Anyone who sees Hadsa can tell the story has been taken from motorway incident and there are similarities: it happened on highway - it happened in front of the kid - the in-laws blamed the victim - the lady was driving at night. I count believe that the makers didn’t think of motorway incident once before writing down this plot. Come on! At least Aur kuch nahin tou ek trugger warning hi issue kar detay episode se pehlay.

Wajahat Rauf gave such an absurd explanation about that “Izzat Challi Gayyi” dialogue. It is bullshit how he is telling us that in this date and time of 2023 writers can not come up with better dialogues to express the trauma attached to this type of crimes. These so called writers , producers and directors really need to learn from the ‘west’ how to handle such topics. Hollywood never uses ‘lost honour’ to show pain and vulnerability of the victims.
Fairytale isn't a drama that is needed to be analysed criticality. It's just a fun show. Cute couple with cute moments and nothing else. Idk why kya drama hai are reviewing this show. If they don't like it then leave it alone. Why to badmouth? 😅
The rape scene which was full of unnecessary graphic details was shared as 'Best Moment' on reels by Geo Ent. The makers have sensationalized rape just like the 90s B grade movies

Pakistan has a history of not depicting actual rape scenes in Drama, the most we’ll see is implications leading up that scene or the aftermath of it all. “Hadsa” does a horrifying depiction of the terror leading up to the events of the torture by showing us the monsters first robbing, then kidnapping the pair of a son and mother into a nearby field. Then proceeding to beat and tie up the son, as the monsters completely make the women helpless in front of her own son. It was not necessary to show any of that, and it’s left many people horrified with the content. Most importantly, the victim HERSELF was triggered seeing such a horrible scene such as that to the point where she wished she had died before she had to relive that again.
Delhi crime is a masterclass in how such stories should be told. It won the 'Best Drama Series' award at the 48th International Emmys: the r*pe was not shown. The drama is an aftermath of the actual incident, how the police/media/people/govt dealt with it. Also the victim in this case is no more. These factors are key when telling a story of a brutal crime such as this. Ofc consent from the family is taken and important but its the way to tell the story that leaves an impact without creating trauma in survivors any where in the world since the reach of netflix is global also.
Hey Momin and Emaan , I like how sensibly and responsibly you discuss sensitive topics and societal taboos but now I would like you to address hypocritical approach of our drama industry. They always use ‘rape’ to create hype but never deliver the promised ‘social message’. Not even one drama except Udaari has ever shown correct way of dealing with such crimes. Our public doesn’t even know importance of medical check up and DNA sampling in such cases.

#Hadsa how’s this even prime time entertainment? If a real life survivor is getting triggered by this depiction, makers should not defend it, victim went through great pains to keep her identity private because public scrutiny adds to trauma. If she finds the similarities in the drama to her story than that’s shameful and reason enough to stop the drama. I’m glad Pemra banned it because it’s still an ongoing case with culprits not punished yet.

The drama hadsa is based on the exact similar scenes from the motorway incident. They need to be more careful with what they are showing on the screen. AND EVEN IF IT'S NOT all they did is stirr some controversy . People are talking about the incident AGAIN. GOD knows how difficult it was for the family to move on and the drama cause the family to go through it all over again. Sigh such a shame just for some trp.
When you were talking about survivors, its not always about message in the drama. This is how a survivor would feel after these kind of incidents. A woman wants no one to touch her. And it feels awful. That's what a survivor feels "Awful". That's what that character was talking about. Not everything is message. A person who has been through this accident, how she could say i am empowered??? This is absurd to even think like this. Sometimes everything is not about empowerment.
Just heard this morning that 'Haadsa' is banned by PEMRA. It's so unethical to make a drama on someone's life without his/her permission. How many motorway rape cases have happened and reported in the media??? Only one!!! The makers of the drama should apologize publicly and accept their mistake rather than defending themselves.

As far as the positive things go, the morning show in JSA did show the victim (unfortunately sensationalising it) onscreen to raise awareness but it also showed how behind the camera it is shot.

Fairytale is by far one of the best dramas out there right now, there’s a season 2 BECAUSE ppl loved it so much, to go on and criticize sehar or any other actors for 12 minutes straight is just so disappointing. If you are going to give your opinion on a show atleast put it in a way where your complimenting the actors work and telling them things that can improve. At this point they a were just straight up making fun of her.

First of all, Nadia Khan is mainly a host. She herself is an extremely average actress. So her reviews are not something that has value.
Secondly, what she and her mates said about Fairytale was bogus. Three of them were saying we haven't watched fairytale season 1 so we don't know how these characters were built but blah blah. IMO, they shouldn't review fairytale S2 because they didn't watch the S1. And if they find it not for their age group. They should have left it. But saying demeaning words to the makers and the female lead is disgusting. Especially a drama that is not harmful to society in any way but a light rom-com that is loved by the majority. That language doesn't match the calibre of Rubina Ashraf, Marina Khan, and Nadia khan. If they are seniors and claim to have an experience then their words should also reflect it.

jo bchy hain sng smait lo was italy and UK based drama.. very few scenes were in pakistan.. and story is about yunger version of all 4 leads and then a mature version aftr few years.... so they are not going to be parents and children but younger and grown version

I agree with momin when he says that women in society are conditioned in a way that we take it on us after such an incident....
we think life has ended, we blame self, and keep thinking how it cud have been prevented.
And we don't live in an idealistic world and unfortunately realistic world is harsh and full of crimes.
It's happening all over the world.
Especially such crimes are unreported coz of shame and society.
When you yourself going through hell plus everyone just want you to shut its very hard to speak up and fight.
Also, It take time to process what has happened, how to deal with it, how to resume living coz it is such a big trauma for the victim and everyone around.
I am sure drama had something good to offer ( in coming episode and overall) as in
1. awareness about how to deal in such a situations
2. Impact on victim and how to overcome and fight back
3. Impact on others kids, husband, elders.
4. How people stand together and console eachother
5. Societal aspects.
6. Role of authorities.
It was a masterpiece and would have been if allowed to be telecasted coz not many people have been victim of such a situation, and when they are unfortunately in such a situation its the end for them.
This drama would have represented "no, its not the end"
Indeed it is very important to speak out, report and authorities should take strict and timely action.
( in the process of making it if this drama has failed to mention "inspired by" or didn't gave trigger warning...and this has affected victim in a way that they felt like reliving the trauma..then I am sincerely very sorry and apologize for it)
But such instances of looting and beyond are increasing especially during the night time on highways and expressways.
And putting light on it with not spoil image of a nation ( as its happening everywhere) rather it will help people to be cautious till the time authorities are effective and efficient enough.
By shunning, shaming and shutting the drama off and In fact by banning the drama "Hadsa" we are doing nothing but showcasing how ready we are to talk about it.
Understand such topics are indeed sensitive and uncomfortable to watch, controversial to make.
But they are important, very important!!

Here is what I feel about the whole “Hadsa” drama. We all know this kind of unfortunate incident happens all the time but this particular story made headlines. So that is the problem.
I’m not saying don’t make content like this but put a trigger warning and I have an issue with the timing. It’s every day and airs at 7:00 p.m. These types of series should air after 9 p.m. with a trigger warning.
It’s a really heavy watch. I can understand someone who went through this will be affected. Hopefully, makers can be a little more sensitive about it.
