Fun fact: this was the worst theater experience of my life. First, the theater was packed, so we had to sit front row. I had to slump into the chair because my neck hurt after a while. Second, everyone else in the theater were kids and their families... Which means they were loud. Third, it wasn't a good movie (maybe nit as bad as I remember, but I was annoyed and uncomfortable). This would have been a perfect video for the world renowned “Green Trivia” with the guy screaming Rodney. Also, I don’t know if you guys knew this, but originally Michael Bay wanted to make the movie a Leonardo solo film, focusing on how he gets his signature Blue Bandana, the working title was “Blue Harvest” which coincidentally was the working title for Star Wars.

I remember watching the one where they go to the future and don't have to hide cause everyone or at least the majority is a mutant. Great animation too. Used to be on kids wb on Saturday mornings
Also in this movie, Splinter and Shredder know each other's names for no reason. There is no old grudge, they had never met before the scene where they fight, and yet in that scene they say eachother's names like they were old nemesises. I can maybe see Splinter learning about shredder, but no one told Shredder about Splinter. Splinter was just some rat in the sewer. Who mutated and trained 4 turtles.
Since the turtles are green and turtles are known for devouring grass, the working title of this movie was green harvest, which is similar to the working title of the original Star Wars, which was blue harvest
Alan Ritchson said "Michael Bay's TMNT" was the worst production he's worked on. Fun fact: He's also worked on a Rosster Teeth production, in "Lazer Team".
I literally watched up until 19:30 or so thinking this covered BOTH Michael Bay TMNT movies lol. I must have ZERO memory of the 2nd because I thought the snowy hill scene was from the 2nd
Of these two, I only saw Out of the Shadows, but it was a very memorable theater experience. Three of us from work were going to go see it, but then the other guy backed out, and the girl tried to spin it as a date, and it was very awkward because I was not interested in dating her.
A little tip: Bringing the Ninja Turtles to life through via mascot costumes or CGI are both the wrongs ways to do it. To pull off the Ninja Turtles: It takes green body paint, turtle prosthetics (head, hands, feet, and shell), and four very agile and athletic stuntman who are around 5'1".
i couldnt even finish this film i got like 40 mins and had to stop, so the fact you guys seem to have got through this in one sitting amazing, hats of you guys really are pros
Apparently the stories behind the development of THESE TMNT movies turned out to be FAR MORE entertaining than the movies themselves! Well, apart from the Turtle actors suffering, THAT was far more disturbing than Mikey perving on Megan! (Which Mikey I'm referring to I'll let YOU decide!!!)
@@OvertheHedge06In that situation, a bland nothing film like this is far worse than an actual train wreck of a movie… at least the latter is interesting, even if it’s literally just morbid curiosity.

I know this has nothing to do with this video But can we please get a Caravan on The Fifth Element. I know it's a long shot but I hope y'all get to it eventually.
Funny thing about this one is they had a alternate version more similar to the original live action movie especially the end. Also in this version before they changed it they moved parts of the movie around. I could give more examples but one of the best I can point out is in the movie when raph asks him to tape his shell, that happened at a different point in the movie. Cause if u watch before that ever happens there's one or 2 scenes where raph already has the tape on his back
I would prefer these kind of "changes" for adaptations rather than what we have in 2023. The only thing I 100% agree on is the power level of the Turtles. Other than that, I actually think the design, the movement, the personalities etc. is actually very good.
The origin of the turtles and Splinter are taking inspiration from the IDW comics where the turtles and Splinter are reincarnated after they were killed by shredder in ancient japan, but they obviously didn't want to do that.
Its not hard to figure out why....The 1987 series was the most successful of the cartoons and was on for over a decade. The 2003 series was kinda garbage only on for 5 seasons and 1 or 2 of them were god awful Fast Forward trash. Even the 2012 series was on longer than the 03 cartoon
I'll give credit to Michael Bay for not shying away from the weirder aspects of these children's cartoons. Good god these 2 are bad. The first movie continues to age incredibly well.
I absolutely LOATHE the direction that they've gone with (my favorite turtle) Raphael. He's gone from a moody John Lennon (that complimented Leo's straight laced leader Paul McCartney type) to some big meat-head oaf with a lame head scarf.
To complete the Turtles/Beatles analogy...Donatello is the quiet genius that is George Harrison & Michaelangelo is the party animal, Ringo, who just wants to bang on the drum all day.
Ninja Turtles, SWAT Kats, Darkwing Duck, Rescue Rangers, and so forth. We need an anthropomorphic animal superhero multiverse, and I don't care who owns what.

@kpfettstyle9188 hmm... I guess. I would of been shocked or ve scared of their looks if I was your kids age, at the time I was very scared in certain movies
@@JordanWheeler1999 He wasn't scared or anything by it but he was bored and fell asleep before anything exciting started to happen lol
@@kpfettstyle9188 oh...
Well atleast he isn't afraid of hyperreal turtles lol
Love that you bring up the terrible working conditions and employment law, on a lot of these movies.
You guys should do the 2007 animated movie TMNT, it’s got Patrick Stewart, Chris evens and more pretty big names. I don’t remember if it was good or not but I used to watch it a lot and play the game as a kid.
I keep rewinding back to like 15:25 to when Megan Fox gets up from the table. I don't know why but it's so hilarious to me!
looking forward to Mutant Mayhem. I feel it's going to be the best one since the 1990 original
6:15 one of my favorite memories from childhood is that shot of the Jim Henson baby rat doing ninjitsu.
I remember watching the one where they go to the future and don't have to hide cause everyone or at least the majority is a mutant. Great animation too. Used to be on kids wb on Saturday mornings
That's the '03 animated series, TMNT, they mention in the beginning. My absolute favorite Turtles theme song to date.
“look in the mirror and remove one accessory, and Donatello i think she was looking at you” PLEASE 💀
Any movie Michael Bay is associated with just asks the question “what if EVERY shot was a Dutch angle?”
Since the turtles are green and turtles are known for devouring grass, the working title of this movie was green harvest, which is similar to the working title of the original Star Wars, which was blue harvest
Shite attempt
I haven't watched these, but I'm now just baffled by the ninjutsu question 😂 they destroyed a humvee with a flip, what are the weapons adding? 😂😂
It would be fun and cool if you guys could do the 2007 TMNT animated movie, it's pretty unique and i remember being it good or at least decent.
Alan Ritchson said "Michael Bay's TMNT" was the worst production he's worked on.
Fun fact: He's also worked on a Rosster Teeth production, in "Lazer Team".
This video was... Iconic
One word for this movie “iconic”
The 2014 and 2016 movies suck but the Elevator scene in the first is 🔥
I literally watched up until 19:30 or so thinking this covered BOTH Michael Bay TMNT movies lol. I must have ZERO memory of the 2nd because I thought the snowy hill scene was from the 2nd
Can't believe we didn't get the return of Green Trivia with this one. (I miss guy who shouts Rodney more than anything in my life)
The teenage mutant gun having turtles sounds lit
A Caravan of Garbage "Toxic Avenger" marathon would be something to behold.
Some rise of the tmnt appreciation brings a huge smile to my face
Of these two, I only saw Out of the Shadows, but it was a very memorable theater experience. Three of us from work were going to go see it, but then the other guy backed out, and the girl tried to spin it as a date, and it was very awkward because I was not interested in dating her.
Every day I mourn the loss of Green Trivia, but today I feel especially hollow.
How did it take 10 years for actors to strike after this film?
A little tip:
Bringing the Ninja Turtles to life through via mascot costumes or CGI are both the wrongs ways to do it.
To pull off the Ninja Turtles:
It takes green body paint, turtle prosthetics (head, hands, feet, and shell), and four very agile and athletic stuntman who are around 5'1".
This was one of the funniest videos u guys have posted in a while🤣 I was cracking up at the gun bit, honestly the whole video
4:08 the sad music for the funeral is the theme from the Miles Morales video game
i couldnt even finish this film i got like 40 mins and had to stop, so the fact you guys seem to have got through this in one sitting amazing, hats of you guys really are pros
Imagine being trapped in a cave for 20 years and you could only rewatch these movies.
There would be worse movies to rewatch
@@OvertheHedge06In that situation, a bland nothing film like this is far worse than an actual train wreck of a movie… at least the latter is interesting, even if it’s literally just morbid curiosity.
Love the “here’s the Thing” gag 😂
James screaming about how 6’5 is to big. Me being a 6’5 large man.
6’5 is pretty big for a teenaged turtle.
For a man, it’s tall, but nothing crazy. It’s pretty normal here in Europe
I just noticed in amongst all the brilliant visual edits on this video .. that they somehow found footage of Tony Shaloub squinting when questioning whether or not hes Japanese. Just too good....
I know this has nothing to do with this video But can we please get a Caravan on The Fifth Element. I know it's a long shot but I hope y'all get to it eventually.
I'm pretty sure they have covered it on the weekly planet but I could be wrong
I was expecting a clip from that German pickle commercial, when the "turtle dongs" were mentioned.
Funny thing about this one is they had a alternate version more similar to the original live action movie especially the end. Also in this version before they changed it they moved parts of the movie around. I could give more examples but one of the best I can point out is in the movie when raph asks him to tape his shell, that happened at a different point in the movie. Cause if u watch before that ever happens there's one or 2 scenes where raph already has the tape on his back
Uh... I thought you going to say something important which you did not why do would I need to know something that isn't important?
I should not be shocked that Maso had that entire Coco Chanel quote committed to memory. 2:29
As a 40K fan, I just saw them as Space Marines and enjoyed the movies.
Another iconic Caravan of Garbage!
I appreciated these movies. The first was a solid first movie. The second had too much going but overall, these turtles are pretty good.
I would prefer these kind of "changes" for adaptations rather than what we have in 2023. The only thing I 100% agree on is the power level of the Turtles. Other than that, I actually think the design, the movement, the personalities etc. is actually very good.
Michael Bay creates visual noise. Just a blur of something happening for 2 hours.
3:00 That's my only gripe about these turtles designs.they're WAY to huge. Each of them look like 2 linebackers smashed together.
The origin of the turtles and Splinter are taking inspiration from the IDW comics where the turtles and Splinter are reincarnated after they were killed by shredder in ancient japan, but they obviously didn't want to do that.
1:59 YEAH! someone else acknowledged the 2003 series! That one barely gets remembered and it's my favorite of the turtles.
Damn the naked ninja Turtle bit would have been a perfect time to use that Turtle commercial where he takes off his towel in the men's room 😂
8:07 MOTHERFUCKING MONEY!!! No doubt one of the best ERBH ever made. Thank you Ben and Lawrence, incredible edit.
I refreshed my feed, this popped up and I shouted "YES BOYS"
The child is still very much alive in this 40 year old body!
Peter Laird, one of the creators of the TMNT, doesn’t even consider these versions as the turtles.
He called them “Mini-Hulks with bandannas.”
The idea of tmnt having guns is hilarious, Teenage Mutant Turtle Gunmen 😁😁😁
14:28 it’s nothing, noise 😂 I can say that about most movies I’ve watched lately
It warms my heart somehow that Michael Bay re-hired Fox after Spielberg wanted her fired.
You should’ve done the first 4 Ninja Turtles movies first!!
Ninja Turtles, SWAT Kats, Darkwing Duck, Rescue Rangers, and so forth. We need an anthropomorphic animal superhero multiverse, and I don't care who owns what.
Lets get dangerous
