Triumph triples sound amazing, the engines make a distinctive whistle and the induction roar is addictive 😊. The downside being service costs particularly if the valve clearances are due …… big bucks indeed 👍 if your in the market for a used one ensure it’s had it’s valve service done if due otherwise be prepared to throw another 1k+ at it if using a main dealership.
You can check the clearances yourself, and if and only if they need adjusting, you can take it in (or do that yourself). Modern Triumph engines are well built and it's rare for the valves to need it before 15k or even 20k miles.
I almost acquired this bike 2 years ago but at that time I was under the enchantment of the 1290 orange V Twin. Nevertheless, I really keep appreciating its qualities, that are many. Thanks ✌
@@DSR1YT I know you’ve not been lucky with KTM. I’m part of those who could retain a positive attitude: 30000 KM and no issues. I only moved away to look for a more sport touring oriented bike, a BMW 1250 RS. Ride safe ✌️
Do you find the engine 'fun' though. I have the RR..and whilst, obviously makes fantastic power. I don't find it particularly interesting. I have ridden a SDR. But I get the impression there is fun to be had with that motor, bit like the MT10.
This bike is so cool. The suspension seems to be the only major dig anyone has about it. I'm very inexperienced, so I often wonder if any discomfort can be dialled out at all. Most people doing short test rides never bother to fiddle with the suspension.
I’d never touch standard suspension on a test ride. Just don’t have the experience to do it properly. Unless it’s got electronic suspension then I’ll play with that 😁
Great review, I currently own a 2022 MT09SP and I'm itching for more power, but I don't want to lose the playful character of the MT09, do you feel the weight of this bike? And I heard that the suspension is really stiff
I can't say I noticed much issue with the suspension, but then it can depend on the type of roads I was riding on aswell. Would you not consider the MT10 then as a natural step up?
Good review there mate!lovely bike, always liked the triumphs.dont seem to very popular though?i cant see id gain anything moving from my sdr to one of these though tbh.stop talking with your hands aswell, its weird!😂
2 take away points from me, 1 - You're weird. 2 - Maybe if you dont like the colour orange this is the one for you :). If you have a SDR that works without issues, it's an insane bike, full stop. No point in changing. Not sure how triumphs reliability compares to KTM though, not owned a triumph yet.
@@DSR1YT triumphs reliability is a little iffy depending on who you talk to. but yeah,i would agree with you that it wouldnt be worth moving sideways from my sdr.and tbf i hadnt noticed you waving your arms about when you talk,so you cant be any more weird than the rest of us!😂
Maybe I was just waving at all the other bikers 😁. Depending who you ask KTMs are reliable. There will always be faults with all brands. Just the way it is.
Lmao, you've got a little Karen complaining about your hand gestures. Well if they don't like it, they they should tune in to the Karen channel. Honestly, I haven't even noticed that.. The triumph looks like the spider bike. I'll still take the mt10 any day.
Karen’s complain about a lot 😁. Haters going to hate. It’s the big eyes for me. Still not sure about them. But then again I don’t like the new mt10 headlights either. Can’t see them when your on the bike though aye 🤣
Anyone wondering what the 1200 does compared with a 1000cc , I’ve owned this bike and basically ( I’m no expert) but for if your at 60 mph and you want to overtake a lorry the engine just pulls like a bloody train !! 😂 you have to hold on for dear life because the bike just want to go ….with or without you in it !! 😂
Lovely looking machine ,like the majority of Triumphs, quality built bikes 👍
This was my first stint of taking out triumph bikes, only ever been on one before, and agreed, I couldn't complain with the fit and finish.
Lovely Jubley, best out there.😊
😁🤙

That always sounds to me like a good time to trade in and get new again :)
Is that how much the service is 😢?!!! Wow 😯 glad I sold mine now at 2600 miles !😂

How its sitting position? very leaning forward? :D I guess not for long rides :D

Great review… Great bike! Spot on with the 150 range although that’s around 100 when giving it the beans.
Similar to some of its competitors then. Still enough miles to have plenty of fun though 😁🤙
