Save on costs, bigger support from opensource community and help develop Linux as the best free alternative to Microsoft Windows overall.
@@AdmiralBison Problem is certain games like latest COD etc. won't run on Linux since thier anticheat for online is only programed to run on Linux.
Running linux like having a ChimeraOS /HoloISO/ SteamOS, Box means being bricked out of a number of games who's companies will probably never make them function/work on linux.

The Zeenix, contrary to what many think, is not a "generic" console, the Loki Zero and Max console were created with the help of Brazil, it is a joint project between Brazil and the Chinese company. this Loki console is now officially called Zeenix, Loki was a prototype of Zeenix today, which has gained hardware and software improvements and is being officially launched in Brazil as an exclusive product from Tectoy
A Portable PC with a competitive price really has the potential to be very successful here in Brazil due to the practicality of being able to run anything that runs on the PC and having the practicality of a portable console and the huge library of games at hand, I believe that Tec Toy got it right, as the trend for consoles is to become portable in the future.
I think in the long run, TecToy ought to adopt Linux.
Save on costs, bigger support from opensource community, free for consumers and would help drive demand as well as development of Linux over Microsoft's increasingly closed and online only Windows.

As a brazilian, I can confirm people around our age have lots of affection for the tectoy brand and we are earnestly cheering the zeenix, even if at this point we cant predict how well it will fare. I already think its a more compelling product for me than the likes of the steam deck. Im curious with the pricing on the pro, considering the specs are pretty good.

Despite knowing it's a chinese PC, the rebranding and future release is a brazilian initiative, which I appreciate a lot. Hope Tec Toy can acchieve their ambitions and we get a decent alternative for the Steam Deck for an affordable price. Never thought I'd see lady decade do a Brazilian... show about a new gaming console. Wouldn't mind a zeenix seems a powerful piece of kit.
Tectoy was one of the only Brazilian companies that dared to face the market with its own console. Zeebo failed, but it was authentic.

Had the Zeebo been released 1-2 years later, it would most likely run Android instead of Brew, porting the ginormous android library to it would be a breeze, and programing from scratch would be cheap too!
In fact, at the end of Zeebo's lifecycle, Tectoy considered switching the entire OS to Android, but at that point it was already too late.
If they removed the 50MB per game limit and allow people to store stuff with the SD card slot, and it would actually be a very interesting piece of hardware! It could render more polygons than the Dreamcast, and had more RAM than the Wii, but it's games still looked like half baked N64 games due to the previously mentioned limitations. Really a shame...

Lady decade i suggested you to make this video about Zeenix, and I thank you for that, and making many videos talking about tectoy, and Brazilian gaming market, I think you made a many Brazilian fans of your channel, Brazil loves you Lady decade
I think what really hapened was AYN wanted to get out of the PC handheld market because they couldn't really compete after Asus and Lenovo decided to compete with the steam deck alongside with the other Chinese devices so intead they desided to sell the Loki line completedly to Tech Toy that way they can consentrate on their Odin line of Android devises instead wish I think has been more successful for them.
When will these consoles be available on Amazon? Take my money.

I have a "Zeenix" (Ayn Loki Max). It's basically a much smaller Steam Deck running Windows instead of Steam OS. It lives in my tech travel bag due to its portability compared to the Steam Deck.
So is a "Jack of all trades" console? That sounds like something tectoy would manufacture these days tbh...
But does this console runs KSP? 😅
@@victor_silva6142 It's a handheld PC, so yeah, it kinda does everything. Steam, emulation, and much more.
You can play literally every Sega console ever made on on it if you want to.
Im brazilian and have watched some local interviews with the tectoy staff at gamescom. They doubled down on the fact that the final product will be sufficiently different hardware-wise as not to be associated with a white label product, and I also believe the chinese partner will ensure exclusivity with tectoy going forwards. At least thats what I got from the interviews.

This will be perfect to play those indie/2D games that are accumulating dust in my steam library. I hope the price accessible.
Oh so they are just offering a custom software suite of the Loki and Loki zero. That's cool if the price is right I'm sure it'll do well in the market. It's a few years old at this point but it's not terrible or anything.
There are other small changes like the plastic and thermal configurations. There may be more but I don't know.

Surprised they went with Windows... considering the market, Linux would have been a lot less expensive. However, they may not have had the engineering expertise that allowed Valve to make the Steam Deck's Linux "skin" work so well... maybe they were also concerned about it's "computer mode" not running familiar Windows software.
Its based on Ayn Loki, that already included windows. They are also marketing it as a portable PC you can use for work/study (keyboard with trackpad already in the box)

I wish the Zeenix would have been updated to the 8840u, but I’m guessing the deal with AYN was to clear their inventory of the 6800u and their super comfortable shells. I hope the Zeenix does a lot better in Brazil than the Loki did worldwide, as it was a comparable handheld that was just released way too late.

We need more Linux powered gaming handhelds. Windows gaming handhelds offer a subpar experience to those of us who just want to grab the device and play our games.

I hope they use good graphics plug-ins because most emulation boxes comes with buggy plug-ins that you need to find and download better ones but you can not in most boxes but desktop computer you can this is important.

Thx for having a good video showing context on economical progress on Brazil, even to this day many eletronica in general are expensive here because of taxes, and after new programs from the government to tax up to 92% imports, this Tec Toy initiative is welcoming, but we still are having some backlash because of the marketing since they were saying that their new console was gonna be something 100% new and innovative, but the Zeenix is a version of Loki, not a bad product but this caused controversy on the retrogame community because after the Showcase they say the company was working with AYN, which is sus since the differences are minor, i myself saw the reveal live on their channel and raised an eyebrown and thought: "seriously???"
But i'm really hoping it's a success with support from gamers and retrogamers, and if the company gives support to the product plus keep the Tec Toy Game Studios active even after the launch of Zeenix to the public, and they think of our market and make both options affordable

Damn this sounds dope, shoutout to Brazil! My only complaint look-wise is that Tec Toy logo on the front of the handheld, it stands out a bit too much. It'd be better on the back of the system, probably smaller and on the bottom left or right hand side; maybe a bit more subdued.
Just a curiosity for you: Tec-Toy's distribution in the Master System era was so efficent and affordable that the pirate cartridges are rarer (and more expensive) than the original counterparts nowadays.

I've had a feeling Lady Decade would do a video about Zeenix. Depending on the price it might actually be a great deal for handhelds here in Brazil, since the steam deck, ROG ally, and the Lenovo Legion are really REALLY expensive.
interestingly, "zeenix" read backwards is "xineez", in Portuguese it sounds the same as "chinês" (chinese).
I have only one criticism; with TecToy's rich SEGA legacy, it would have been *perfect* with six right hand face buttons.

All the odd things that happened in Brazil are because most of the people cannot afford even a ps3 today, so they get what they can. Also tectoy is just rebranding the ayn loki, but I wish they succeed in this with a good price for the product

It's not a new console, it's a portable computer optimized for gaming. Like the Steamdeck, only smaller and much more powerful.

In the old days, before abusive taxes, you could import a Chinese Steamdeck without having to pay the government for a console too. Taking advantage of this gap in the market, Tectoy saw an opportunity to profit from the sale of Withe Label!

Bit of context to understand the zeenix in it's proposition:
Brazilians play a lot on pcs bc steam's pricing and epic free games make the hobbie more accessible to people who struggle to buy the hardware itself. The ps2 was a hit bc although it's high entry cost people pirated games for the entire family for cheap. Tectoy making zeenix a Windows machine (aka can run steam, epic and piracy) is the right product for brazil.
Better res is nice, but saving money to buy an current GPU when u don't get paid in dollars isn't, so many people will accept the trade of playing some games portably in 720p or 30fps, just like they did for the Switch, another console heading to the best selling podium along the ps2.
