Take it from me, if Bernard was in a bad mood, EVERYBODY knew about it. So those around him spent the rest of the day attempting to get as far away from him as possible.

"BLT hasn't done very well" Sheesh! That damn tune was a monster that sold solidly throughout the 80's, especially once it was released and heard in America.

    • @mana3735

BLT was never that big in the UK...I don't even think it made the top 40. It's NOT their best song...just one of their most commercial and easier listening songs. True Faith was better and bigger.

Maybe Benard gave him a fictitious name on purpose. I have a 1999 issue of Q magazine where readers sent in questions and many of his answers were joking around. Many half truths and outright lies.

I do miss Hooky in New Order, but I was surprised how good Music Complete was without him. I do think that Gillian's return gave them a much needed boost. She is on all the classic albums and doesn't receive the credit she deserves. Especially from Peter.

Michael Wilson Youre right that that basically originated from Bernard himself, since he used the pseudonym Bernard Albrecht.

kristianTV1974 why just Bernard’s, why not Stephen or Gillian’s New Order though? They decided to keep going on with the band too and they all have important contributions. It’s not just Bernard’s. I do miss Hooky though. Glad I saw them back in the 80s.

@@jmummysweetpea3671 that’s really interesting, however, I was replying to @Sven Hassle who seemed to be under the impression that Sumner was still using the Albrecht moniker at the time of the interview. He may of course have used it to throw some minor confusion into the mix. Anyhow, great to hear from you with your nasty unsolicited and inappropriate comment. Perhaps before you shoot your mouth off in future you ought to consider winding your neck in, as they say in Manchester.
