Maya's comment on drama critics was so stupid. As you mentioned that even teasers are getting a review nowadays. In fact, you guys are still very generous while reviewing these dramas, we all know how things happen in Bollywood and Hollywood where their media channels go all ruthless and they don't even see if it's srk, brad pitt, or any other XYZ actor. You get a review of feedback on your performance in a regular job as well and it's totally based on your work then how do these public figures whose main job is to entertain the audience expect not to give them feedback? I remember the first time I watched amma reviewing the dramas, I was so happy because she said exactly the same things which my family and I felt or thought and discussed with each other while watching dramas. I think these Pakistani actors need to come out of their bubbles and see the reality where they are not Prince and Princess but normal people whose job is to act and in return, they get feedback from the audience. And if they do a good job they are appreciated and if not they are criticized. As simple as that. #feedbackcorner
Maya’s comment made no sense what so ever. At one point she was saying that reviewers don’t even know the “R” of reviewing and then she comes up with saying that you should watch all 25 episodes and then give your reviews lol. Firstly, dramas are made for the audience and if there’s something that the audiences are not liking, they will obviously comment on that. Reviewers are also audiences of your dramas. You guys are “working hard” so that the audience likes and appreciates your performances, but if someone does not like it then obviously they’ll say it. Just because I don’t cook, it does not mean I can’t say if a food tastes good to me or bad. Also I think people who’ve been watching these dramas for years can differentiate between what’s good what’s not. If the audiences/reviewers stop watching your “hard work” then what will be the purpose of this whole industry Maya?

Maya Ali has some guts to say what she did. The way Amma and Momin have praised her performances in the past, she should be grateful to them for encouraging people to watch her acting, which I’ve always found weak and frankly pathetic. She’s a subpar actress, with mediocre looks and now she’s just proven she’s lacking in intelligence too, with her ridiculous comment of people standing with her for 90days. The reason you never found Maya salty is she's always maintained a public persona which I since day 1 have sensed to be way too different from how she really is. Since the beginning I have gotten a very fake kinda vibes from her,hence the every reason I never watch any of her work after man Mayal. This interview,was the final nail in the coffin for me that my perception of her was true. I tried to watch the interview and since the start of it I was cringing but still pushed thinking that I might be wrong in what I think of her and boom,the reviewer part came and I switched off.

To me you guys are promoting all these actors and actresses of Pakistan internationally because when you talk about them or their project it’s going world wide and they need to appreciate you guys. I only started watching Pakistani shows, movies, and drama just because of Amma and you guys. I feel like I’m more connected to Pakistan because of you guys. Hassan has shared in Haute Bites that he genuinely respects Maya's opinion. He felt the need to be tolerable which is completely okay. Having said that Maya Ali came with a motive. Her had thought beforehand what she wanted to say in the interview and kept going on about it. She was being super offensive.

Seriously disappointed by Maya Ali's statement. Actors, especially the ones who are established, belong to the privileged part of our society. The amount of money they earn is utterly ridiculous, and if they still don't have a bit of courage to bear some critics or so-called ''Extreme'' environmental conditions, this is the peak of shamelessness. Talking of extreme working conditions, being a doctor myself in Jinnah Hospital Lahore, I worked for 80+ hours a week for a mere wage of Rs.45,000 per month, pitty that this isn't even equal to 1% of what Maya Ali earns in her one project. This is the story of every single doctor out there, I'm still not complaining about my field but it aches my heart when I see how ungrateful these celebrities are for the status they have been given.

In one interview she mentioned she was 18 in 2016 in another She said she was 17 yrs old in 2016 and in the 3rd interview she asked the host not to ask about her age because she gets confused 🤔 ...Now u tell me if u r not hiding your age will u forget how old you are?

She is our voice, and if anyone has problems, they should review why they are acting or are in this entertainment business, its for us the public and ama gives a voice to our opinions or what actually we think about the tv dramas. I think Maya's and Shehriyar's relation got affected due to that drama; pehli si muhabbat, that drama was first hand embarrassment. People didn't like that, furthermore, reviews added fuel to the fire. Since famous couple are tend to marry in our industry. But in their case opposite happened. And now bilal and maya are super conscious about their project (may be due to the same reason). They are not ready to face criticism, if drama doesn't perform well. They want to work and spend time with their friend artists but are unable to deal with the aftermath. I might be wrong, But despite being sensitive, actors also have know how to deal with the criticism. They need to learn from international artists.
Punjabi is not a language of Jahils. Just look at the Punjabi cinema in India. Their movies are flourishing and so many people watch it from pakistan. They have movies with a strong story line with a dose of humor. Unlike most of our movies that are a waste of time.
Loved today's show. It was funny, crisp & got it's point across pretty well. Imaan was so adorable & funny specially with the fruit comparisons. I too thought it was Kiwi but Momin was confused. The food in Karachi IS way better & I have tasted food all over:) Disagree about last time's show but oh well. Maya is such a disappointment. Maya speaking oh so softly & slowly doesn't hide her wretchedness & passive aggressive behaviour. Bilal & Maya were both whiny & narcissistic in this interview. Next time she has no right to complain about food in any restaurant as she is not the cooking in the hot, sweaty kitchen. Just because Pakistan Dramas have no critics, most of the dramas have become garbage. Simply waste of time, no story, not close to reality and same story over and over. I have recently seen old dramas and I was amazed at the maturity of writing, the actors and the team executing it. New actors, writers are not even close. They need to use the criticism to build themselves and not sit and cry on national television. They are making dramas for us and we have a right to voice our opinion. So many times Amma says things we say in our house. She is the voice of so many who cannot get their point across and Amma speaks our language, speaks our opinions and we really enjoy, appreciate and agree with her reviews. It's time for the TV actors, and industry to wake up from their "sleeping beauty" sleep and smell the reality. Or it will be next bollywood / TV dramas that no one wants to watch.

I am a teacher and done our work in every weather in very hot weather in swear cold weather in rain but salary is only 40thousand but we not complain about that alhamdulillah Allah ka shukr hai jitna b dy but why the actors complain when their salary is 40 lakh and work for only 3 months on a project
About Maya Ali's point I completely agree with all of you that she was being unreasonable. That being said, there are some concerns I have regarding reviewers. I feel that there are times when these reviewers go overboard and there are many times when they criticise unnecessarily and become quite toxic. Also, I feel like there are times that reviewers do a lot of favouritism, more than favouritism I feel like wo un logoan aur un logoan k dramas k bhot against ho jatay hain jin ko wo pasand nahi kartay. Thirdly, I agree that there are times when actors don't taks reviews in a nice way laikin many reviewers including you people become quite defensive when people criticise you.
Also one thing which is very wrong about reviewers is that amma (maybe some other reviewers too) do not watch quality dramas. I mean I still don't understand why din't amma watch dil na umeed to nahi, it was such an epic drama. In fact, Iman and Momin both of you should also watch dramas like Dil na umeed to nahi and Jo Bichar Gaye.

Yes actors work in harsh conditions but they also are paid a good amount and not to forget the perks they enjoy. I did not like her comment 'reviewers ko review ka r bhi nahi aata' you make the dramas for general audience who watches for entertainment and has basic logic and sense about what's going in the drama so they have all right to review dramas if they don't want the audience to review or say anything about it then make your dramas only for a section of people who you allow to professionally review your dramas. It is rather strange that they think the audience doesn’t have a right or credibility to review their work. Drama is not a research paper where author would argue that only expert researchers can critique their research methods. Actors act for audiences and ultimately should be ready to receive the feedback.

Maya's comment on drama critics was so stupid. As you mentioned that even teasers are getting a review nowadays. In fact, you guys are still very generous while reviewing these dramas, we all know how things happen in Bollywood and Hollywood where their media channels go all ruthless and they don't even see if it's srk, brad pitt, or any other XYZ actor. You get a review of feedback on your performance in a regular job as well and it's totally based on your work then how do these public figures whose main job is to entertain the audience expect not to give them feedback? I remember the first time I watched amma reviewing the dramas, I was so happy because she said exactly the same things which my family and I felt or thought and discussed with each other while watching dramas. I think these Pakistani actors need to come out of their bubbles and see the reality where they are not Prince and Princess but normal people whose job is to act and in return, they get feedback from the audience. And if they do a good job they are appreciated and if not they are criticized. As simple as that. #feedbackcorner
Maya’s comment made no sense what so ever. At one point she was saying that reviewers don’t even know the “R” of reviewing and then she comes up with saying that you should watch all 25 episodes and then give your reviews lol. Firstly, dramas are made for the audience and if there’s something that the audiences are not liking, they will obviously comment on that. Reviewers are also audiences of your dramas. You guys are “working hard” so that the audience likes and appreciates your performances, but if someone does not like it then obviously they’ll say it. Just because I don’t cook, it does not mean I can’t say if a food tastes good to me or bad. Also I think people who’ve been watching these dramas for years can differentiate between what’s good what’s not. If the audiences/reviewers stop watching your “hard work” then what will be the purpose of this whole industry Maya?

The way Amma and Momin have praised her performances in the past, she should be grateful to them for encouraging people to watch her acting, which I’ve always found weak and frankly pathetic. The reason you never found Maya salty is she's always maintained a public persona which I since day 1 have sensed to be way too different from how she really is. Since the beginning I have gotten a very fake kinda vibes from her,hence the every reason I never watch any of her work after man Mayal. This interview,was the final nail in the coffin for me that my perception of her was true. I tried to watch the interview and since the start of it I was cringing but still pushed thinking that I might be wrong in what I think of her and boom,the reviewer part came and I switched off.

Talking of extreme working conditions, being a doctor myself in Jinnah Hospital Lahore, I worked for 80+ hours a week for a mere wage of Rs.45,000 per month, pitty that this isn't even equal to 1% of what Maya Ali earns in her one project. This is the story of every single doctor out there, I'm still not complaining about my field but it aches my heart when I see how ungrateful these celebrities are for the status they have been given.

I think Maya's and Shehriyar's relation got affected due to that drama; pehli si muhabbat, that drama was first hand embarrassment. People didn't like that, furthermore, reviews added fuel to the fire. Since famous couple are tend to marry in our industry. But in their case opposite happened.
And now bilal and maya are super conscious about their project (may be due to the same reason). They are not ready to face criticism, if drama doesn't perform well. They want to work and spend time with their friend artists but are unable to deal with the aftermath.
I might be wrong, But despite being sensitive, actors also have know how to deal with the criticism. They need to learn from international artists.

Loved today's show. It was funny, crisp & got it's point across pretty well. Imaan was so adorable & funny specially with the fruit comparisons. I too thought it was Kiwi but Momin was confused. The food in Karachi IS way better & I have tasted food all over:) Disagree about last time's show but oh well. Maya is such a disappointment. Maya speaking oh so softly & slowly doesn't hide her wretchedness & passive aggressive behaviour. Bilal & Maya were both whiny & narcissistic in this interview. Next time she has no right to complain about food in any restaurant as she is not the cooking in the hot, sweaty kitchen. How easily she forgets the spot boy and other technical & non techy staff & the countless other crew members who don't even make quarter of what these actors make. Just because Pakistan Dramas have no critics, most of the dramas have become garbage. Simply waste of time, no story, not close to reality and same story over and over. I have recently seen old dramas and I was amazed at the maturity of writing, the actors and the team executing it. New actors, writers are not even close. They need to use the criticism to build themselves and not sit and cry on national television. They are making dramas for us and we have a right to voice our opinion. So many times Amma says things we say in our house. She is the voice of so many who cannot get their point across and Amma speaks our language, speaks our opinions and we really enjoy, appreciate and agree with her reviews. It's time for the TV actors, and industry to wake up from their "sleeping beauty" sleep and smell the reality. Or it will be next bollywood / TV dramas that no one wants to watch.

About Maya Ali's point I completely agree with all of you that she was being unreasonable. That being said, there are some concerns I have regarding reviewers. I feel that there are times when these reviewers go overboard and there are many times when they criticise unnecessarily and become quite toxic. Also, I feel like there are times that reviewers do a lot of favouritism, more than favouritism I feel like wo un logoan aur un logoan k dramas k bhot against ho jatay hain jin ko wo pasand nahi kartay. Thirdly, I agree that there are times when actors don't taks reviews in a nice way laikin many reviewers including you people become quite defensive when people criticise you.
Also one thing which is very wrong about reviewers is that amma (maybe some other reviewers too) do not watch quality dramas. I mean I still don't understand why din't amma watch dil na umeed to nahi, it was such an epic drama. In fact, Iman and Momin both of you should also watch dramas like Dil na umeed to nahi and Jo Bichar Gaye.

Maya Ali and all other actors and actresses have no formal education of acting,dance etc they don't even attend basic grooming classes and enter in showbiz out of no where..why didn't she look into this
Hasaan is amna doing so well but kal ki episode mein amna ka point valid tha lekin hassn kal bhi maya or bilal ko defend kar rahay thay or apna opinion unka biased tha ..
As a lay person i can say that how our drama industry went down, taanhaiyan, dhoop kinaray that kind of shows are not coming now.

On the other hand no body likes to be criticised hence an actor and critic can never get along.
Actors get so much money like our whole years income is not even half of what they get with one project or even an add.

@Galaxylollywood Is one one of the best drama critic in our industry nowadays after #Ammatvaurmai ,,3 celebrities sit in a Saturday show and they also give a critics like the way Amma did in Details Now these So called legendary Atiqa, Rubina, Faisal also give critics like seriously man🤦♂️😳 then why Maya is quiet and not taunting at these three 🙄😏
Actually Maya is jealous with the drama of Sheheryar and Sajal Kuch Ankahi as well Yumna and Wahaj Tere bin 😂😂😂….She even got that much views for their last drama with both… And nowadays both couple are getting so much loved by viewers for their intense Chemistry with their Co-Stars..

Totally agree Imaan Hassan ek bache ki tarah meri bat to nai kr rahi and both maya and bilal kept repeating hum sab ki bat kr rahe hain. Not a single time she mentioned k apki bat nahi. She was talking about aamna hassana and amma all. And aamna mentioned in haute bites k wo sabki bat kr rahi thi aue hassan wahan bi like a kid nai meri nai kr rahi thi. 😮

Yes actors work in harsh conditions but they also are paid a good amount and not to forget the perks they enjoy. I did not like her comment 'reviewers ko review ka r bhi nahi aata' you make the dramas for general audience who watches for entertainment and has basic logic and sense about what's going in the drama so they have all right to review dramas if they don't want the audience to review or say anything about it then make your dramas only for a section of people who you allow to professionally review your dramas. Everyone has an opinion and has a right to share it even though she had a rude tone but sometimes even Iman and momin you guys also, even though jokingly but say some mean things about actors sometimes. You guys also sound salty sometimes. So you guys too should be careful about your words and tone. Hassan although conducted the interview well and but didn't like him all defending Maya in haute bites. Aamna's opinion was more better. Even though aamna tried convincing hassan but he didn't let her speak much and was still on defence mode.
even the biggest star like sharukh khan also have flops movies. maya is already a star she should not bother so emotionally about the critics.
Agreed with momin and iman . As an audience, we have all rights to review and give feedback. We are investing our time to those dramas or films. Maya’s point was super stupid.

It is rather strange that they think the audience doesn’t have a right or credibility to review their work. Drama is not a research paper where author would argue that only expert researchers can critique their research methods. Actors act for audiences and ultimately should be ready to receive the feedback.
