About SPF :
it protects you from burning and slows down the “tanning” process. You still get darker but it takes you being out in the sun a whole heck of a lot longer than it would if you had no spf and also protects you from the bad rays that cause skin cancer. As long as you use SPF correctly and reapply every 2 hours. Texas resident here**

I bought this foundation around the time when you posted this…. I absolutely LOVE it! I was afraid to wear it for a little while because of FLORIDA heat and humidity! For those that, don’t know, Florida has a wet humidity… Texas is a dry humidity! Both areas WILL bake you from May until late October! This foundation holds up!!!!
P.S. I have dry skin and in my 40’s.
Thank you for your comment because I just bought it. I’m 49 and live in Mississippi where it is also extremely hot most of the year. I was so worried because I have combo skin leaning very dry due to tretinoin. Soooooo, yeah… I feel better now. I was nervous to wear to work tomorrow but now I think I’ll give it a go.

Perfect! The colour match is great too. Gorgeous lips and eyes. When the base is as good, everything else looks so much better.

I am loving this foundation and the new Mac face pen and I don’t hear anyone talking about them. I have mature combination skin and both of these foundations look sooo good.
Mac face pen? I don't think we have it in the UK. Is it good?
@@humamumtaz2719 The long name is Mac Studio Fix Every-Wear All-Over Face Pen (so many words 😂) and yes I really like it. I only saw 3 reviews on it, 2 were women my age, and I decided to try it. I absolutely love it. You can use it as concealer, but I haven’t done that. I did get a darker one for bronzer though and I love that too.

The original Smashbox foundation was my HG. Lasted all day. ZERO breakouts. Lasted under a mask. I tried this reformulated one and it's PERFECT. I don't branch out because nothing beats it. NOTHING.
The claims remind me of the Sheisedo self refreshing foundation. I’m so excited to try this one, the smashbox 24hr hydrating foundation is one of my all time favorite foundations.
Mine too and I think they discontinued it 😩😩😢 I only see a select few colors in stock and my color hasn’t been in stock for so long and I can’t find it anywhere! So sad about it. This new foundation is nice but in my opinion it’s not as good as the 24 hour hydra foundation

@@Misty-sz1qhsame! I wore the sheisedo skin sync foundation for a couple years, and it stood up against the heat wonderfully in El Paso TX!
Tip on curling iron… hit the on button twice after you turn it on to lock the temperature so you don’t accidentally raise it while using it

When you mentioned being on your period it brought back a memory for me. I was always very irregular and never knew when I was going to start. When I started dating my husband, he was able to tell me exactly when I was going to start. Apparently I acted uncharacteristically for me. I was a very serious type of person and the night before, I'd act goofy. Sure do miss him (will be two years tomorrow that he passed). Thanks for the memory. And I agree, Texas is a killer. We lived 2.5 years in Corpus Christi while hubby was in the Navy. Phew hot is not even a joke there. Loved your makeup.
I love Smashbox so much, I have a lot of their products...primers, eyeshadow palettes BUT the best thing I have from them is the HALO HYDRATING PERFECING POWDER, I love that stuff, I buy them two at a time to make sure I keep in stock...so good and you grind the amount you need (yeah, it's fun too). 🥰

I love the Smashbox Cali Contour face palette. It’s so versatile and perfect for travel. I mainly use it on my eyes and wouldn’t be without it.

Tati !!! I am so HAPPY you finally have reviewed a Smashbox product. I have been wearing Smashbox Studio Skin for the last 5 years. At the end of a long workday, my mom would say my skin looked airbrushed. I also have combo skin and this foundation just somehow absorbs the oil and stores it somewhere magical! It’s never left my skin dry, ever! I also use their amazing primer and concealer. The concealer is a MUST TRY, as is primer! I would love to see more Smashbox reviews

I am definitely getting this n giving it a go, it looks so beautiful on you and I'm 41 now and it's only been a year that my texture of my skin has changed a little bit more towards the mature skin and I'm still learning how to do it good again I used to be able to just slap some foundation on and do my eyes up n go n my makeup would be flawless all day but now it's such a learning curve!! This foundation looks n sounds absolutely amazing!

I’m with you Tati on that heat! I’ve lived in the Texas panhandle all 34 years of my life and I still can’t handle it! We have a dry heat that feels like your skin is on fire 😅

@@gelly_espinoza I just read recently something about an underwater volcano heating the Pacific Ocean that caused all kinds of heat hikes in the world. It was really interest. Also explained why this years heat felt different.

Thank you so much for this! I feel your weather pain... We moved to Phoenix from the OC 9 years ago and I'm still not 'used to' the heat. Don't think I'll ever be. And I went from having not just oily but greasy skin to combo/dry. I'm looking forward to trying this foundation.

Maybe a little TMI but the thing about the period....Tati, I promise when I start my period the first three day I have energy and happiness through the roof.....I say it all the time, if I could feel like I do when I'm on my period but ALL THE TIME I would have the best life EVER !! SERIOUSLY I feel so so amazing those first three days

Out of curiosity i checked the ingredients and this foundation have BHT which is endocrine disruptor. I dont know if that was the case with me, but I had fertility problems, I stopped using makeup and I was a beauty junkie with YT channel (not this account) so it was hard! But.. 2.5 years later I became a mother, and I refused to take hormonal pills so I believe that ending with all bad cosmetics and adding some mushrooms to my diet, changed me amazingly.
Now I use Madara foundation skin equal. Sometimes I really want to try something from Tati list and it's hard to resist!! But I am truly loving my natural makeup products 😍

This is the first I've heard about this Smashbox foundation. It certainly looked beautiful on you. I've recently started wearing the Too Faced Healthy Glow Skin Tint. My very mature skin is loving it. I'll be sure to try this Smashbox foundation soon.

I’ve been loving the eyebrow mascara lately too! Just discovered it last week. I’m using the Maybelline one and it’s sooo easy! It looks like I’ve freshly tinted my brows with no unnatural wax pencil marks 🎉
