  • In this video I review the Yarn Ball Holder by Hansen Crafts! I don't normally use any kind of ball horlder but I saw this and I must say I absolutely love it. This is especially wonderful if you like to work from two strands held together. The yarn is pulled from the outside on a rotating base. This keeps the yarn from having more twist added to it as you go along. This feature is especially useful for working with two strands held together which can turn into an impossible tangled mess. The Hansen Yarn Ball Holder lets can be used as a bobbin holder as well.

Thanks for the review! Very cool.
On the weaving yarns - I recently learned that yarn cones are supposed to be used with the yarn coming up off the top, and that the added twist is accounted for in how the yarn is made. And that tubes of weaving yarn are made to be pulled from “around”, without twist added. I often put those on a lazy kate, but something with ball bearings that spins so easily would be nicer to use!
