Maybe we could learn something from listening to this Honest Trailers. It is quite interesting that an animated series made so many years ago is better than many (if not all) of the more modern, liveaction works. Maybe people should stop making liveaction versions of works that were drawn or animated and, if they want to remake them and bring them to a more modern time, should leave them animated.
Lostinind I believe you are right. However, it seems that the animated versions appear to look and be better in story and development on average seeing that the narrator dubs it better than all the movies (which are liveaction) that have been made up until now.
Gimyohan Yes. However, comics are drawings and animation is motion drawings. Animated works are closer to the source material, especially in character design which seems to be a big issue with many liveaction remakes. With animation, it is easier to recreate a look or image of a character and more precise on average.
Sure, the movies are based on the comics, but they are VERY loosely based on them, to the point of being more of an interpretation than an adaptation. This animated series was much closer to the original comics in overall story. It's very hard to predict what works in 3D, but if the writers and directors can't do so without mangling up character bios and timelines, then I think they should bow out and let someone else take it. You can't expect much since most comic adaptations are just cash-grabs anyway. Even the animated series tries too hard to appeal to the then current generation as shown in the video with Jubilee, "cool kid slang," and SNL memes (of all things).
I was born in 83 and these cartoons were my favorite thing ever. I bought all the episodes on my xboyt and they are just as good at 36 as they were back then.

RIP Morph 😢
@@monot00nz This One's For You, Morph! *Proceeds to attempt to brutally tear the Titan Shifter out of the nape of a Sentinels neck*
"Hey tin woodsman! I'm sendin' you to Oz...in pieces!"
Imagine the irony of a rookie worried about the one teammate with a literal healing mutation getting hurt.
Don't forget Wolverine being right on the verge of ultra-violence all the time. There was a scene when the Blob got knocked into a swimming pool and Storm froze it. Wolverine walks up to him, claws out, and growls "Let's make an igloo". Best scene ever.
I still have that episode on an old tape
Don't forget wolverine crying like a Bitch when Proteus scrambled him like an omelet
I'm used to seeing Wolverine being a grump all the time, so seeing him cry is kind of weird.
This was too funny and ridiculously accurate 😂
This was soooo satisfying to watch, from the theme song (one of the best) to sentinels sucking at their jobs and the jokes 😂😂 thank you for bringing back so many good memories
Those X-gasms had me ROTFL!!!! Too funny man!
Too *sexually* funny, you mean.
@superkami guru My brother and I rip on that all the time, haha. It doesn't help that she's calling out to the Hulk, her cousin. lol
As a13 year old girl watching this is the 90s,I thought Jean was weak af. All that moaning and fainting *smh*. She made Jubilee seem stronger at times. Give me Storm yelling at nature any day.
Dang it! Now I have to go back and binge watch the whole series!
Downloading as I type..
They're all on Hulu.
yup. Iv been binging since I saw this.
Same...

We need one for Justice League Unlimited and maybe, the rest of the DC Timmverse too.
yep I agree.
YES JUSTICE LEAGUE UNLIMITED!!!
YASSS
Toàn Khánh Well, almost all of the animated franchises are better than the MCU.
No, 60s spiderman.
Was such a good show. Lots of good parallels to the events of that generation.
Ah back when Marvel actually respected the X-Men
U can blame fox and Disney's ego for that
Honestly
Ahmed Shahad Disney???
Goldstar Productions I'm questioning their response too lol
What does Disney have to do with Fox and their portrayal of the X-men?
1968 ęčľűď yeah Disney has always tried to cooperate with Fox but Fox was too stubborn
"...I am still plugged in!!" - pure Gold right there
Just because you referenced it, now you HAVE to do Batman: The Animated Series. It really is the best cartoon of all time
I like how all these storylines are better than the movies

I never knew why people liked Gene Grey at 3:58 ... yeah I guess that explains it

And I do believe we saw her on that show too as Black Queen before Dark Phoenix , WIN (although toned down on the leg dept sadly, but Emma was there)!

It's pretty freakin awesome!
Please say like Professor X : These Honest Trailers are tearing my mind apart!!
Oh hai Mark.
+Monroville so, how is your sex life?
Maybe we could learn something from listening to this Honest Trailers. It is quite interesting that an animated series made so many years ago is better than many (if not all) of the more modern, liveaction works. Maybe people should stop making liveaction versions of works that were drawn or animated and, if they want to remake them and bring them to a more modern time, should leave them animated.
nah it depends on who makes it not how it is made
...You do realize it was a comic first, right? And that the movies are based on the comics, not the series?
Jean grey's X-gasms. Lol 😂

WIIIILLLLLSSSSOOOOON!
Should do Spider Man the Animated series
But the Amazing Spiderman (90 something) one
Ozan Akyıldız I think it was just called “Spiderman”
I remember that show, had it either on dvd or vhs and i’d watch it religiously
And the original ninja turtles from the 80s
Julian Pagano or spectacular spiderman
Which was my favorite spiderman show.
Spectacular Spider Man instead! I want to hear the announcer guy have fun with it.
"...Sentinels sucking at their jobs... Storm yelling at nature... Scott and Jean yelling each others' names..."
I love this so much. X'D
