Hopefully you are feeling better from your bicycle crash. Another great video as always just love watching. Keep those adventures coming for us to see.
Back in the '60s when I chopped mud for the brick layers and block masons they had the same bag as the weekender. Same features leather straps a wood metal frame at the top for open and close. Back then they were just plain white heavy canvas or duck cloth. That was a real good one the cheap one was just floppy canvas with double stitched canvas handles.
Silas I am continually amazed at the number of cars you cycle through! Our county here (Lake County, Ca.) is about the same as yours (about 60 K) and we are down to one auto recycler in the entire county, and I don't think he does anywhere near the volume you do. Kudos my friend, you are one busy hard working guy!
Hey Silas that's a lot of money for some rusty junk!! You could put one of your 2 ton cabs on the frame and sell it as a project, but you will make more parting it out, hopefully you have someone lined up who will buy some of it! How about making a solar project for your bus, lights, power etc. and maybe get some sponsorship for the panel? Save the good car batteries you get, I know it's not the best type of battey, but I once lived off solar cheaply with car batteries as storage, it does work.
Keep doin what you are doing , the variety in your videos keeps stuff interesting Wish you where closer i see stuff come through like 5x100 bolt 14" aluminum wheels i need for race aplication or nice front clip for my 48 to 54 chev pickup
I keep seeing sheet steel and it makes me wonder. At one point you commented on a building you had where the roof was wind-damaged and I thought" why not use the sheet steel to repair the roof and make the building usable again?
To little slope, different levels on different added parts meeting in all maner of impractical ways, there would nescessary with to much building, very expensive.
Hello Silas...hope you and the family are doing well. You mentioned wanting us viewers to let you know if we liked specific vid content, listen lol...anything you upload is awesome content man. So as far as I am concerned, keep uploading and everything will be phenomenal !
A quick question..i have seen some videos on UA-cam that shows glass being recycled into fine sand to be further used as raw material for new glass or as refined Sand for new construction. In this video I see glass being smashed.. would it be profitable if you are able to send the windshield in a single piece to a glass recycling facility instead of smashing and dealing with the mess afterwards. Maybe make some money.
So glad You are OK ! You are very Busy indeed and crashing Cars and Trucks - Lots of Fun for us ! Another Great Video and many Cheers from us in Australia !!!!
Another great video of Silas running three ways to Sunday, lol I'm sorry to hear about your bike crash. Hope you're doing well and the bike wasn't damaged. I was wondering if there'd still be mushrooms this late, with all the rain we've been having. Scrap prices may be falling but the dern gas, groceries and living hasn't! It's getting scary crazy. We can watch your videos and forget the problems for a bit. Always happy to see a new one. Stay safe and GOD bless
You should put a walk through of what’s around your crusher it looked interesting I kept trying to look at all the stuff around it while you was crushing at the end lol
Silas. I was wondering how much would you want for the back of a old truck cab in order to use as a bench for my patio. I hope you know what I'm talking about. Love your channel. I'm in San Antonio Texas . Thank you
@@AdventuresMadeFromScratch thank you for getting back to me so fast. I'm looking for a 1940s or 50s . Can you if you don't mind let me know when you may have a few I would be coming from Texas. So I would have to make arrangements to pick up
Morning Silas! I do understand your investment gamble!! I work for one of the big three which pays the bills, but I have a expensive car habit, so I buy & sell what ever I can get my hands on.... sometimes I lose $$_sometimes I break even, but, then sometimes I do very well....
If it where me I would take one the other buses an Barry it then put the bus your using as a camper on top, I hear you have tornadoes there so why not have a shelter?
Be careful my friend. I rolled my ankle a month ago I was laid up on the couch for 3 weeks im still not 100% got let go from my job cause of it. Ouch!!
That is so weird Silas, a couple weeks ago I asked you about people buying cars from you for derbies, now you get in a couple loads of what look like derby cars to be crushed. 🤔 😇😇
Good afternoon, friend, we love your videos. I'm a fan of yours. Because of what you do, it's my dream to do the same and have that passion. Tell him like this. From here in Mexico, we will continue to support you. Greetings from Mexico.
I just want you to know that people actually go to the store and buy lug nuts. I know that may seem odd to you because it's something you will never have to do.
Only idiots scrap out catalytic converters by emptying them first ... you only get a fraction of the value for crushed catylitic honeycomb without the actual converter with the identification number to determine the value of the contained metals....& the empty cat pisses off the scrap yard as well,,my friend Eddy use to bust open & clean out the catalytic converters & he was only making a fraction of the money I was getting for complete converters sold to the refinery
I don’t mind if people do that, but they are hurting themselves. The reason being that I can’t look the numbers up without the case, so I have to pay them based on aftermarket value to be safe.
I sent a request for some truck parts to your email address and it wouldn't go through. Said that the address was not good. now I am wondering how to contact you. Love your video's and watch all... Gene.........................

That old Ford truck 15:24, they were a great workhorse back then. Pity the cabs rusted. Well down under they did.
Hi Silas. With the high price of fuel now is there any advantage for you to recycle the gas from your scrap cars?

I've wondered the same thing.

My favorite part on this video was the unique way car crushing and filming something I really enjoyed.
Silas, your business cards should have a slogan. Something like:
Have sawzall, will travel.
Silas. I was wondering how much would you want for the back of a old truck cab in order to use as a bench for my patio. I hope you know what I'm talking about. Love your channel. I'm in San Antonio Texas . Thank you

Makes you wonder how we survived those bike wrecks when we were kids. Right, dude?
Interesting fact about me, I was 16 before I ever learned how to ride a bike

In Georgia, we call it "Skwushing" cars.
Silas, I've always wondered, buying catalytic converters, how do you know they weren't stolen? Do you only buy from people you know?
We report everything we buy to the state. People know that, so they sell their stolen stuff to other buyers who pay less but operate illegally.
You need to get the junk pickup trucks make trailers into them
I buy pickup trailers for scrap all the time. They don’t have much value here
Very cool!!!!!!!!!
Good to know what profit/loss margins are. Thanks.

Hi
demolition derby victims day ¡¡¡¡
Seems like a small profit for a lot of work Silas. Time is money.
We only make about $30 profit per car that we buy by weight, so it’s much better than that.
