Jacques Cardine what I mean is, when taxes started going up, interiors in Kias and Hyundai's got much much cheaper. Not to mention in new models, lots of things are missing that are not missing in other markets. LED lights. Much more sophisticated dashboards. Toyota is not doing that

That hatch into the trunk is not for reaching back into the trunk. It is for putting long objects in the trunk that extend into the passenger compartment.
Either way. You can use them for both purposes. Don't be like a robot where you only do what is programmed.

Underspecced and costs were cut. Toyota milking money from brand-loyal Filipinos.
It's the cheapest in it's segment tho. 240k+ difference from the Mazda and Honda.
Edit: it's cheaper by 124k compared to thr Chevy Malibu.
People are just comparing Toyota to other brands without grasping one important detail, Toyota is #1 globally, and when youre 3rd or 4th or 5th in the Philippines and, you would want to add features and add-ons to be able to get sales and compete with number 1. Just like with iphones, there are more android flagship phones out there that have more features and priced less so they can steal some buys. Still people who can afford it go for iphones because of the quality of everything, from the raw materials to its durable software and hardware.

The funny thing is that only in the Philippines is Toyota number 1, the rest of ASEAN prefers Honda, with the exception of Malaysia and Singapore who prefer Proton and Tesla respectively.

If anything, those brands underneath toyota, give away a lot of freebies just to steal a sale. And some of those features dont even make a world of a difference.

I doubt that 7.5km/L. Maybe 6 at best city driving. Mid-size sedans are thirsty in the city.

@@jerichoaustriapriela3222 FYI, hindi lang UAE ang gumagamit ng Camry bilang taxi. Mga mayayamang bansa ginagamit ang Camry at Prius pang taxi. Kahit sa Japan pag hindi Toyota Crown Comfort ang taxi halos Camry ang gamit nila, keep in mind, medyo kasing tangkad lng ng Pinoy ang mga Hapon.

Quick question, does new cars come with accessories pre-installed and the people from toyota just strip it off so they can make money from customers who want it? Because we just got a new vios 2019 and during the process of buying I asked the salesrep if it already has a backcam installed. She said no we’d have to buy it from them if I want it but my dad refused when he saw the price (3-4 times more expensive than our van’s backcam that he got from banawe). Fast forward to when we picked it up, I drove it and when I reversed out of the lot I was surprised there was a backcam installed. I asked my dad and he said they probably forgot to remove it. @_@ Is he right??
As usual and expected, Toyota ph downgraded this vehicle like what they did on the land cruiser. They really love to regress instead of progress vehicles in this country dont they? Not just Toyota but most motor companies in the country
Not a fan of the newer models of the toyota camry exterior. This design doesn't look luxurious to me anymore compare to the older models.

Personally, I don't like the looks of this Camry. It tries to much to be sporty. which for me, isn't what the camry is all about. It's more on classy, elegant and simple. I own an 2003 XV30 model, and I that for me is the best generation of the camry.
2.5 V top level variant and no reverse sensors at least? And yes, not a 3.5L V6 engine like previous top variant Camrys? Toyota just relies on branding, no value for money. I hope Mitsubishi and Nissan improve their offerings to teach Toyota a lesson.

Why Camry when there is Mazda 6 or Honda Accord. You're just buying here the Toyota brand and its model, other than that its not a good deal for your money, no sunroof, no back up camera, not so good infotainment system and somehow dated design not to mention that it looks like a Lexus Premium Sedan.

Bakit ang panget ng lower bumper ng camry sa pinas. Dito sa canada at US ang ganda ng camry lower bumper nila dito. Base model lang yan compare dito.
There is a 240,000 pesos (more or less) difference between this and the Accord or Mazda 6. Now that 240,000 pesos could have been put into useful features such as cameras, a sunroof and a JBL system. Why Toyota chose to strip this down and make it cheaper is quite a mystery. They could've gone the expensive side since a lot of people will still buy a Camry for reputation.

I would prefer the smaller 2020 Mazda 3 premium, it looks better and has more specs than this Toyota Camry.

My 2008 Camry 2.4V has buttons to control the stereo from the rear arm rest. Why doesnt this have them. And why no back up camera?? Jeeez

Sans the reclining rear seats, 3 zone climate control and USB ports (which was not a necessity in the late 90s) the nissan exalta sta has everithing this car has 20 years ago. Did I mention that the exalta has a sunroof?

Probably a stupid question because I'm not from the Philippines but why aren't Hybrid options popular here? The traffic is horrendous a lot of the time, at least where I'm living at the moment.
I've read somewhere that the warranties for the hybrid batteries in the Ph sucks.
