The dumbest decision the NFL ever made was hiring Roger Goodell.
And basically banning creativity with masks and cleats
Myles Jack wasn't down. Even Brady recently admitted to it.
Truth
No he didn’t and quit crying 🤣
What game was that play from?
@@sethkraai9075 2017-18 AFC Championship
Just think about it we were so close to seeing Brees and Brady in the Super Bowl two of the best quarterbacks to ever do it with elite, defensive on both sides
As a Panthers fan, that doesn’t upset me lol
Didn't happen because it wasn't part of the script
It could’ve been Mahomes vs Brees if Dee ford wasn’t offsides
The only consolation prize was the 2020 NFC Divisional Round instead
Nah Brady would've won in OT, Brees ain't a dog its ok
You left out the play that started the "we need replay" debated. The Mike Renfro Houston Oiler touchdown the 1979 AFC championship game.
The flag pick up lions vs cowboys. The illegal bat lions vs Seahawks.
The none reviewable replay that wasn’t a touchdown on thanksgiving lions vs Texans.
Yup, yup, and yup
Yep (I guess the corrected by not picking up the PI of Anthony brown in Cowboys vs Raiders also I’m a Cowboys fan yes I’m depressed)
Later NFL draft rounds that outshined previous rounds in the same year. For instance 5th round players had a better career than a 1st round.
Actually, the Fail Mary was in Seattle. Green Bay was not hosting the game.
Surprised Bottlegate wasn’t on here
Dez did not retain possession according to the rules of the day.
Dez caught it, Jesse James caught it, Myles Jack wasn't down, 1979 oilers steelers afc title game, Testaverde down at the 1
The tuch rule still stings
The Fail Mary in 2012 was the replacement Ref's and the Rookie Russell Wilson at the same time 1:40
The coin flip was correct. Jerome Bettis actually started saying heads (you can actually hear it with the newer technology we have today) He said "He--Tails!" and that's why the ref said that he had called heads. Controversial? Yes. The wrong call? No.
The tuck rule still makes my blood boil. Not a Raiders fan at all, but that Brady dynasty could’ve been kept in check…
So many years of pain could’ve been avoided…
Like the Saints vs Rams....shitty ass teams still had OT and folded
You can't have one of the greatest if not the most Controversial Call without mentioning the Holy Roller in the 1970's too vs Chargers 11:04
Your taking over 50% of the comment section. Chill out buddy.
Every Saints Fans have every right to be really UPSET it's not hard to see why 4:44
cry me boy river
If the video doesn’t have this background music, I ain’t watching it.
The NOLA no call is hands down the worst call i have ever seen. I watched that live as it happened. It made me believe the NFL is rigged or scripted
The NFL was rigging games way before that. FACTS.B
Do trades that work out for both sides
You had three pass plays in reverse order here. First came Emanuel, who had an actual catch ruled incomplete because the ball touched the ground at all. That led to the "Bert Emanuel rule," that the ball now *could* touch the ground, as long as it didn't move in the receiver's hands. That led to the "Calvin Johnson rule"--not a change, but a surprising emphasis on just how long the receiver had to maintain control. (Basically, don't let go until you're standing back up and spiking it.)
Then, a few years later, what should have been a much less controversial and straightforward application of the same rule--Dez Bryant leaped in the air, fell to the ground, and the impact jarred the ball loose (there's even a still of that exact moment at 6:17 in this video). Incomplete pass, and to this day it boggles the mind that particular play is so controversial--especially given how the Cowboys had no business even playing in that game, after the referees blatantly screwed over the Lions against Dallas the week before.
The Packers-Seahawks game took place in SEATTLE. Not Green Bay. LOOK AT THE HIGHLIGHT. 😂
Love your video TPS and keep up the great work you are awesome
What about the Jesse James non TD in 2017
Yup. That was when they finally got rid of that rule
Cowboys Fans are Still pissed off of the FACT that Dez Bryant caught the ball but the Green Bay Packers didn't see it that way but to me at 1st I really thought he caught it I really did on the other hand the Ref's didn't see it that way either 5:35
The ball never touched the ground and he wasn't out of bounds. He caught it.
And Lions fans are pissed off over the fact that your team was even playing in that game, when the referees are the only reason they weren't eliminated the week before.
@@KoyasamaThis is why the Zebras are now giving bad calls vs the Cowboys (I am a cowboys fan and I am depressed but what Cowboys fan isn’t)
Friendly reminder that the call as of "Dez caught it" was actually correct as per the rule at the time. Also a friendly reminder that, even if he had caught the ball and scored and Dallas had made a 2 point conversion, Aaron Rodgers was on the other sideline and would have had 4 1/2 minutes to get a field goal.
If your a Wide Receiver you must maintain the ball while going to the ground holding on for dear life because if you don't then it's a clearly a Incomplete Pass 9:00
Rice Still Fumbled ... 🤬
He of course did man he did
As a Steelers fan the Immaculate Reception is one of the greatest things has happened in NFL's History because Franco Harris caught it and took it all the way for a Touchdown and the rest was history in the Steelers winning Super Bowl's in the 1970's 1974 1975 1978 1979 unfortunately for the Raiders well I don't which it more WORST Immaculate Reception or The Tuck Rule Game 11:00
Ik the tuck rule might be annoying but at the time it was the right call according to the rule book
dez caught it!
Drop
It was a catch. But no body cares because it’s the cowboys
@@TheAASAllAroundSports if Calvin Johnson was a drop so was Dez
I was 1000% expecting Bradberry's holding call in Super bowl 57 to be on here, just because you guys were still crying about it a few weeks ago 🤡🤡
Russell Wilson got so lucky at that time after the review of the play 2:20
If your a Saints Fan Do not watch this because to this day it was a Pass Interference and you know it! 0:08
Music City Miracle
yeah right 100% seriously doubt that
Gotta tell my family tps just posted
NO! it was the St.Louis Rams in 1999 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers NFC Title Game 7:50
that rams flag versus the saints still makes my blood boil to this day i remember watching it live with my family and we all jumped out of our seats screaming at the tv and im not even a rams fan if it makes it worse imma bengals fan
The tuck rule was ruled against the pats when they played the jets that same year so. It was a rule back than
INSANE that yall dont have the seahawks vs lions playoff game where Megatron fumbled at the 1 yard line and bobby wagner i believe it was kicked the ball out the back of the end zone..should've been lions ball on the 1 but they gave the seahawks a touchback and they won...lions wouldve won that game
No Saints Fans will not forget this because it's disappointing that the Saints got Screwed big time for no reason as to why the Ref's took away the Saints from going to it's 2nd trip to the Super Bowl in the 2018 NFC Championship Game vs Rams I know how they all feel about it really really painful to see it happen 4:20
Dez didn't catch it if Calvin didn't catch it.
I've never heard of that Jets fumble and I don't see how that changed history forever.
Jerome Bettis said "Heads-tails" and Luckett went with what Bettis said first, which were the rules at the time
That Jennings #43 of the Packers caught the football that shouldn't have been called a TD it was supposed to be a interception as well as a Touchback but in the end Seahawks got the win 2:04
Decker reported was a pretty bad call also
Yep. Although then we wouldn't have had Lions v Rams in the playoffs.
Ironically I think that it ended up benefiting the Lions more than the Cowboys😂
I think the zebras have a system on who is above who so they call flags on the Lions over the Cowboys
@@aaronking4074it did though (Of the cowboys get 2nd in NFC east they could have made the NFC Championship for once) I am a cowboys fan (What you said about it helping the lions more is correct)
@@KevinChaires-Bean17 Yea. Although as a Packers fan I'm not complaining about the overall result
@@aaronking4074 yep
Obviously it was the Tuck Rule in the 2001 AFC Divisional Round Patriots at home in the snow against the then Oakland Raiders that changed the game in NFL's History 0:28
That DPI in the NFC championship game would’ve been 100% called in the CFL
And?
Marcus Mariota forward progress
Jesse James caught the ball against the patriots.
What about when the refs called for a review of Quincy Morgan’s catch in the Browns-Jaguars game from 2001? They called for a review after Tim Couch spiked the ball in hurry-up mode.
I'm surprised the Jesse James call wasn't included in this video
Everyone knows Dez caught the ball.
7:44 This is heartbreaking for me as a die hard Bucs fan. Every time the Bucs play the #*%£\=& rams, I will make sure that I take a picture of the score if the Bucs win. And if so, I’m gonna edit that picture to where a dagger is inside the rams logo.
The 2023 AFC Championship game. The penalizing of Kyle Van Oy and the Pass Interference that didn't get called.
As a Ravens fan I agree
As a Ravens fan I agree
Also it was like 5 blatant pass interferences
Fail Mary was not a bad fall in a bang bang moment you can't call OPI after review and if a receiver and a DB come down with the ball and both have possession then the receiver is deemed to have majority possession
Dez dropped it
Mahomes has 4 SB rings if the Pats don’t get handed that 2018 championship
Missed the Jesse James catch vs pats
Myles jack wasn't down
Bonty gate scandal “garbage” happened though
Myles jacks wasn’t down.
No James Bradberry Holding Call In Super Bowl 57 Is Insane 😂😂THAT BASICALLY STARTED THE CHIEFS DYNASTY
Bradberry admitted that he held MVS
Because he did hold so it was the correct call.
@@PatClevenger0709u mean juju?
@@BengalsBillsFan2015 yep
1. The call was correct.
2. Bradberry had gotten away with holding earlier in the game so it was high time he FINALLY got caught. The numbers of calls that went the Eagles' way in that game was insane.
3. The Chiefs' Dynasty started in 2019
These calls were based on the scripts for the game.
Dez call was right call.
As a saints fan i already know 2018 is on the list . Maybe at the top. Im preparing myself mentally, cause it will always kill me watching anything related to that dogshit
Super Bowl 2019 every call that went against the 49ers the missed calls the Chiefs got away with
Holmes didn't have two feet down!!
Even if he did, the refs ignored him celebrating with lebron’s goofy ass powder celebration. The ensuing kickoff should’ve been from Pittsburgh’s own 15. Who knows what happens from there if the refs made the right call?
Not necessarily controversial, more like just plain stupid, but the notcard test between the raiders and cowboys in like 2019ish. Raiders defense stopped the cowboys I wanna say on 3rd down. But it was a close call to the 1st. Chain gang comes out and the ball looks short, ref folds a note card in half and slides it in between the ball and chain. Then calls it a 1st down 🤦🏽♂️
Was the Franco Harris catch too old?
no jesse james catch
Megatron was not a catch
Hey
Tuck rule
The eagles and chiefs p.i. Call that single handled won the game for the chiefs isn’t in here
The holding call on James Bradberry in Super Bowl 57 and the 1972 Raiders vs Steelers Immaculate Reception were a couple of the worst calls ever.
How about the Music City Miracle in the 1999 playoff game Buffalo vs Tennessee? The Titans pull off one of the greatest things in the Titans franchise history going all the way to the Super Bowl but Buffalo wasn't the same ever since then 11:11
XD imagine trying to pretend like the tuck rule call wasn't nonsense. Happy the Patriots are trash so delusional fan bans like this kid are miserable, but wait i though Bill was a hall of fame coach? But he can't get a winning season without the most marketable player in the league on his team weird how that works
In my opinion one of the worst calls in NFL history as the Bengals game is that horrible holding call against Logan Wilson in Super Bowl 56 that ultimately cost the Bengals their entire season it’s still gives me PTSD
And by the way Golden Tate didn’t catch it
Who gives a shit about what madden had to say when it comes to commentating for any game involving Pittsburgh. He’d been holding a grudge against Pittsburgh ever since the immaculate reception play.
Jesus loves you!!! God bless! Jesus Christ is King and saves and is the way! Psalms 62 - "Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken." Jeremiah 29:11 - "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Why? Why are the Packers getting screwed over so many times?
You can talk about the scab refs blowing the call in Seattle all you want but the REAL refs aren't any better. This is the BEST evidence I have to support that... Enter Robey-Coleman's BLATANT pass interference non call against Johnny Lee Lewis in New Orleans, screwing the Saints and Drew Brees out of a 2nd SB ring. And I'm absolutely confident that the Saints would have won the SB that year if just ONE of the refs would've thrown a flag and seen what every other person in America saw... A penalty that a blind dead person who knows nothing about football could've made. The scab refs only messed things up for 5 weeks. The real refs have been screwing things up and screwing teams since the 1st game of football took place
The scab refs not only made wrong calls all the time, they slowed down games because they took forever to make decisions.
The real refs make the rights calls 90% of the time. They have made some egregious mistakes but usually they are right.
