I have fallen in love (because of your channel..) with the LSG - El Patron grill. The versatility and quality build seem top notch. Living in Canada 🇨🇦 ups the price a fair bit (exchange on the dollar; freight; import duties…), but will live vicariously through you - for now!!…. Thanks Greg…. 👍🏼👍🏼
Those were some big racks of ribs. I love the old school method of rib cooking. More meat is a winner in my book! That was an amazing color that you were able to get on those ribs.
Looks fantastic! There's a bbq joint in Austin, TX called Interstellar BBQ. They make a Sweet Peach Tea glazed Burnt Ends, literally dream of them on a weekly basis
Great cook and your work on the El Patron is really appreciated. Do you have the hanging rods to bbq ribs drum smoker style? I saw one el patron with hanging rods put in. I’d really like to see direct heat spatchcock chicken on this grill.
In the LSG videos and comments on Instagram. There was a buyer who commented that he recognized his grill in a video as he had asked for hanging rods. The rods are visible in the video.
Thanks Greg - No reason a similar glaze wouldn't work on the beef ribs I have defrosting in the fridge at this moment. I might change the flavor profile slightly, but it is a great start - Cheers!
Great cook Greg. How much fuel how often did you have to add during this cook? I did the Matambre Pizza yesterday on the El Patron... Wow that recipe is definitely a keeper.
No, not on a short cook like this. I have the fan (which I purchased) but have only used it once as a test with no food in the pit. I just wanted to see how effective it is. I'll use in on overnight cooks for sure!
Gorgeous glaze. I'm just in awe of that El Patron's performance every time I see you use it😊👍

Where did you see the hanging rod setup?

First ranger town burger
Yummy .. 🙂👍🥂..
What did you use on the charcoal tray to serve as a heat deflector?
…and some direct heat pork steaks

Thanks! I used about 3 1/2 splits on this cook.
banana blossom
😁👍🏼
What’s the name of the BBQ pit. I’d Love to give it a try.
El Patron or LSG pellet cooker?! Tough choice!
Does anyone know if ribs turn out edible from being cooked in an air fryer or pressure cooker?
Any chance you have the Fireboard fan controller for your El Patron?

Great looking ribs. Thinking about get the El Patron. How many ribs can you cook at a time?
Thanks. I have an El Patron with Fireboard. I have had trouble getting it up to cooking temps.@BallisticBBQ
