When i was younger I worked at Chick-fil-A and my boss frequently would make Polynesian Sauce Ribs and bring them in for the staff. Besides the fact he didn't remove the membrane, they were quite tasty

Gotta admit I never considered using either of those sauces for my ribs, but you have definitely made me consider it for my next cook! By the way, as a fellow LSG 20x42 pellet smoker owner, I think it's fair to say you really can't make bad ribs on it because it's euch an incredible smoker! Thanks again for the super cool videos and looking forward to your next one!
P.S. - With the amount of research you always do and the creativity you have, you should do a pastrami video!

I've enjoyed this channel for years, and this made me comment cause the poly sauce reminds of a an old rib joint called the bahooka,Polynesian style ribs. The old food critic Elmer Dills from tv always had good things to say, maybe try digging up this recipie? I've slathered on poly sauce but never came close.

It would be interesting to see you reverse engineer the sauces, Greg. The rib cook looked wonderful--juicy and tender! I wonder if the Arby's was sub par because it is for RB=roast beef? I stopped using any bottled or premade sauces about 40 years ago because 1) sauces are fairly easy to make, and 2) all the crap some people put in them, like corn syrup, too much sugar, preservatives, and additional salt. It just made me happier to make my own.

Sup Greg, great cook on the ribs brother, maybe see copycat recipes for sauces? Make too many with what on hand, think last BBQ sauce bought was cattleman's Memphis sweet🤔, was cooking on smoke one 4th July, made gallon BBQ sauce and dropped it, was best on pulled pork tho. You really nailed the ribs tho👍, tyvm tc 🍔

First TRI Tip I ever put on the pit marinade included Arby’s sauce, tequila mezcal with the worm, A-1 and pepper. It was not Cardiff crack but great for my first time on the pit 30 years ago

You have room in that smoker for a large aluminum pan of water. Wouldn’t that humidify the inside and help keep the ribs moist?

@@brifo5779 The thicker ribs (Chic-Fil-A) were very juicy. The Arby's were not dry, but not as juicy as the other rack.

Do you ever use A-1 on anything ? I was at Hop-Woo on Olympic & Sepulveda, when they were getting inventory, and they had a box full of A-1. They don't speak English, so I couldn't ask what they use it in.

Do you ever use a combination of MSG and salt when you are salting your ribs before smoking? Don't know where the BBQ world stands
