is Cincinnati going, nuh-uh, we're staying pat and drafting Akili Smith! He's our guy of the future.
Cincinnati staying pat at #3 overall that year reminds me of this year's draft and New England staying pat at #3 overall. It came out after the draft that the Pats ad some big offers to trade own from #3. Giants offered 2 first round picks plus to move up to 3, and the Vikings offered 3 first round picks (with 2 of then in the 2024 draft) to move up to 3, but no, NE stayed at 3 and took Drake Maye.
@@stevegallo8483 For New Englands sake they better hope he pans out if those rumors are true! Then again, draft picks aren't a guarantee no matter how many more hits at the dart board a trade like that gives you.
And Cincy was offered an even bigger package than Washington got. They would've gotten another first and second out of the deal. Granted with their track record at the time, they probably would've whiffed on every last one of those picks but still.
The saddest part of the Trent Richardson trade was the facts that they took Bjorn Werner the previous year and Philip Dorsett the year following. Ryan Grigson should have been catapulted into the sun.
Ricky Williams to the right team, and not testing for weed. For f--king weed! NFL zero tolerance policy. I want to see every owners blood laid out for us to scrutinize. I mean you look at the Panthers ownership, they have to be on something!
Why no one remembers Ricky Williams was good in new Orleans, it just was a bad trade. In 2000, he was 2nd in the NFL rushing, the saints were 7-3 then he got hurt.
Why isn’t Chase Claypool for the 32nd overall pick 2 years ago on this list? Ik it was a technicality but any other year it would still be for a first rounder…
I can't stand Carson Wentz he's a crybaby but he is much better than people make it seem. he is definitely better than some starters. even the year that the collapsed in Indianapolis that last game he had 27 touchdowns and very few interceptions and that game was about more than just him. for instance they got stuffed on the goal line and 4th and short which was had huge repercussions

Nobody wanted to go to Buffalo back then 😅
@corey2232 I'm glad he did! The Bills played so bad without him we got Bruce Smith! 🤣
😂
sam bradford had a hell of an agent
7:37 Damn I didn't realize how old Marvin Harrison Jr was, can't believe I got to watch him in college last year 😂
51 year old college sophomore
How about Top Ten NFL players who don't deserve The Bust Label & Top Ten Who Do
Harrison SR not JR 🤦
i got confused too
As a Bears fan, Mirer was the first player I thought about.
And Wannstedt was part of the Williams trade with NO too.

Redskins missing Marvin Harrison Junior is crazy
Who was their quarterback going to be?
@@MrRay-md4vgSam Howell
@@tylerbernstein1987been traded
@@MrRay-md4vg The point is Harrison Jr was not born until 6 years after. Harrison SR was a missed draft.
Crazy how back in the day teams would give up multiple 1st round picks for running backs.

hes not a player but alot of people forget belichick was traded to the pats which was one of the best trades ever for the pats

Ryan Grigson should have been catapulted into the sun.
This was when i realized how important GMs were.
Crazy how Howie fleeced the colts and Vikings and what he ended up using them picks to create
And the funny thing I remember is Howie was labelled as an idiot because of the dead cap hit they took to get rid of Wentz
Love your video TPS and keep up the great work you are awesome

We are forever grateful to Da Bears for giving us a 1st and taking Mirer off our hands. 😊Go Hawks
Video idea: best reunitings in NFL history
What goes into an NFL bust I think Poor Attitude like Ryan Leaf Poor Play like Trent Richardson
Do another 2025 mock draft
Atlanta falcons traded for peerless price from Buffalo bills
Marvin Harrison Jr? You mean sr?

Guess now we know why the Packers are smart with QB progress now
Cleveland and the colts took L in that trade
You meant marvin harrison sr.
The Trent Richardson trade still haunts me til this day he was so bad for us just awful🤦♂️

I believe it 💀
number 1 Rick Mirer
Do trades that work for both sides
Matthew Stafford
Stafford for Goff was a win win trade for everyone
The trade for Russell Wilson just to cut him isn’t listed interesting 🤨.
Bad Moon Rison, remember the night Berman gave him the name. The thing I remember most about him. His girlfriend burnt down his home.
Lol...lisa lopes from the group TLC
Ill come every where!!!!!!

Anyone can make a wiki page, why did you sound so amazed about it?
I would draft wentz all over again because whether people want to admit it or not without him we would not have our Super Bowl ring
De'sean Watson
My beloved Saints traded the #2 overall in 1973 for 32 yeal old DT brlly Newsome. John Hannah would have been ok protecting Archie Manning

I can believe the Wentz one, dude sucked ass. Oh & sure he might have a ring but its a glorified participation trophy.
