Should have used non-elite Jannisaries against Bohemians since their major bonus is Hand Cannons in Castle age
Gunpowder Wars was brutal back in the Medieval Era.
The ones with swords, spears and axes were too. I think that every war method back in the day was wild.
@@filipbaselides6498 Yup and modern day war is all flowers 😅
Quality content, do more with this format, thnx.
Nice video
Keep up the good work
Big takeaways: extra range is huge (Hindustanis slaughtered their opposing janissaries) and discounts are very beneficial (Italians won by a sizable margin; Portuguese were an almost-even fight; Gurjaras didn't do so well but are missing an armor upgrade, resulting in them getting 2-shot). Burgundians extra attack (and lower armor), Spanish faster firing, and Turk extra hp are a bit better than generic, but not that much of an improvement. Bohemian, in this test, may as well be generic. Only comparison left would be "generic" missing ring archer armor (i.e. Georgians, who technically have a hill bonus that's irrelevant to these tests, and Franks) - I'd expect that this would be much worse than generic due to the way breakpoints work.
Also hindustanis had extra +1 pierce armour
Don't forget Hindustani has armor and piece armor +1
So why does Portuguese go with 23 units like a regular civ since they have a 20% discount in gold cost?
turks had -2 units
@@hosykamikaze3626 OH my bad, didnt notice that by watching it from my phone 11
Portuguese did way better than I expected. The extra accuracy was much more important than the Spanish faster firing rate
Could be done at least few times each, because there's quite a lot RNG going on with handcannoners in AoE2, at least compared to most other units.
Though it would obviously take lots of work. :D

Only Hindustani and Italian capable to win
there was also a HC that got 100% accuracy, i think it was portugese due to arquebus upgrade
No, being able to hit moving targets is not the same as 100% accuracy
i don't think there was a consistent result because you didn't arrange the units properly
I expect you to explain how to properly position the units.
So, is the Janissary better than a Hand Cannoner? Yes and no. Janissary beats HC, but doesn't have the vs infantry bonus. Is essentially a HC that instead of being "really good vs infantry but bad against anything else" is "good against almost everything, especially mele units with high pierce armor".
The Elite Janissary gets half the hand cannoneer's attack bonus baked into its base attack
@@tomyrobinson3196 yes, but bonus damage ignores armor, so while HC does 11 bonus damage against infantry no matter how much pierce armor they have, Jenissary's attacks can still be greatly reduced.
No, janissary upgrade is expensive and turk have free chemical ,no one will upgrade .
@@spookynya3066 you're already doing way more damage than what any unit can have as pierce armor, so the difference in damage type doesn't matter here.
I think hindustanis will do the best
agree
Updates are a bit slow
wdym
Portuguese can win with micro
Hindustanis HC is da big daddy 😂
I think Turks are purple too 😊
hindustani gunpowder need nerf, to strong. turkish gunmen should be the best in the game
