I believe using 1-7 Likert scale in values must use and other categories than 1-SD and 7-SA, that is 2-D(Disagree), 3-MD (Moderate Disagree), 4-N (Neutral) so on. Reason is when you use frequencies what kind of chart or table you will have if you check only 1-SD and 7-SA?

Each question would be a separate variable in SPSS. Then you would most likely add the questions together to form the scale (or subscale), depending on what kind of data / questions you are working with.
