Intellectual maturity? That's quaint that a man who is telling me to believe in an invisible being he's never met or seen is telling me that I'm intellectually immature. As far as the spiritual maturity thing goes, I can't speak to that issue. I'm not sure if it's considered mature or immature to believe in fairytales, from a 'spiritual' aspect that is.

Bismillah. Yes you can enjoy this life as long as you do not exceed the limits set by Allah. There is a lot of mercy and blessing here that is a gift from Allah. Islam does not ask us to go to extremes of asceticism like the monks of the Christian or Buddhist or Jain traditions for example (no disrespect to those devoted souls of course). But they go beyond what Allah has asked of them. We do not have to renounce the dunya and live apart from it. In fact, we should engaging, responsibly, with the dunya, to do good while we are here. We just must always remember the ultimate goal and purify our intention and not get so caught up in the temporary delights of this world that we forget the next.

To falsely assert "We all know.." is at best a honest mistake made out of a place of ignorance of what the word "know" means, and at worst it is a deliberate misrepresentation meant to trick the weak-minded into sheepishly agreeing with whatever follows in his argument

There are different types of certainty. In the Quran, God refers to intellectual certainty, visual certainty, and experiential or absolute certainty. In this life, we can only really have intellectual certainty, because we have not seen it or experienced it, but that is true for much or perhaps most of what we "know."

His statement that he "knows" this life is not our final destination is demonstrably false, because I can easily demonstrate the fact that he has not yet died, therefore, his understanding of what happens after we die can not be certain. If no certainty, then we can not "know" for sure.
Thus, it is more accurate & intellectually sound to say he has a "strong belief", a "hope", a "desire" or a "faith" in the idea that there is something beyond the grave other then non-existence.

@integralmath for something to exist there must be a cause for its existence nothing can make itself exist because it doesnt exist before that matter to do it. therefor there is a cause for the existence of the universe and that cause must be a uncause unless you want to carry on infinitely until you come to a cause that never had a beginning which is God. peace use your brain

Salaam brother please read the Quran carefully you will find the command to send Salah and Salaam upon the prophet (saws). In this context, it does not mean prayer or worship. Obviously God would not command us to worship the Prophet (saws), In any case, please be respectful and kind, as this is also part of the message of the Quran.
