Restoration reuse old EVD player | Repair EVD player broken & rusty
The EVD is very old, I found it on the side of the road when I got home from work. By a simple method, first remove it to find a broken spot, then bring it back for restoration. Once completed, it worked pretty well

Today's surface mounted components require good equipment to replace as well as a microscope to see the solder points - assuming there were no solder points under the chips - some chips today - once installed - are not coming off - if the component fails it is simply a throwaway.
Also, interesting how the case had no dents and the top was off for no apparent reason. Looked like someone took the top off, put the two parts on the ground, threw dirt on them.
All that said, nice job disassembling, cleaning and reassembling.

sorry i call major BS here.. there is NOOOOOO way that all that muck getting into that delicate optical assembly would that unit even work for a second. plus the rusted rails the optics would not even move across them. i noticed at the end all of a sudden bam there was a clean shiny new optic assembly and chassis with no rust or new spray paint at all... its all fake!

Wow using a screw driver that looks about 2 foot long or more .showing it working at the end the poor quality on the tv screen I think u should put the tv and the player back on the tip again and leave thrm there
