totally wrong about Martel, Martel had a couple memorable moments in WCW including winning the tv title, and it was a concussion from a botched harlem hangover that took him out for a while then in his return match several months later is when the leg injury happened

    • @jkowal2817

was so excited watching his return match just to see him injured. it was bs. Martel needs to go into the WWE HOF. Enough of the crap bags like bushwhackers getting in before Martel. Martel had the look, the move set, and of course...the arrogance.

Ray Traylor Jr. (Big Boss Man) Barry Darsow (Smash) & Jim Neidhart (The Anvil) all made their mark in the WWF. But all of them had said the business practices in WCW were far better. They said they were paid more, had more days off between matches, and were given employee benefits such as health care, etc. That is because Ted Turner has a real sports management background with the Atlanta Braves and Hawks. He treated WCW as a competitive sport, rather than as entertainment as Vince does with WWE. Anvil even stated that it was really the first time he was ever even paid a great salary was in WCW.

Professional Wrestling is and was "a soap opera for men" much more than "a childish comic book" every blue moon a character works but the story lines and effective booking works better. Wrestlers earn "pushes" by putting "butts in the seats" and then making money through merchandise sales. If a wrestler can't do that, no push. Nothing should ever change that, no matter where they came from or what they did in the past. You are given the push you earn.

Sable was hot but in a MILF way, Sable looked like the All American Girl in her Prime. no wonder half the Locker room nailed her.

ajh90210 I never found her that attractive. Sure me at 14 loves any tits but it was because she was easily accessible. Had I had internet porn like we do today I probably wouldn't have used her as much as I did.

So many more: Bobby Heenan, Earthquake aka Big John Tenta, Syxx/X-Pac (Shawn Waltman), etc. Then again, WCW also had Triple H, Steve Austin, The Undertaker, Kane, Edge and Christian on the roster and let them all go or fired them.

you do know that Barry Darsow had a pretty good run in WCW/NWA as Krusher Khruschev, he held the NWA World Six-Man Tag Team Championship with Ivan and Nikita Koloff, he also won the NWA Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Championship in a match with Sam Houston, and was part of the first team (along with Uncle Ivan) to hold the US Tag straps so I'd say he had a decent run there...those were good times back in elementary school parking my ass in front of my 13" color/b&w (depending on the tv) television on a Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock to watch some JCP, and/or NWA Mid-Atlantic wrestling, and of course if my dad would let me (he didn't like wrestling, told me it was fake after he saw me watching it for the first time and I was crushed) I'd watch WCW on WTBS at 6:05 on Saturday evening...damn, good times indeed!!!

I don't know too many guys who went from WWE to WCW and had the same kind of success or more success than they had in WWE. Hall, Nash and Hogan with the nWo is the most notable. Most of the time WCW got them when they we're washed up has beens that WWE didn't want anymore.

I have a tough time killing Hart's time in WCW. It's not like he totally fell off the card there. He had multiple championship runs and pretty much always had a belt around his waist during his time there. His time ended due to injury, so it's not like he left in disgrace either.

As many WWF stars that left to WCW and were criminally underutilized, more wrestlers that went the other way around were criminally buried to satisfy Vince Junior's ego
